Volume 13 Chapter 32: Second Contract With The Great Spirit

Volume 13 Chapter 32: Second Contract With The Great Spirit

Later in the night, he came out to the second island. But there were a couple of people there.

"Why are you four here?" It didn't make sense to him why Carolyn, Alfia, Faelyn, and Scarlet were here.

"To witness a great spirit being contracted! Do you know how important these events are?!" Alfia's eyes narrowed. These situations only happen in a millennium! She had never seen one before: what made it worse was one occurred right next door while she was asleep!

The tree was a by-product. Now, the elf princess had to witness the second!

"I'm not going to miss this one." You either have to throw me off the island, or I ain't leaving! Her gaze said it all; he would need to fight her to get her to leave. The same could be said for Faelyn as well.

"..." Okay. Keith wasn't going to say anything to the two elves. Both had crazed looks. Glancing at the demon princess, she grinned, "Throw me out, and I'll tell everyone."

"Evil!"

"I'm here for fun!" Carolyn added with Ruby in her hand.

"..."

"Don't mind us at all." Cadmus and the rest of the adults were here on the sidelines.

Long Yueying smiled, "We're here to watch."

“Fine, fine.” Keith rolled his eyes as he turned to Nephele, “We can begin, right?”

“Mmhmm!” The great spirit of wind was ready to do so.

As the two stood apart from the others, a giant gust of wind soon enveloped them. The childish and lively Nephele was nowhere to be found; an ethereal and aloof beauty stood before Keith.

“I, Nephele, the great spirit of wind, have decided to make a contract. Will you accept?”

“I, Keith Freed, accept.” Keith nodded.

The gust of wind soon turned into a raging tornado as it floated into the air, dispersing in seconds. The sky was cleared of clouds; everyone could see the beautiful stars.

“So beautiful.” Everyone was mesmerized by the scenery before them. The stars were vivid as if they could pluck them from the sky.

Diana questioned Keith, “Do you feel anything different, Keith?” His body glowed a light green as he slowly opened his eyes.

“Hmm?” Keith deeply breathed, “Yeah, I feel nice.” Unlike the vitality he obtained from Diana, as he took breaths, it felt like his senses were riled up.

“I feel like I could run a marathon and some more.” It was one of those powerful feelings. He felt energized, and all his senses were clearer.

“See! I told you my blessing is magical.”

“Indeed it is.” Keith wasn’t going to deny it. Never did he expect that it would have such an effect on his body. As he continued to glance at his body,

"!" Keith quickly ducked down as a swing came his way. He glared at one dragon, "What was that for?!"

"Hmm, your senses are definitely sharper." His attack was sneaky and was fast before anyone could respond.

Keith scratched the back of his head, "I got lucky." His wild intuition kicked in to block it. His hearing was heightened as well; he could hear his hand slicing through the air.

"Now it's only you left, Udine!" Nephele giggled as she stared at the great spirit of water.

"Mmhmm."

"..." What's with that look? She looked like a meek puppy who was thrown out into the rain.

"We can do it sometime later." Keith patted the great spirit of water's head.

"Okay." Udine nestled into his hand.

"...Good because I don't think I can handle you contracting a third great spirit on the same day." Just saying it was enough to cause her to groan. Smoke escaped her mouth; the elf princess had been holding her breath as she watched this breathtaking scene.

"So what to do now?" Now that they have contracted, what are they supposed to do?

"I have something you can do for me, Nephele." A devious grin appeared. The others were just curious about what he had planned with all of this.

Keith grinned, “Diana, you’re going to work with her on this.”

“Eh?” "I'll tell you about it later, but training will be twice as tough." The others were quite shocked by his words. Keith didn’t think about it so much as he headed inside.

“Whatever it is, it was going to be interesting.” Cadmus chuckled. Did he plan all of this in advance? The candy and whip strategy, he gave Nephele what she wanted and then the whip coming down hard.

“Big Sister Diana! Please save me!” The wind was quite scared about this now. But Diana shrugged, “Nope. I have no say. He is our master, which means we must accomplish his tasks." She was also a contractor as well.
