Urban God-level Youth

Chapter 286 Not So Good

Six or seven minutes later.

Qin Hao arrived at the art studio, where Fan Ruobing was seated, looking at the painting from the previous day, waiting for him.

Fan Ruobing, "You are five minutes late again today."

Qin Hao was a bit embarrassed; he was never this punctual for class, "I got held up with something. Haven't finished dinner yet, have you? Let's talk after you eat."

He placed the rolled pancakes and rice porridge beside her.

Fan Ruobing took a bite and then looked at him, "I don't like cilantro."

Qin Hao, "Picky even when someone buys you food. Be content, big sister, and besides, cilantro has medicinal benefits: indigestion, loss of appetite, and more. It's good stuff."

Fan Ruobing hesitated for a moment and then continued to eat.

Five minutes later, after finishing their meal, Qin Hao said to her, "Start painting, let me see if you've made any progress."

Fan Ruobing began to paint, and Qin Hao sat down and started playing with his phone.

A few minutes later, Fan Ruobing set down her brush and looked at him, "I still can't capture the feeling of your painting. Teach me again."

Qin Hao walked over to look at her painting, a plum blossom tree, mediocre at best.

He said, "Practice makes perfect. Just keep painting."

Fan Ruobing, "Teach me your technique for painting plum blossoms. It's not just about painting more; there's a knack to it."

Qin Hao, "What technique? I just got good because I painted a lot."

Fan Ruobing, looking at him, "Hold my hand as you paint, so once I've learned, you won't have to come teach me every day."

Qin Hao, surprised, "Hold your hand? How can I teach that way?"

Fan Ruobing, "By holding my hand as you paint. That way, I can clearly see your movements and techniques."

Qin Hao looked at her fair and slender fingers, "Is this okay?"

"Why not? Hurry up; don't waste time," Fan Ruobing said as she changed the paper.

Having said that, Fan Ruobing bent down beside the desk.

Qin Hao walked over, stood behind her, and then leaned forward slightly, gently grasping her fair, delicate hand.

A cool sensation passed to him; though autumn had arrived, the weather hadn't turned cool yet.

The coolness was coming entirely from Fan Ruobing's body, and he couldn't help thinking of the idiom "ice skin and jade bones."

Could such legendary descriptions actually exist?

Qin Hao's cheeks flushed, and he felt awkward, "Club President, this... this doesn't seem appropriate. Let's just forget it."

Because they were both bending over, it felt a bit too intimate.

If this continued, he really feared he would lose self-control.

Fan Ruobing's expression was cool, unchanged, "What's wrong with you teaching me to paint? Let's start."

Qin Hao took a deep breath, holding Fan Ruobing's hand, he began to move.

Fan Ruobing seriously observed the movement of the brush, as well as the pressure and precision of his strokes.

Qin Hao, to keep from being distracted, invested himself in the painting.

About half an hour later, a painting of a beauty admiring plum blossoms emerged on the paper.

He depicted what resembled an ancient palace garden, in the depth of winter with all flowers withered except the plum blossoms standing alone in their glory.

An anciently dressed lady stood before a plum tree, one hand grasping a twig, body leaning forward, seemingly inhaling the fragrance of the blossoms.

Fan Ruobing was stunned by the painting; she was captivated.

She immersed herself in the mood of the painting, imagining herself as the beauty on the paper, alone in a garden during the winter, savoring the fragrance of plum blossoms.

After a while, she came back to her senses and said, "Put your name on it."

"Okay, I'll write it now," Qin Hao quickly replied, moving slightly back.

Fan Ruobing, seeing that he hadn't written, asked, "Why aren't you writing? Your handwriting is very attractive too. I want to learn it, write."

Qin Hao leaned forward, hurriedly inscribed his name on the paper.

Fan Ruobing felt something odd in her body and frowned, "What's in your pocket?"

"Ah? Sorry, it might be my car keys. I need to use the restroom first," Qin Hao said, then darted out with remarkable speed.

Fan Ruobing didn't even turn around, still intently observing the painting.

Five minutes later, Qin Hao returned, back to normal.

Fan Ruobing, at another desk with a brush in hand, focused and serious.

Qin Hao felt a bit embarrassed; fortunately, he hadn't been discovered, or he truly didn't know how Fan Ruobing would react.

Scream? Get physical?

A few minutes later, Fan Ruobing turned to him, a glint of happiness in her eyes, "It really works. I feel like I've made a lot of progress."

Qin Hao offered a dry laugh, "That's good, it wasn't in vain that I put in so much effort."

Fan Ruobing, in a tone of no debate, said, "Continue teaching me like this tomorrow."

*Thud*

Qin Hao nearly fell to the floor, pleading, "Club President, isn't once enough?"

Fan Ruobing looked at him with her beautiful eyes, unsmiling, but Qin Hao felt the temperature in the studio drop several degrees.

Her lips parted lightly, "Are you unwilling to teach me?"

Qin Hao explained, "It's not that I'm unwilling, Club President, but men and women should keep their distance. It's too intimate when I teach you. If others see this, it could tarnish your reputation, and of course, it might affect me a little too."

After speaking, Qin Hao mentally gave himself a pat on the back for his quick thinking.

Fan Ruobing paused and then said, "I don't mind. What about you?"

Ah?

Qin Hao didn't know how to respond. Fan Ruobing herself had said it didn't matter; how should he reply?

"Club President, I still feel it's not quite right."

Fan Ruobing, "Say what's not right directly."

Qin Hao hesitated for a moment and finally confessed, "I'm a normal man, and you're so beautiful.

I'm afraid I'll react in a way that will make us both uncomfortable."

A physiological reaction?

Fan Ruobing spoke without giving it another thought, "That's fine, as long as it's not deliberate."

Qin Hao was somewhat speechless; she could accept even that?

He couldn't quite fathom what was going on in Fan Ruobing's mind!

Fan Ruobing said to him, "Come and see my painting. Have I improved since just now?"
