Chapter 370 - 19 One Day Tour of Penglai Immortal Realm_2
Before they could react, a vibrantly striped tiger suddenly appeared in front of them, hopping with the grace of a cat. Although the tiger bore a fierce appearance, it had a pair of wings under its ribs. The wings seemed too small to support its body for free flight, but they were likely sufficient for gliding. This truly embodied the saying "like adding wings to a tiger."
Xiao Buli saw its ferocious approach and was just about to dodge when Xuanxu Zi stepped forward and waved the horsetail whisk in his hand. The menacing beast instantly transformed into a docile big cat, bowing and wagging its tail at Xuanxu Zi, appearing completely harmless to humans and animals alike.
"What is this?" Xiao Buli asked delightedly in a low voice.
"This is the Island Guardian Spirit Beast ’Flying Wings,’" replied Xuanxu Zi as he continued walking forward.
Xiao Buli hurriedly sent over a Soul Enlightenment,
Spirit Beast: Winged Tiger. (Flying Wings)
What a fantastic thing, thought Xiao Buli, his eyes filled with envy, absolutely delighted. He really wanted to capture it, but knowing its status, he guessed it was beyond his abilities. Seeing that Xuanxu Zi had walked some distance ahead, he was afraid that straying from his range might expose him to danger, so he reluctantly followed.
The further they went, the more wild beasts appeared. While they somewhat resembled ordinary wild animals, each of them had an extraordinary aspect, indicating they were all Immortal Beasts. It seemed this island’s name was derived from its inhabitants. Xiao Buli stayed close to Xuanxu Zi, observing the wild beasts, either lying down or moving around, yet all of them kept their distance without showing any signs of aggression.

While Xiao Buli admired the Immortal Beasts along the way, the two of them finally arrived at a flat platform at the mountain’s summit, where a massive stone gate stood.
Looking at the design of the stone gate, Xiao Buli suddenly realized something. The teleportation array they had passed through had just brought them to an ordinary island in the mortal world, and this island acted like a station. The stone gate before them was the actual Teleportation Portal leading to the Immortal Realm. He had pondered this for quite some time.
The stone gate before them was grand and majestic, seemingly carved from White Jade but more lustrous and emitting a gentle white light, giving it a sacred and inviolable appearance. Many stone statues flanked the gate, each standing about three meters tall, forcing one to look up to see their entirety. Clad in armor and wielding a variety of weapons such as swords and halberds, a quick count revealed there were about twenty to thirty statues. Although they seemed to be just stone carvings, the lengthy health bars above their heads betrayed their true nature. Xiao Buli did not dare act recklessly, unaware of how to activate these figures, and did not want to risk being knocked out for getting too close. Xuanxu Zi, noticing his worry, gave a slight smile and a sense of superiority emerged. He reassured Xiao Buli, "Don’t worry, they won’t attack randomly with me here. You just need to follow."
Xiao Buli quickly nodded in agreement.
Xuanxu Zi took deliberate steps and leisurely approached the stone gate, doing something with his hands that was not immediately apparent. The gate suddenly emitted a humming sound and burst into brilliant light. What previously seemed to be a transparent stone gate now displayed a curtain of light with dazzling, multicolored Streaming Light moving across it, which was quite beautiful to behold.
Xuanxu Zi stepped through the gate, and Xiao Buli, not daring to hesitate as there were still more than twenty vigilant statues nearby, stepped in as well. He felt no odd sensation, as if the light wall was nonexistent. It was his first time using a Teleportation Portal, and all he noticed was a flash of light before he entered another space without obstruction, simply as if he was pushing open a door and nothing more. Upon entering, the scenery around him suddenly changed.
If the scenery on Immortal Beast Island was beautiful and exquisite, the view before him was beyond words. Everywhere was alive with the sounds of insects and birds, and exotic flora was visible in every direction. Xiao Buli felt as though he had arrived on Pandora Planet, only this place was even more bizarre than that. He used the word "bizarre" because many scenes defied common reasoning.
A group of bubble-like entities floated gently past him. At first, Xiao Buli thought they were plants, but as they passed by him, they let out a series of tinkling laughs, almost like a group of sprites.
On the treetops, strands of what seemed to be green vines dangled down, playfully entangling with one another, each possessing life. Xiao Buli felt his eyes were not enough to take it all in; every glance at an unremarkable spot rewarded him with surprise.
"Disciple, keep up," Xuanxu Zi called from ahead. Ever since entering Immortal Beast Island, Xuanxu Zi had to constantly remind Xiao Buli to stay close. Despite his impatience, he felt quite pleased and a faint smile of self-satisfaction appeared on his face.
Xiao Buli hurried to catch up. Ahead lay a path paved with multicolored pebbles, composed of an unknown substance that glittered occasionally with sunlight. The path led to a stone bridge, beneath which rose a white mist, drifting slowly with the breeze, creating an ethereal stream of cloud. The scene was dreamlike and fantastical.
As they approached the bridge, Xuanxu Zi pointed ahead and said to Xiao Buli, "Look, this is Penglai Fairyland." Xiao Buli had now somewhat adjusted to the complex and beautiful landscape and was able to nod and respond normally.
Xuanxu Zi led Xiao Buli into the Immortal Realm, and on their way, they could see immortals either riding clouds or on the backs of Immortal Cranes flying through the sky. As they drew closer, a magnificent palace emerged from the mist, with golden roofs and large red walls, somewhat reminiscent of the Forbidden City but even more majestic and grand. As they walked inside, they saw many pavilions and towers, especially in front of the palace at the very top, which seemed to have a large open space in front, obscured by the swirling mist.
What do you think?
