"I thought you are going to wait the king to pay for the invoice to fund our union," Zuri teased him. "I don't think he paid you yet."
The sound of laughter from people around them filled the room. People danced to music and children ran around with food in their hands. Everyone looked so happy. If there was one thing that Zuri learned from Rose it would be; your image in the people's eyes were important. How they saw you could be crucial.
Their dampened moral because the news of the lycan and the imminent battle with the royal warriors seemed to evaporate, at least for now when they were happy and their stomach was full. They chattered with each other happily.
Khaos and Zuri was sitting on the higher stage, watching everyone.
