After Xu Shuo stepped into the Abyss, the darkness seemed to get a bit excited.

But what appeared to be surging black water from the second underground level was actually a delusion of the brain; the third underground layer wasn't submerged in any black substance, it was just dimmer and lightless.

The walls and floors here were spread with Dark Matter, black fog floated in the air, and a nauseating stench emanated from an unknown source.

That was the unique aura of the Abyss, as if something had been left for a long time and had rotted away.

Soon, rustling noises came from nearby, followed by a piercing, ear-splitting noise, as loud as a train's whistle, suddenly filling the third underground level!

The sound charged out of the distant darkness, spreading throughout the entire subway station.

Then, a figure with incredible speed sprung from the empty train tracks, its silhouette darker than the shadows, extending numerous slender limbs, clinging to the wall like a domineering spider.

Behind the spider, a cluster of blood-red flames pursued, and in the next moment, Luo Kai's figure suddenly appeared within the flames, his long sword slashing downward!

Splat!

The blade sliced the giant spider in two, yet in a blink, the surrounding darkness surged and restored its form back to original; the monster quickly scrambled up and vanished into the pitch-black train tracks.

That monster had just been rushing towards Xu Shuo's side, and Luo Kai, pursuing it, also drifted over.

In the darkness, the figure of the young man was faintly visible.
