Chapter 382: 【382】Not mistaken, looking for you_1
Under the woman’s seduction, all those old men had begun to feel the stirrings of spring.
They started to show off their knowledge and insight in front of the beauty.
Little did they know that while the woman made physical contact with them, their wallets, watches, and mobile phones had already been smoothly lifted.
Tang Feng watched from behind, utterly astounded.
In fact, when it came to sleight of hand, this woman was obviously not as skilled as Ma Wo.
But she wisely used her beauty to attract everyone’s attention and coaxed those old men into a state of proud complacency.
...
This allowed her to seize the opportunity to make a large haul.
Indeed, lust is like a knife to the throat!
Tang Feng couldn’t help but be filled with emotion.
After reaping her harvest from those lecherous old men, the woman did not linger in battle but quickly moved on.
The old men were still not ready to let go, watching the woman’s retreating figure, unwilling to snap out of their daze.
“Hey, where’s my phone?”
Finally, someone realized what had happened and started to frantically pat himself down.
Hearing his exclamation, others subconsciously reached for their pockets, only then discovering that all their valuables had mysteriously vanished.
“No good, there’s a thief, someone stole my wallet. It had more than two thousand bucks in it.”
“My watch is gone too. I paid over fifty thousand for it.”
“Who the hell stole my ring? It’s 24K pure gold.”
“Tell me, did you steal my wallet?”
“Damn, I was about to ask you that. I knew you didn’t look right from the start; hand over my watch right now.”
“I think you’re the thief. Give back my ring…”
As the old men talked, they suddenly began to accuse each other, each suspecting the other of being the thief.
Two of them, even got to the point of fighting each other out of desperation.
Yet from beginning to end, none of them ever thought to suspect the woman.
Clearly, the wonderful memories the woman had left them with were something they were reluctant to sully.
Tang Feng couldn’t help shaking his head and smiling bitterly; these guys were beyond saving from their own foolishness.
He followed the woman a bit longer, and in just a short distance, she struck successfully three more times.
Her targets were almost exclusively men.
She would either pretend to bump into them or initiate a conversation; although her tricks were simple, they were consistently effective.
The men she bumped into, far from taking issue with her, actually wished she had bumped into them harder.
The men she struck up conversations with were even more flabbergasted, their brains nearly ceasing to function.
Often at such times, they were unwittingly ensnared.
Seeing that the woman wasn’t going to come up with any new tricks, Tang Feng lost interest in following further and quickened his pace to approach her from behind.
“Beauty, nice haul,” Tang Feng said as he grabbed her shoulder to prevent her from slipping away in the chaos.
The woman turned to look at him, her face full of bewilderment, “You’ve got the wrong person, haven’t you?”
With a slight smile playing at his lips, Tang Feng replied, “No mistake. I was looking for you, Chen Mei.”
He had scanned her a moment ago and had already obtained the woman’s basic information.
Her name was Chen Mei, 25 years old, with more than three years in the trade.
Although not as experienced as veterans like Ma Wo, her heists had already amassed a total of ten million.
The current official reward for her capture was 200,000, ranking her as a seasoned pickpocket.
Caught off guard by hearing her real name, a flash of panic crossed Chen Mei’s face, but she quickly regained her composure, “You got the wrong person, my last name is Zhang.”
With that, she tried to turn away and leave.
But Tang Feng grabbed her arm firmly.
The sultry look on Chen Mei’s face instantly turned fierce, and she quickly pulled a razor blade from her handbag. Pinching it between two fingers, she slashed viciously towards Tang Feng’s throat.
Tang Feng’s mouth curled slightly upwards, and without dodging, he reacted faster, seizing her wrist.
With a gentle push, the blade was now pressing against Chen Mei’s own throat.
“I advise you to cooperate nicely, don’t make me get rough,” he said, locking eyes with her as a menacing aura emerged.
Knowing she was no match for him, Chen Mei let out a resigned sigh, “Alright, I’ll go with you.”
However, just as Tang Feng was about to relax, she suddenly cried out loudly, “What are you doing? You’re hurting me.”
Her voice was loud, immediately drawing the attention of many nearby people.
“Help me, everybody, I don’t know this man; he just grabbed me and insists on taking me away,” Chen Mei played the victim brilliantly, appealing to the crowd for assistance.
As expected, this move proved effective.
The bystanders, upon hearing her, shot angry glares at Tang Feng.
“What’s the meaning of this? A grown man bullying a young woman in broad daylight? Have you no shame?”
“Let go of her now, or we’re going to call the authorities on you if you keep assaulting her.”
“Look at this guy. He obviously doesn’t look right. Probably saw that the girl is attractive and wanted to take advantage of her.”
“This is outrageous, to get handsy with a girl in front of so many people. What’s this world coming to?” @@novelbin@@
“Call the police, this kind of man should be dealt with by the authorities…”
Tang Feng was momentarily speechless. These people really had an excess of righteous indignation, not even giving him a chance to explain before being ready to attack.
“You’ve all misunderstood. This woman is a thief. I was just about to take her to see the authorities.”
It was already at this point, so he had no choice but to explain the situation to the crowd.
After listening to his explanation, they started to hesitate, their gaze turning to Chen Mei.
But this stylishly dressed girl didn’t look anything like a thief.
Seeing that her gender advantage had worked, Chen Mei continued to plead to the onlookers, “Please help me, I’m begging you. I’m really not a thief; he’s wrongly accusing me. He’s just set on taking me away, and claim I’m a thief as a pretext. Woo-woo… Please…”
Her acting was top-notch, with tears flowing down her cheeks as she spoke.
Even the most hard-hearted person would find it difficult to remain unmoved by her act.
“Don’t be scared, girl. We’ll stand up for you. Let’s see what he can do to you.”
At that moment, a middle-aged man with a balding pate stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger as he faced Tang Feng, “Let her go!”
What do you think?
