Volume 2 Chapter 1.5 - An Unexpected Encounter
< Stelliaz’s Pov >
When I was just two or three years old… my parents abandoned me.
Do you know why?
Because my Spirit wasn’t as strong as everyone else’s. I didn’t have the kind of power others had. I couldn’t use magic like the rest of them—my Spirit just wasn’t good enough.
That’s probably why they left me.
To be honest… I never really hated them for it.
I mean… who would want a weak child like me, right?
To be honest
I don’t even remember what their faces looked like anymore.
Even if I had the chance to see them again…
I don’t think I’d go.
But it’s okay now.
I don’t need them anymore.
Because I’ve met people who matter more than they ever did.
I may still be weak…
But thanks to the strength of everyone in this village
I don’t feel weak at all.
Especially that old man who’s taken care of me like his own grandchild
giving me a place to stay all this time…
I’ll definitely repay him.
That’s why I have to become stronger.
Even if I don’t have a powerful Spirit…
I’ll prove that I can still make a difference.
Two years ago, a group showed up in Bambo Village…
Ever since, they’ve been plotting to take control of this place.
“Dragon Clan,” huh? Like I care.
If they dare lay a hand on the place we treasure—
I’ll make damn sure they regret it.
…
“Let me help you out.”
Who’s this guy? Trying to act all friendly or something?
Looks younger than me… and I’ve never seen that face before.
A traveler maybe?
“No, it’s okay. These are things I’m supposed to be doing.”
I don’t need your help. I’m doing just fine on my own.
This is my job, after all.
“I understand… but I just couldn’t stand by and watch a girl carry such heavy bags all by herself.”
Huh? He just wants to help because he saw a girl carrying something heavy?
What, does he think I look that helpless or something!?
"Do you think I look weak or something?"
“N-No, I meant…”
"I understand you're worried, but don't. I must get stronger than this, and then I'll be able to protect this village and Grandpa."
Tch… I said something I shouldn’t have. I shouldn’t stay here any longer.
I walked away from that boy with the glasses and went back inside the bar.
I know I shouldn’t have reacted like that to a traveler
but still, it’s not like I was the one at fault.
There’s no reason for me to feel bad about this.
I watched as that person left from the place.
You should leave this village as well, since it's under the control of those guys.
[ Stelliaz ]
[ Stelliaz is 19 years old, 167cm (5'6") tall, with dark hair that has a slight pink tint on the ends. She was abandoned by her parents at the age of 3 and was raised by Jo Mori, the ruler of Bambo village. Stelliaz, with a weaker spirit than others, worked harder than others, focusing on training her strength and endurance to become stronger. ]

“Greet them! That's my business partner Jo Mori, and next to him is his granddaughter Stelliaz."
Charollo said.
Huh? That's the same person I met yesterday... Ah... I didn't expect we'd meet again.
“Yo... Looks like we meet again.”
“A-aha...yeah... It's nice to see you again.”
Sero looked at us with interest and asked,
“Have the two of you met before?”
I looked at Sero with a face that said, 'Are you serious?'
“Sero... We met just yesterday at the bar…”
Sero looked at Stelliaz thoughtfully, and suddenly, She remembered Stelliaz in her mind.
“Ah! That's the waitress we met at the bar yesterday!”
“That’s right.”
Stelliaz looked at her and laughed a little.
…
What is this feeling..?
…
Anyway, I hope she forgives me for what happened last night.
No..I should directly apologize to her.
“Uhm—”
While I was about to speak, Charollo called the three of us.
Nevermind.. I'll apologize to her later.
We walked up to Charollo-san and Mori-san, and after a short while,
we noticed Vanniez and James coming out of the forest,
carrying Charollo-san’s damaged wagon with them.
I was amazed by their strength.
"Ah, you two came back quickly. Thank you for bringing the wagon back."
"No problem. Let’s fix this wagon up even better than before."
Vanniez said as he sat down on a nearby log.
James, exhausted, came from behind and sat down on the same log.
Charollo cleared his throat and said,
"Alright then, let’s get started on repairing our wagon. “
“This here is Jo Mori-san, someone who used to craft wagons back in the day. If I’m being honest, he’s probably one of the best craftsmen in the world."
"Haha, now you’re just flattering me."
Jo Mori looked at the damaged lower part of the wagon and said,
"Hmm... this lower part is pretty badly damaged. Well, considering how strong that storm was the other night, it's not surprising. I hate to say it, but if we want to fix this better than before, it might take some time. At the very least... around two weeks."
"Two weeks? Hm, alright then—let’s give it our best shot!"
Charollo said with enthusiasm.
Jo Mori smiled warmly and looked at all of us.
"If you’re all free, why don’t you come by my bar? You must be hungry, right?"
"Yeah, yeah! Let’s go—I'm already starving!"
Sero said with excitement.
I'm starving too... I guess I'll have to wait for the right time to apologize to Stelliaz-san.
I let out a small sigh and stared up at the vast blue sky.
Honestly… could a world like this really exist?
Even if I somehow made it back to my world and told my friends about this, I doubt they’d ever believe me.
What do you think?
