Kill the Sun

Chapter 809: Desperate Battle

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

An explosion of apocalyptic proportions engulfed Aegis' headquarters.

War had appeared, and it fired directly at Aegis' headquarters.

A gigantic Barrier covering Aegis' headquarters was activated, and hundreds of tons of Zephyx were consumed in less than a second.

The Barrier wavered under the tremendous force, but it managed to survive.

An instant later, an unending swarm of locusts landed on the Barrier, trying to eat it.

More and more Zephyx was consumed.

Toxic mist was released by Pestilence, killing anyone who was even remotely close to Aegis' headquarters.

The Specters went all in.

Instead of striking the strongholds, they all focused on Aegis' headquarters.

Less than a second later, the Champion of Light, the Technician, and the Left Arm came out of Aegis' headquarters.

The Champion exploded in a shower of light, burning the locusts to ashes and banishing the toxic mist.

The Left Arm immediately started to age as she used her ability on Pestilence.

The Technician took out two highly advanced laser rifles that released terrifying screeches.

The lasers washed over the horizon, turning thousands of locusts into ashes.

But then, the whimpering of an infant echoed throughout the world.

A newborn baby crawled out of the ocean.

When the Shields saw that, they knew that they were in trouble.

Death had left the ocean and was directly attacking.

The infant released a terrifying wail, and all of Aegis was covered in a dark cloud.

The Champion exploded with more light, keeping the darkness at bay.

Yet, the infant just kept crying, and the light of the Champion was drowned out by the darkness.

The Left Arm's Zephyx was rapidly lowering, but she kept focusing on Pestilence.

She had to keep one of them at bay!

Suddenly, a shower of bullets filled the sky as over ten machine guns came out of War's body.

The bullets all focused on the Left Arm.

But the Left Arm just kept suppressing Pestilence.

The Technician focused his lasers on Pestilence as well, and the hearse started to crumble into pieces.

The next moment, War's machine guns vanished, and its gigantic barrel brightened.

The Technician narrowed his eyes in frustration and hatred.

"Take care of Nick," the Left Arm transmitted.

The Technician rapidly entered Aegis' headquarters again.

War fired.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The vortex around Pestilence vanished.

Aegis' Barrier wavered.

The black mist and the Champion's light were drowned out as another apocalyptic explosion dominated the world.

The explosion had been directed at the Left Arm, and it perfectly hit her.

Nothing remained of her corpse or belongings.

Everything had been turned into nothing.

In the next moments, seven Protectors shot out of Aegis' headquarters.

They would have arrived earlier, but they were just not fast enough.

The Protectors launched their attacks at the unending horde of locusts.

Pestilence released more gas, which directly went to the Protectors.

But then, the same vortex from earlier appeared around Pestilence again.

For just a moment, the Specters believed that the Left Arm was still alive.

Yet, when they looked at the position where the Left Arm had been, they just saw a male's silhouette.

It was the Politician.

The Left Arm's strongest student.

And just like the Left Arm, he had the vortex ability.

Pestilence's gas was suppressed and couldn't reach the Protectors.

The infant continued to wail, and the Champion's light was drowned out once again.

Death couldn't interfere in the fight since it was fully occupied dealing with the Champion.

The Champion's offensive capabilities were on the same level as War's.

If the Champion managed to land one hit on one of the Trio, they would die.

Death couldn't allow that to happen.

Two Protectors were consumed by the locusts.

The Technician kept attacking Pestilence while it was being suppressed by the Politician.

War pulled out its machine guns again and fired at the Politician.

Yet, a gigantic wall appeared in front of the Politician.

"Sorry for being late," the Wall, one of the Shields, transmitted to the Politician.

None of the bullets managed to touch the Politician.

When the machine guns retreated and War's barrel heated up again, the Wall shot forward.

He charged past Pestilence and Famine, right at War.

War retreated since its own weapon was so powerful that it would even damage itself if the explosion was too close.

War tried to get a good angle to shoot at the Politician, but the Wall kept standing between it and its target.

"Come on! Fire your last shot!" the Wall transmitted to War, coming closer.

Realizing that it couldn't get a good shot, War suddenly split into countless parts.

All its weapons flew in different directions and fired at the Politician.

The Politician's Zephyx dropped, but War could only achieve its outstanding offensive capabilities when all parts were one.

Meanwhile, Pestilence's hearse was cut into two pieces as the Technician's lasers hit it.

The Politician hadn't aged a single bit yet.@@novelbin@@

He was over a thousand years younger than the Left Arm, and he had a lot of longevity to spare.

Yet, his Zephyx was still dropping under War's barrage.

Suddenly, the Wall changed its target, and two gigantic bowls appeared in the sky, pushing all the locusts together.

The locusts frantically attacked the bowls while the Protectors kept attacking them.

Since the locusts were almost all in one place, their attacks became several times more effective.

War turned into his usual form and targeted the Politician again.

But then, a new person appeared in front of the Politician.

The person was covered in obsidian armor, and he pointed a gigantic sword at War.

War hesitated for just a moment.

That was everything the new person needed, and he shot right at War.

The new person's speed was unfathomably high, shooting past Pestilence and Famine in an instant.

The new person struck War with its weapon, but War turned into its components again, avoiding the attack.

All the individual components attacked the newcomer, but he took out several of the components while dealing with War's barrage.

This new person was Aegis' newest Shield.

Zandur.

His title was…

The Juggernaut.
