Chapter 212 – Takemikazuchi.

*Luan's POV*

I opened my eyes after sleeping a little longer and found Hestia sleeping in my arms. I smiled as I looked at her face before getting up. As soon as I stood up, Hestia woke up as well.

"Good morning."

"Good morning," I replied while heading to the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth before leaving the room with Hestia. When I reached the lower floor, I noticed that Mikoto was no longer in the mansion.

"She left a while ago, right after waking up. She didn't seem to be feeling very well."

"What do you mean? She seemed fine last night."

"She didn't tell me what was wrong, she just left. I told her to stay and have breakfast with us, but she refused."

"That's unfortunate. And what about Lili?"

"Lili? She's probably still sleeping."

"Did you see her last night?"

"After we finished having fun, the three of us went to sleep. I didn't see her after that," Hestia replied.

"Take care of breakfast while I go check on her."

"Alright~~"

Hestia continued preparing breakfast while I went upstairs to the room Lili was using. I knocked a few times, but there was no response. I started to get worried, but when I opened the door, I sighed in relief.

Lili was lying in bed, sleeping.

'I wonder if she heard what happened last night…' I was so focused that I completely forgot about her. I should have called her to have fun with the three of us.

"Why are you smiling like that?"

"You're awake?"

"I woke up when you entered the room. Good morning~~" Lili sat up and stretched her arms.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well?"

"I went to sleep pretty late since you guys didn't let me rest." Lili gave me a mischievous smile. "I didn't expect you to handle both the Goddess and another woman at the same time."

"But haven't I already done that with you two before?"

"I've known the Goddess for a while now, but Mikoto…"

"Well, Hestia seemed to enjoy it a lot." I ruffled Lili's hair even more. "Come on, get up. Let's have breakfast."

"Help me." Lili stretched out her arms, wanting me to carry her.

"..." I looked at her for a few seconds before stepping closer. "Alright." I picked her up and carried her to the bathroom.

*Mikoto's POV*

When I got home, I found God Takemikazuchi. He was sitting on a cushion, drinking tea, seemingly waiting for me.

"Where did you spend the night?" he asked.

He didn't sound angry or anything—just curious.

"I was at the Hestia Familia's house," I replied.

Takemikazuchi took another sip of tea. "You were with him again? I think his name is Luan."

"…"

"I figured as much."

"I'm sorry, I should have told you."

"There's no need to apologize for something like that. What matters is that you're okay and that you had fun."

"…"

Takemikazuchi turned to look me in the eyes. He noticed that something was off.

"You look different from usual. You're worried about something. What happened?"

"I don't want to talk about it," I said, my voice trembling. "Please…"

"…" Takemikazuchi stared at me for a few seconds before smiling. "Alright. When you're ready to talk, I'll be here."

"Thank you." I lowered my head in gratitude and left the room.

I went straight to my bedroom, and as soon as I entered, I slid down to the floor, my back against the door. My breathing became heavy, and my heart started racing.

"This is crazy…"

*Ais's POV*

A few days had passed since I last saw Luan. And the last time I did, strange things happened. To this day, I still don't fully understand what happened.

But to be honest, I don't want to find out.

I feel like if I do, I'll either be disappointed or get really angry.

It's better to pretend nothing happened.

"Ais, what are you thinking about?"

"Luan…"

Tiona heard Luan's name and made a complicated expression. Seeing that, I asked, "Do you know something? Did something happen to Luan?"

"It's not that… It's just that I miss him too."

"Why don't we invite him to dinner again?"

"You know where he lives, don't you? You should go see him," Tiona said.

I do know where he lives, but should I? I'm sure the Goddess would be a little annoyed if I went there. We had a conversation a while back, and she said she didn't want me getting involved with Luan.

But she never told me why.

She just said she doesn't trust him.

"Are you going to the Hestia Familia's house to talk to him? If you are, I want to come too."

I left my room with Tiona, and as we walked down the hallway, we ran into Tione.

"Where are you two going?" she asked.

Tiona looked at me, and I answered.

"We're going to the Hestia Familia's house. We're inviting Luan to dinner."

"I want to go too!" Tione suddenly shouted. I was startled by her reaction, and Tiona gave a wry smile. Why did she get so excited all of a sudden?

"Oh, sorry for shouting like that."

"Don't worry, it's fine. Well, shall we go? I hope he's home. Since it's late, he might be in the dungeon."

"He's probably home. He's been publishing a lot of books lately, so he must be busy writing. Speaking of which, have you read his new story, Overlord? It's amazing!" Tiona said, her eyes sparkling.

I had read the first volume of Overlord recently, but it didn't capture my interest that much.

The world he introduced at the beginning of the story intrigued me a lot, but once the protagonist was transported to another world, I lost a bit of interest. Not that it's bad, but I prefer Re:Zero.

To me, the world of Re:Zero is more interesting.
