Chapter 2443: Challenge



Sam came out and picked the location dominant with the Zeus academy. A planet within a realm was completely under their control. One of the few places that Sam didn't disturb.

Of course, he wanted to leave that alone for now.

Sam met Ling Tian before he left. He gave him a note and said.

"Find the people in the list and their locations, by the time I come back."

"Alright."

Ling Tian didn't ask much. He had bigger things to worry about at that moment and since Sam already made some preparations beforehand, he knew that the Zeus academy location that he picked is about to be screwed this time around.

The news did spread around quickly. As soon as Sam entered it, the Zeus academy camp already sent someone to inform their team inside.

Sam landed at a random planet in the realm. He used the dimensional drifter to directly leave the place and arrived at the planet under the Zeus academy's control. He started his scouting while spreading his bird puppets.

The planet wasn't too big and he didn't hide his presence at all. People have seen him near the major cities, floating over, observing it. They even saw his bird puppets. By now, these are not surprising to anyone. They just associated it with his ties to the Hub.

They couldn't do much about it, so they just stayed put.

Some wanted to destroy the bird puppets, but Sam has scared them way too much. They didn't want to provoke him. If all Sam had were tricks, then they might have tried to lure him into close combat and be done with it.

However, his close combat is also good enough. In fact, elite compared to the most and he can still fight by crossing the minor cultivation stages. A lot more than what they could do.

Even if he cannot defeat them immediately or even if he had disadvantage in numbers, he can either use his own beasts or he could just escape. There was no catching him for them.

They just played passive.

They anticipated an attack and just focused on the defense to the fullest. However, throughout the day, there was no sign of attack. They only had the bird puppets scouting over the surroundings.

While they were thinking if they really lucked out. That afternoon, a message came at all the major cities. The bird puppets that were hovering around displayed the message.

"I am Sam. If you are native to this place, you might not know who I am. But your new owners, partners, guests, whatever you want to call them. They know of me. And they know me and what I am about to do very well.

So, for the natives of this planet. I am giving you a chance.

I do not have any conflict with you guys and I don't really want to see you lose your lives in vain. So, I am giving you and the Zeus academy team to give you a chance to live.

Pick one country in this planet and move all the natives there. Only me and the Zeus academy team can fight it out.

And it is not going to be a usual challenge. I wanted to test something out, so this could be your chance. I have identified a beast in this planet. The one that stands at the apex of this land's cultivation. Along with that beast, I will leave a couple of puppets and they will be the invaders on my behalf.

They are going to invade the cities in the order of the list that I will provide by the end of the announcement.

The beast is going to move in that order and that order only. It will attack you guys and you can defend. If you kill it, then it is your victory.

However, there are a few conditions. Starting from the first city on the list until the point where you actually manage to stop it. As far as that beast goes... that is my territory. Even if you stop it a few meters into the city, those few meters belong to me and I will not accept any resistance.

If you stop the beast after it passed through five cities, then those five cities are mine and if it went from the first city to the last city, then the whole place is mine. You can still keep that small country though.

Think of it as me being generous for your cooperating with my tests.

And whether you agree or not, this conquest will take place. My dear natives, if you choose not to move and obey these people, then I am not responsible for your deaths. While I do not prefer to have the blood of some bystanders as collateral damage... I have so much blood on my hands for such a thing to weigh on my conscience.

However, I do know how stubborn these fools can be.

So, I am giving you my word. Even if the people from Zeus academy do not want to send you, but you want to leave, then please come out of the city by dawn. They will not stop and if they do, they will face the full wrath of mine.

You just need to come out of the city and stand at a circle my bird puppet will make. It will give you a token, that will send you to a neutral location where you will not be bothered.

Finally, Zeus academy members.

This is a special challenge and if you agree, I can assure you that I will not personally make a move. But if you stop the natives from leaving, or if you do not agree to the challenge, then that condition is off. I will come at you with full force.

Trust me, I checked you guys out and it won't take me a complete day to deal with you guys. Make a wise decision."

The broadcast was then replaced by a large projection of some videos. The videos depicting what Sam had done in other realms. Mostly in terms of exploding and destroying cities.

One must note that the highest cultivation of this place is at the peak of second grade, a lot of common populace is still there with mortal and Astral plane cultivation. One of the reasons that many academy teams occupied some cities solely with their forces without any presence of the local populace is because of that.

They don't want to lose the lives of local population. They are a resource for the gods. They are the source of faith.

They couldn't afford to kill them.

However, Sam didn't have such qualms. Gambler never put targets like that for his academy students. Sam wouldn't give a hoot even if he did.

While the cities were thrown into chaos, Sam was in a forest, sitting on a tiger that was bound by many chains. The tiger looked extremely normal, except for the metallic sheen it

emanated.

Sam rubbed on its head gently while he fitted a metal collar around it. The collar expanded to its size and fit in there perfectly.

"This should be enough to defend most attacks. Its durability is high and it will recover as long as you keep on killing them.

And you will have some backup of your own. So, you don't need to worry that much." After Sam is done, he let go of the chains. The massive tiger... its head almost as big as Sam's whole body growled at him for a moment. But it didn't attack. It could feel its increased strength. Sam who hadn't used his bloodline enhancement techniques used it on this. The beast became pretty tame, pretty quick.

Then a metallic bug puppet that looked like a ladybug came out of his storage. Except for its black metal body and the size of a human head, it looked like a regular ladybug.
