Chapter 457 - 48 Evil God_2
However, with a formidable enemy right in front of him, Xiao Buli had no time to admire or study these zombies. Seeing something emerge from the crystal coffin, he knew his efforts had paid off. Without caring what kind of zombie it was, he took out the Refining Ghost Copper Pot and the Giant Spirit Scepter. These were the enhancement combination he had in mind when originally crafting these three Magical Treasures. What aspects of zombies could be worth noting?
Xiao Buli channeled his True Qi, casting a Yin Transforming Skill and an Enlarging Technique on the freshly spawned Black Evil. Affected by the two powerful buffs, the Black Evil had barely taken a few steps before its body swelled dramatically, transforming into a three-meter-tall black colossus with muscles as hard as steel.
By this time, however, the cooldown period for the crystal coffin had elapsed. Black fog swirled, and a metallic glowing Iron Corpse walked out from the casket, suggesting that the types of zombies produced by the crystal coffin were random.
With these three Magical Treasures in hand, Xiao Buli felt fully assured. No longer engaging in melee combat, he hid behind the crystal coffin. If he saw a Serpent Demon approaching the edge of the large pit, he would send a Mysterious Ice Slash or a Sunfire Spellball their way to temporarily drive them back. Then, upon seeing a zombie emerge, he would cast two buffs on it. Thankfully, the crystal coffin emitted a ghostly aura. Although the Serpent Demons were aware of Xiao Buli's presence behind it, they hesitated to commit to an assault. The zombies, fearless of death, immediately set upon shaping up—oblivious to whom they faced, they would build a small mountain of corpses if Xiao Buli willed it. Without exchange of words, they directly lunged at the Serpent Demons. The Iron Corpse, with its innate defense, utterly disregarded any specific martial tactics. Grabbing a Serpent Demon, it completely ignored the shrieks and scratches on its body, tearing off a head in one hand and a tail in the other, brutally ripping the Serpent Demon in half.
The Black Corpse Evil, not to be outdone, leveraged its razor-sharp claws to coolly dispatch the two nearest Serpent Demons, casually ripping the body of a Serpent Demon apart as though tearing through a piece of tattered cloth.
In just over a minute, the area in front of the large pit had assembled over a dozen zombies, each displaying their respective strengths, effectively encircling the pit. Although the Serpent Demons were rampant, they could not take one step closer.
Now that he didn't have to worry about Serpent Demons disturbing the Lava Giant Python's process in the pit, Xiao Buli observed his nightmarish assassins with satisfaction, carefully assessing each zombie's abilities, quickly noting their distinct specialties.
For example, the relatively short red Blood Corpses could absorb life through their attacks. Even though its stature was only about two meters tall after the buffs, and no match for the three-meter-tall behemoths, as it continued to slay Serpent Demons, its stature began to increase progressively, and it now stood a head taller than the other zombies.
Then there was a green-haired Poison Zombie. Its attack power didn't seem very high, but it continually spat green corpse poison from its body, a sort of misty toxin that was different from the Serpent Demons' snake venom. Although both were poisonous, the corpse poison was evidently more potent. Serpent Demons enveloped in this poison initially struggled to stand, but slowly their torso fell and gasped for life on the ground. The most infuriating thing was that this poison didn't seem capable of quickly killing them. The struggling Serpent Demons on the ground occasionally jerked or twitched, their once fierce faces contorted as if trying to press their muscles through their skin, deterring other Serpent Demons from coming close to the green-haired zombie. Those lying on the ground served as a warning to keep the living away.
Although the zombies had the upper hand, their attacks were one-on-one, and they lacked AOE skills. Xiao Buli grew tired of watching after a while, so he began to cast Mysterious Ice Slash and Nine Heavens Thunder Fire Sword towards clusters of Serpent People, while the ten zombies handled the stragglers. Once this formation was established, it spelled a harvesting fate for the Serpent Demons.
"If I were you, I wouldn't waste my Physical Strength like this. Are you certain there are only these many Serpent Demons? What if your True Origin Points run out? Besides, you've got zombies to kill the monsters for you, why the hurry?" the Heart Demon, seeing the situation stabilizing, seemingly unsatisfied, chimed in.
"Shut up!" Xiao Buli shouted, his movements becoming even faster, as though opposing the Heart Demon was his usual way of dealing with it. After about ten more minutes of relentless slaughter, the corpses of Serpent Demons quickly piled into hills around him.
Another Mysterious Ice Slash was unleashed, and Xiao Buli suddenly felt weakened. His inner True Origin Force was nearly exhausted after the continuous bitter fighting. Looking around, he saw that only a few Serpent Demons remained, and although the majority of the ten zombies were injured, the early-appeared Black Evil looked particularly wretched, with half of its body as if clawed into a mush by Serpent Demon talons, tattered flesh hanging where its arm should have been.
The Long-armed Zombie, with the lowest defense, had its chest clawed through to transparency, and with a DEBUFF reducing its blood displayed above its head, it clearly hadn't escaped poisoning either. But overall, the situation seemed under control.
Xiao Buli sat cross-legged on the ground, tucked away the crystal coffin, the Magic Wand, and other Magical Treasures, and began meditating to recover his Vital Energy.
What do you think?
