Chapter 1473: The End of the Domain Traversal Battles

Jiang Qing'e's beautiful face began to emit an icy frostiness, then her cold gaze shot towards the Mythical Spirit Ancient College. Zhou Jun had just appeared on the platform. "Zhou Jun!"

Jiang Qing'e formed a seal with her fingers and condensed immense amounts of light resonant power in her hand. It very quickly transformed into a glorious, gigantic sword made of light that scintillated with all sorts of colors.

Jiang Qing'e's sudden action left everyone startled as no one had expected her to take action outside of the battlefield.

Zhou Jun's expression remained indifferent, as though he had already expected all of this. He formed a hand seal, and boundless thunder boomed before transforming into a giant palm made of thunder energy.

The lightning palm flowed with mysterious purple light that amplified the energy within.

When the palm made of thunder struck the sword of light, the massive sword immediately shattered and the thunder and light resonant power started to erode each other away.

"Jiang Qing'e, you're not supposed to fight outside of the battlefield," Zhou Jun said with a smirk.

At this point, Yue Zhiyu frowned and responded, "Zhou Jun, you truly don't want any face either. Did an eighth-grade Duke actually launch a sneak attack on Qing'e after she resigned?"

They had chosen to resign, and it was at that moment that Zhou Jun took action.

Sheng Qiao'er snorted coldly. Zhou Jun was sly and his words left no room for doubt. However, not every rule was blatantly written out and there were many such unspoken rules for the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's trials. Jiang Qing'e had expressed her intention to resign, yet Zhou Jun had attacked her. That was not sportsmanlike at all.

Even so, as Zhou Jun had said, he had done nothing wrong. Thus, they could only scold him and nothing else could be done.

Sheng Qiao'er turned towards Jiang Qing'e. "Qing'e, when I meet that fool, I'll be sure to give him a beating on your behalf."

Jiang Qing'e retracted her light resonant power and her gaze turned towards the outermost region, where she saw Li Luo's worried eyes. She nodded to indicate that she was unharmed.

When Jiang Qing'e's gaze met Li Luo’s, it was only then that he heaved a sigh of relief. After which, he frowned and glared at Zhou Jun.

He had been watching Jiang Qing'e's battle the whole time and thus, he had witnessed that despicable attack.

"What is that damn guy trying to do?" Li Luo was a little puzzled by Zhou Jun's final action. Other than infuriating Jiang Qing'e, that streak of black thunder hadn't caused any substantial harm to her. Was he dissatisfied after winning? Was infuriating Jiang Qing'e that fun? Zhou Jun was an eighth-grade Duke, but Jiang Qing'e was a third-grade Transcendent and not worth provoking. Li Luo was capable of overcoming an opponent five grades above himself, and considering Jiang Qing'e's foundation and trump cards, he didn't believe that she was unable to deal with an eighth-grade Duke.

Her team had lost because the difference in strengths between the squads was large. If it was just one-on-one, with Jiang Qing'e's personality, she would have fought to the bitter end.

So what was Zhou Jun doing? He didn't have any enmity with her prior to this.

In the end, it was time for the four reaper squads to face off against each other.

The Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College's Sheng Qiao'er was pitted against the Divine Sun Ancient College's Song Jing.

The Heavenly Origin Ancient College's Lin Ju then faced off against the Mythical Spirit Ancient College's Zhou Jun.

When their squads clashed, it formed the greatest spectacle thus far. In the end, Song Jing narrowly defeated Sheng Qiao'er, allowing the Divine Sun Ancient College to take first place amongst the four ancient colleges. The Hallowed Coruscation Ancient College was second, the Mythical Spirit Ancient College was third, and the Heavenly Origin Ancient College was last.

Thus, the first part of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's trials, the Domain Traversal Battles, came to an end.
