Chapter 611 - 289 The Awkward Position of Zhuxia (Seeking Monthly Votes)
"Hailbo, is this really the Miracle Kingdom? Or have we not yet entered it?"
"This is it."
Hailbo looked at the fields and villages ahead, feeling not even a ripple of Miracle Power, "My teacher described this place to me, and it’s correct."
When he went to Aolai Country, Hailbo could sense ’direction’ the moment he landed.
Where the Miracle Power was, as a Miracle Citizen, it was too clear.
But this place...
Compared to Aolai Country, Zhuxia Country was like a desert, utterly devoid of anything.
"Then this place is too barren, isn’t it?"
Don’t be deceived by the fertile soil and the crowing chickens and barking dogs; in Cat Lulu’s eyes, these meant nothing. @@novelbin@@
Zhuxia Country, a Miracle Kingdom located to the southeast coast of the Iron Eagle Kingdom.
Generally, the kingdoms on Miracle Mainland make a clear distinction between ordinary people and Miracle Citizens, with the former living in the mundane world where there’s barely any magic, and the latter residing somewhere between illusion and reality, shaped by Miracle Power and resembling Fairyland.
Miracle Kingdoms, such as Avalon World, Eternal Forest, Fairyland Far Shore.
The world of mortals, just like Stellar Coast, doesn’t show any sign of Supernatural Power and is no different from the Lower Tier.
The Iron Eagle Seven Nations, Iron Eagle, Zhuxia, Clearspring, White Birch Tree, Thorns, Celestial Decree, The Other.
The strongest are Celestial Decree and The Other, they are long-established Masters of Miracles, both having surpassed Four Awakenings. They certainly can’t compare with the likes of the Empress of the East who has gone beyond Fifth Awakening, but they certainly have an edge over the Iron Eagle King, a newcomer who’s only 200 years old.
In the alliance of nations within the Miracle World, the leader of the alliance is often not ascended by strength.
There are various reasons for this, such as others not being interested in fame or unwilling to be burdened, preferring to live more freely.
The Kingdom of Starry Night, right next to Iron Eagle, is just such a case. Among the eight Masters of Miracles, not a single one is interested in the position of Starry Night King, leaving it all to that man.
Bailuo had heard from his uncle that the Starry Night King works very hard every day without any personal time.
Forget about chasing girls, spending money or showing off to slap others in the face, he is truly very, very hard-working!
So hard-working that he can’t even close his eyes for a second.
Although Masters of Miracles have long been no different from deities and don’t need to eat, drink, or sleep, if you truly didn’t have these things, would you still be human?
Starry Night King: For work, I choose to stop being human!!!
Honestly, if it were up to Bailuo to act like that, he would be a hundred times unwilling.
If you’ve become a Master of Miracles and can’t enjoy it more, then what’s the use of gaining such high authority?
It’s like some bosses, whose lives might truly only have a sense of achievement left.
But Uncle said that the Starry Night King isn’t doing it for any sense of achievement. Don’t assume he’s part of the evil camp just because there’s a Cain Empress in the country.
In fact, the Starry Night King is a Saint, an old good guy who promotes truth, kindness, and beauty.
He’s wholeheartedly dedicated to building a beautiful and harmonious Kingdom of Starry Night, diligent and exemplary, a Saint King whom even Uncle praises highly, very outstanding.
Of course, Bailuo doesn’t want to become someone like him at all.
Instead, he would rather be the Iron Eagle King or the King of the Mountains. The former was the leader of a rebellion who legitimately avenged everyone, and the latter is simply older with more experience.
Of the Iron Eagle Seven Nations, Zhuxia is the weakest.
Counted from the top down, Zhuxia has no Miracle Kingdom because Duke A’li, as Archduke, cannot release Miracle Power, not even a speck of dust, and cannot transform it into the Land of Wonders.
Similarly, there are no Miracle Citizens.
The Four Awakenings are extremely special, granting them power cost A’li countless efforts, truly not easy.
Zhuxia Country has a population of 200,000 citizens, who are humble citizens from the lost continent with considerable potential.
Unfortunately, they followed Duke A’li, a king who cannot grant Miracle Power.
Luckily, the humble citizens themselves have a comparably longer lifespan, with an average age of over 160 years, and with the sponsorship of Marquis of Clearspring, the population of Zhuxia People has only increased, not decreased; over the past eight hundred years, it has grown from the initial few thousand to the current 200,000.
It must be said, the reproductive capabilities of the Zhuxia humble citizens are lacking.
"Without Miracle Power, it means Zhuxia Country cannot even conquer planes and dimensions."
Cat Lulu has learned quite a few new things recently, no longer the same as before, "Then, doesn’t Zhuxia lack even military deterrence? What about the army? Is there one here?" Continue reading stories on NovelBin.Côm
"So what’s the point of forming an alliance with such a country?"
These words were not spoken aloud by Cat Lulu, but were communicated through her life contract with Hailbo, inaudible to others.
"Because Duke A’li is very strong."
Sometimes, the strength of one person can stabilise a nation, just like Duke A’li, there really aren’t many in Miracle World who dare to provoke her.
"Is she that impressive?"
"She’s alright, not that impressive really, compared to powerhouses like the Empress of the East or the Holy Emperor, she’s definitely nothing."
A voice came from in front of them, and they looked up to see.
It was a woman, dressed as though from a primitive era, in garments fashioned from the feathers of birds and animal hides, with several necklaces made of animal bones and teeth around her neck.
"Woo~~"
The black and white, round, fluffy bear-like creature she rode was slowly approaching Hailbo and Cat Lulu.
"I presume, you must be Duke A’li."
Hailbo helped Cat Lulu onto his shoulder, and he bowed slightly in greeting, "My companion spoke out of turn, please forgive us."
Speaking ill behind the Master of Miracles’ back was definitely not allowed.
Hailbo had experienced it before and nearly got killed by the Cain Empress.
Just thinking about the possibility of going to Holy Blood Nation in the future made him really anxious.
"Speaking the truth, where is the crime?"
Duke A’li might dress strangely, but her character was excellent, her demeanor extraordinary, "You’ve come on behalf of Saros, haven’t you? I heard he established Yatun Duchy, but to make a move on the ancient city right off the bat seems a bit much."
"He couldn’t possibly be unaware of Count Thorn’s character," said Duke A’li, "If he had asked directly, Count Thorn would have certainly given it."
"But with Saros’s wisdom, it’s beyond me to guess."
Duke A’li was well aware of the prowess of her old uncle; if he chose to strike, there must be a reason, he wouldn’t act without cause.
Bailuo had asked multiple times before and had learned of her old uncle’s detailed plan.
"Forming an alliance is not a big issue."
"After all, we know what our relationship is," said Duke A’li, "Yatun and I have had eight hundred years of association; forming an alliance is just a matter of saying the word."
"Then..."
"However, I regret to say," Duke A’li spoke, "I cannot agree to your proposed alliance."
"As for the reason."
Duke A’li gestured for Hailbo to look at her people behind her, the citizens laboring in the fields, "I fear no one, and I am unafraid of any Master of Miracles, but they cannot."
"My two hundred thousand Zhuxia citizens are all mortals!"
"As their leader," Duke A’li raised her hand, flames coalescing into a pipe in her hand, she took a puff and slowly exhaled, "I cannot, out of my own caprice, disregard their life and death."
What do you think?
