Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following Yi Min showing up to join the rabbit demon beast in fighting the five Soul Ascension Realm cultivators, it didn't take long before the five were driven into a corner. Forced to rely on some of the trump cards that they had gathered just for this kind of life and death situation.

Unfortunately, even with them using everything they had to fight back and find a way to escape from their current situation, they had no way of escaping for the rabbit demon beast whose speed was already close to rivaling someone in the Dao Seed Realm… And as they slowly realized that there would be no way for them to escape from their current situation, they began to grow more unrestrained in the way they fought.

In turn, this ended up forcing Yi Min to retreat back to the safety of her formation. Understanding that the battle had entered the most dangerous state as the group of Soul Ascension Realm cultivators had started to give up on escaping. Knowing that it would be impossible to escape from the rabbit demon beast.

At this point in time, it wouldn't be surprising if one of them ended up doing something crazy like blowing themselves up in an attempt to take her or the rabbit demon beast down with them.

Even if she was stronger than them, a Soul Ascension Realm cultivator blowing themselves up would still seriously injure her and even had the chance of killing her. Especially the one at the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Given that there was only a minor realm between them, there was a very real chance that he could kill her if he decided to blow himself up with some kind of forbidden technique.

Different from Yi Min, the rabbit demon beast wasn't the slightest bit concerned about this development and instead squeaked happily after seeing that the group of Soul Ascension Realm cultivators had begun to lower their guard and focus almost entirely on the offensive. As a result, the fight became even more chaotic than before, as the rabbit demon beast used its terrifying speed to weave in between the countless spells and techniques unleashed by the five Soul Ascension Realm cultivators while taking advantage of the lack of defense from the five to attack.

In the end, the first among the five Soul Ascension Realm cultivators soon ended up dying under the consistent attacks of the rabbit demon beast. "What do we do!?"

"I-I Don't know… Did any of you contact the people behind you for help!?"

"I did! But… I doubt they will show up in time. Not to mention, I doubt they will try and avenge me after my death. After all, this place is too far away…"

As the remaining four began panicking following another person dying, they realized that their time was time was running.

However, even if they knew about this, there was nothing they could do about it, as the rabbit demon beast was simply too strong for them to fight back and too fast for them to escape.

Even those among them who wanted to use a forbidden technique to self-destruct and take the rabbit demon beast down with them were faced with the reality that the rabbit demon beast could also use its terrifying speed to escape the moment they tried to self-destruct.

As for targeting Yi Min… That was even more difficult, as she had focused all her strength on barricading herself inside the guardian formation guarding the Iron Sky Kingdom. Making it so that they would first have to destroy the formation before they would stand a chance at killing her. Not to mention, she had begun to control the formation away from the border itself. Meaning that even if they self-destructed close to the formation, it would only end up destroying the formation and wouldn't harm her.

The only way that they would stand a chance at reaching Yi Min would be if two or more of them cooperated, but… They were all strangers before they had targeted the Iron Sky Kingdom for the spiritual metal deposits below it. Making it impossible for them to suddenly engage in that kind of cooperation.

With all of this in mind, one of the four Soul Ascension Realm cultivators decided to try and escape on his own. Taking the opportunity to slip away while the other three clashed with the rabbit demon beast-

Resulting in the remaining four being fully exposed to the rabbit demon beast on one side. Instantly causing two of the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators to die without any chance to fight back.

"Hmph! They think I want to continue wasting my energy here and wait to die!?" Frowning disdainfully as he heard the screams of pain and curses echoing out behind him, the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator who took the chance to escape during the clash wasted no time in taking out a small spiritual boat the size of his hand before throwing it out, causing it to rapidly expand until it fit exactly one person-

RUMBLE-!

Wasting no time, the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator jumped on top of the spiritual boat before injecting his qi into it, causing a terrifying aura to spread out from the spiritual boat before the space around it twisted violently for a short instant before the boat and cultivator on top of it disappeared.

Squeak!?

Seeing how one of its opponents had seemingly disappeared into thin air after jumping on top of the spiritual boat, the rabbit demon beast couldn't help letting out a somewhat confused sound. Not understanding how its opponent had managed to escape.

"What in the- A-a Celestial Spirit Boat!? How… How did he get something like that!?" Different from the rabbit demon beast who had no idea what the spiritual boat was nor what had just happened, the last remaining Soul Ascension Realm cultivator could not help exclaiming in surprise upon seeing spiritual boat and how it disappeared into thin air.

Squeak?

Hearing that the last remaining human seemed to know something about what had just happened, the rabbit demon beast could not help curiously tilting its head as it looked towards him with a curious expression.

"Huh? Ah! I-I know about how that person escaped and what that boat was!" Sensing the gaze of the rabbit demon beast changing from one filled with killing intent to one filled with curiosity, the last remaining Soul Ascension Realm cultivator who was also the only one at the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm seemed to have seen a path to survival. "Lord Rabbit! If you can spare this little one, I will be more than happy to share everything I know!"

Transforming from a powerful Soul Ascension Realm cultivator fighting with everything he had without any fear of death into a bootlicker of the highest caliber in an instant, the Soul Ascension Realm cultivator lowered his head as he waited for the rabbit demon beast's response.

Given his more than thousand-year lifespan, he was an experienced person and knew when to retreat and when to advance. Understanding very well that this was the only chance he had of getting out of his current situation alive. Especially considering that the injuries he received just now had pretty much rendered him unable to continue fighting.

Bowing his head to a demon beast? So what! None of this meant anything if he could get out of his current situation alive!

Seeing the last remaining human Soul Ascension Realm cultivator suddenly falling to the ground as he lowered his head while also telling it that he had the answers to what it wanted to know, the rabbit demon beast felt a sense of happiness welling up inside of it.

Lord Rabbit… It really liked the sound of that…

Having come to a decision, the rabbit demon beast signaled for the human Soul Ascension Realm cultivator to continue.

Its master had never said to kill the people attacking the Iron Sky Kingdom and had just told it to help out Yi Min. Considering that there wasn't any threat left, it wouldn't be a problem to leave this person alive…

"Thank you, Lord Rabbit! Thank you!"

Feeling a sense of happiness washing over him upon seeing the rabbit demon beast nod its head for him to continue, the last remaining Soul Ascension Realm cultivator began happily explaining what kind of spiritual boat the person who had escaped had used just now.

Unfortunately, he wasn't aware that the rabbit demon beast's curiosity only grew the more he talked… And given how respectfully he addressed it; the rabbit demon beast suddenly had another thought…

Wouldn't this human make a good subordinate…?
