Chapter 436: Chapter 326: Prelude to War
Kola had never imagined things would go so smoothly. Initially, they had wanted to create a spatial channel from the Great Blood Sea to arrive in the real world, but it hadn’t been so easy.
Finding the location wasn’t as simple as saying, “Wushan City is next to Tang City in the real world, Sanjiang City.”
There needed to be a durable, obvious coordinate to guide the beings within the inter-dimensional fissure, opening an adequate passageway for them to descend.
Kola had thought they would need to create this signal coordinate themselves, but now these ignorant humans had gone and made such a thing.
“Blasphemous existence of the Lizard God.”
Kola thought venomously. The Star Torch in front of him shone like a beacon in the Spiritual World, a dazzling star that guided the way.
With such guidance… no, it was more like a projection, not just a pathfinder, but a conspicuous decoy.
Xiliye’s gaze was icy, “This race must be suppressed even more severely.”
“Xiliye, do you realize what you’re saying? Such a foolish race, exposing themselves to all of the Blood Sea Descendants and those monsters lurking in reality…”
Xiliye cast a glance at Kola, the fool of a Priest, and spoke coldly, “Can’t you see their creativity? The thing is marked with the fluctuations of Lizard Script. If left unchecked, they might even have a being capable of Demon Promotion. Besides, even the brightest torch is only temporary; they can cover up the flame.”
“And they think they can achieve Demon Promotion?”
Kola’s face soured when Xiliye called him out, but he couldn’t deny that this race’s ability to imitate was indeed unimaginable.
However, the power emitted from such a race’s souls was extremely precious.
“Kola, Xiliye, is this the human race you spoke of?”
Three inter-dimensional fissures were slowly opening, stabilizing gradually. From the central fissure, a dark, muscular Lizardman forced his way through, seated atop a pitch-black Toad Lizard Beast with bone spurs on its head, a dark purple tongue, and wisps of black air occasionally emerging from its mouth.
The Lizardman squeezed out of the inter-dimensional fissure, and the black Toad Lizard Beast leapt over a hundred meters, landing beside Kola; their three-meter-tall figure was a stark contrast to Kola.
However, despite their huge size, they were not a warrior but a Priest, holding a scepter made of unknown black rocks, and their lizard face was carved with many lines, clearly a tribal Priest.
“Aosha, how many people have you brought with you?”
Xiliye’s eyes were piercing as Aosha answered in a deep tone, “For the Lizard God, following the orders of Great Omro, the entire tribe of 100,000 people can come to fight.”
Kola and Xiliye gave Aosha another look, not expecting the Black Tooth Tribe to have bred so many of their kind.
The Lizardmen Clan from the three inter-dimensional fissures, all clad in unknown beast skin armor, mounted their tribe’s Lizard Beasts, either massive like war elephants known as Tyrant Lizards or bipedal lizards swift as warhorses, pouring out of the fissures quickly.
The tribe’s strongest warriors gathered first, the Black Tooth Tribe being the most powerful among them.
Besides the Fourth-order Intermediate Priest Aosha, the Black Tooth Tribe also boasted three Commander Level warriors, one Fourth-order Intermediate, and two Fourth Rank Lower Class.
Next was the Asaro Tribe, whose numbers were also bigger than expected, with eighty thousand Lizardman warriors. Their tribe Priest, Fourth Generation Asaro, also had the strength of Fourth-order Intermediate, accompanied by two Fourth Rank Lower Class Commander Level warriors.
The Greyrock Tribe was the weakest but still had sixty thousand Lizardman warriors, a Fourth-order Intermediate tribal Priest named Neiya, and her direct descendant and Priest Khalishat.
Warriors from the three tribes continued to stream into the battlefield; the commotion had already alarmed the Armed Forces of Wushan City.
Alarms blared nonstop as survivors from Wushan City were quickly relocated to safe zones.
Fully armed Armed Forces personnel summoned the Angel Envoy and immediately arrived at the first line of defense.
Armored vehicles, tanks, and Spiritual Energy exoskeleton Mechas rapidly took position, with heavy artillery instantly aiming at the three inter-dimensional fissures.
Yet even so, there was little confidence among the people, because just the Fourth Grade combat power at the forefront of the opposing side already numbered no less than ten upon quick visual scouting.
Besides the Fourth Grade Lizardmen, there were also a substantial number of Fourth Grade Lizard Beasts, all eyeing Wushan City with predatory intent.
Qin Henghu received the message immediately, and his face became extremely grave, “Suspend the lighting of the Star Torch, all officers follow me to the front line, prepare the nuclear bomb immediately.”
“Lord Su,”
He turned to Su Han, speaking with utmost seriousness, “Your Angel Envoy can fly, please be ready to retreat at all times. If the nuclear bomb proves ineffective, leave immediately and don’t concern yourself with anything happening to Wushan City. Wen Tao, prepare to lead the survivors to evacuate…”
Su Han frowned slightly. His connection with the Mother Worm’s mental energy swept over Wushan City at high speed.
“Three inter-dimensional fissures, thirteen Fourth Grade Lizardmen, and almost ten Fourth Grade Lizard Beasts, huh.”
He sensed the several powerful presences outside the city; the incessant flow of Lizardman warriors kept coming, and though it was just a mental probe, there were already more than a hundred thousand arriving.
“It’s the Star Torch!”
Zhong Tian cried out in anguish, his voice cracking. He was nearly out of his mind with regret, “We were all wrong; the Star Torch was providing us with direction, but it also offered guidance to those in the inter-dimensional space, especially when it was lit…”@@novelbin@@
