Chapter 570: The Final Thought
Chapter 570: Chapter 570: The Final Thought
Qin Mo looked at Dan Hanjie, wanting to ask about his preferences, but didn’t know what to call him.
Dan Hanjie, accustomed to being indifferent, just glanced at him lightly, “As long as Youxuan likes it.”
Upon hearing this, Qin Youxuan, who had been worrying that he wouldn’t agree to stay for dinner, immediately broke out into a smile.
She grabbed Qin Mo’s hand and hurriedly walked inside.
Once they reached the living room, the father and daughter naturally started a conversation.
Jin Chenye sat beside them, occasionally joining in.
The family was having a great time chatting.
Dan Hanjie sat silently by their side, just watching her, holding her little hand tightly.
Seeing her laugh so happily, he did not interrupt.
“I’m so full…”
It wasn’t until after dinner that Qin Youxuan, holding her little stomach, returned to her room and immediately flopped onto the bed.
She was then picked up by Dan Hanjie, “You can’t sleep right after eating.” @@novelbin@@
“We don’t have so many rules at home, I’m tired.” Qin Youxuan’s face fell, and she sneakily burrowed back under her covers.
The next second, she was picked up by Dan Hanjie again and brought directly to her desk, “How about introducing me to your room as a post-meal activity?”
“My stomach hurts, I’m not in the mood, and besides, it’s not your first time here…” He used to climb in through the window a lot.
Before Qin Youxuan could finish her sentence, Dan Hanjie had already embraced her from behind, one of his large hands resting on her little belly.
The warmth of his palm, pressing against the dull ache in her stomach.
“Is it still very painful?” asked Dan Hanjie, his brows knitted together in concern.
“Not, actually not that painful…”
His warm breath brushed against her neck and Qin Youxuan’s face blushed a little.
Following his suggestion, she opened the drawer and began introducing her room to him.
It wasn’t until she pulled out the photo album of her and Jiang Yu from the bottom drawer that Dan Hanjie’s expression turned serious.
“Is this your mother?” asked Dan Hanjie.
“Yeah, these are the photos of me and my mom from when I was little, I kept most of them.” Qin Youxuan carefully wiped the dust off the cover, then turned to the first page.
The photo showed a young woman holding a baby in her arms.
Only a few months old, the baby’s delicate face was exceptionally beautiful.
“Wasn’t I pretty when I was little? You’re lucky to have married such a beautiful wife.” After making a joke, Qin Youxuan, feeling embarrassed, quickly burrowed into his arms.
Her face turned beet red.
Dan Hanjie’s gaze flickered, he looked down at her, his large hand fondly ruffling her hair, “Mhm, I’m indeed lucky.”
His long fingers turned the page.
There were two photos on the second page, both of Youxuan from when she was a child.
From the size of her, she must have just learned to sit and crawl.
As if experiencing her growth process, Dan Hanjie perused the photos attentively, flipping slowly from one to another.
The further photos contained shots of Qin Youxuan alone and with Jiang Yu. Most of the pictures were heartwarming.
It was clear that a lot of care had been taken to create this album.
“This is the last photo of me and my mom. That year, she left me and went away. This album is the last memory she left me…” Qin Youxuan’s voice choked up, her small hand caressed the last photo in the album that was taped to the page, her eyes dimming.
“Your mother loved you very much.” Dan Hanjie’s gaze flickered, he gently uttered a sentence.
Other things can deceive, but eyes can’t.
The look in Jiang Yu’s eyes in each photo in this album was filled with intense motherly love.
What do you think?
