This was truly the icing on the cake, though Xiao Buli believed that he might not have the chance to come here again, but having higher Prestige was always beneficial. Who knows, maybe after he grew stronger, he could get his master, or perhaps Gu Yuexuan by then, to bring him back to the Immortal Realm another time to see if they could catch some Immortal Beasts. Xiao Buli's heart brimmed with excitement as he fantasized about such prospects.

A Golden Armored Guard, who appeared rather disheveled after the battle, walked toward him. His helmet was missing at this point, making him look quite different from the majestic figure he had been earlier, but his deep-set features and his straight nose still gave him a military air.

"Mortal, you've done well. Here are some Spirit Stones as your reward," the Golden Armored Soldier said as he handed the Spirit Stones to Xiao Buli. Immediately, a system notification popped up in front of Xiao Buli: System Upgrade: Acquired 300 Spirit Stones.

"It was my duty. Is there anything else I can do for Fairy City?" Xiao Buli hastily replied with modesty. Kidding aside, serving Fairy City had significant advantages, and Xiao Buli saw no reason not to indulge in them.

The Golden Armored Soldier seemed quite pleased with Xiao Buli's response. A fleeting smile crossed his stern face, and although it was momentary, Xiao Buli caught it. For some reason, Xiao Buli felt a sudden emotional stir, realizing that these individuals must also be flesh-and-blood beings with thoughts of their own. Yet, that Heavenly Dao toyed with them, making them follow rules—it was a mystery what exactly Heavenly Dao was.

"That's wonderful. We need help clearing the corpses of these giants. Can you manage that?" The voice of the Golden Armored Soldier sounded much softer than before, although Xiao Buli wasn't sure if it was because of his newfound respect or because he had offered his assistance voluntarily.

System Update: Quest triggered, clear the battlefield.

Xiao Buli quickly nodded and tapped to accept.

Each of these giants was colossal, and most were composed of rocks and soil, Earth-Stone Giants. Since the bodies of the Ice Giants would turn into water after death, leaving practically nothing behind; and the Lava Giants' bodies would explode upon death, leaving behind flames and lava that cooled down to nearly nothing.

Only the giants made of earth and plants remained, their corpses lying there like small hills even after death. While it was possible to drag away the whole bodies, it would require a massive amount of manpower. The Loose Immortals from the nearby mountains or from Fairy Island had all dispersed after the battle, unwilling even to greet the Immortals of the city as they passed by.

The Immortals of Fairy City, accustomed to luxury, were hardly willing to undertake such labor-intensive work, not to mention they had just been through a battle. Most sought a quiet place to meditate and recuperate.

Nearly all that remained were the Golden Armored Attendants and the mortal servants, who could be seen swinging hammers and swords, dissecting the bodies piece by piece before carting them off from the city.

Xiao Buli approached the nearest Earth-Stone Giant corpse and struck it with his sword a couple of times, sparks flying. It did not appear to be easily cut through.

"If you have the excavation skill, you might want to put it to use," a seemingly honest and straightforward mortal servant suggested helpfully after watching Xiao Buli's ineffective struggles.

Xiao Buli quickly nodded his thanks and pulled out a mining pick from his bag, swinging it at the corpse a few times. Truth be told, Xiao Buli had little faith in this tactic, as it seemed a mere courtesy based on someone else's suggestion. After all, it didn't make sense to put chunks of giant in his bag only to discard them later, as that would be far too laborious.

But after just a couple of swings, Xiao Buli's heart leapt. This was unexpected?

As his pick struck the giant, a new notification immediately flashed before his eyes: System Notice: Acquired Huijin Stone.

Excitedly, Xiao Buli opened his bag to check the Huijin Stone to see what it really was.

Huijin Stone (Gold - Mineral): A rare material.

A good find indeed! Gold materials could be used to craft gold equipment and, while not as impressive as the Dark Gold equipment he had obtained earlier, it was still quite valuable. It seemed likely that the giants' bodies were composed of earth and rocks from the Immortal Realm.

Ha, when luck comes, it can't be stopped! Ever since Xiao Buli stepped into the Immortal Realm and visited the hot springs, good fortune had been following him, one after another. Although there were dangers, as the saying goes, "fortune seeks the daring." After battling with the python, he got a powerful pet; after fighting the giants, he scored the most impressive equipment to date. And now, even this tough menial work yielded precious ore, which only added to his already buoyant mood.

He feverishly kept mining the body of the giant, with the system's notification sounds ringing nonstop in his ears:

Despite the bountiful harvest, Xiao Buli soon encountered a new problem—the capacity of his bag was insufficient. With little space to spare in his bag and now filled with minerals, it wasn't long before Xiao Buli could carry no more. What to do now? As he looked around at the corpses covering the ground, they seemed like giant treasure chests, and yet he felt powerless to haul them all back.
