Chapter 1536: Nurturing the Fourth Resonance

Wang Taixi's sigh echoed through the heavens and the earth, causing everyone to feel shock. Even the Cloud Heavenly Emperor and the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor looked dazed and lost. The Celestial Mirror Pagoda's Heavenly Emperor remains belonged to Wang Taixi?

Wasn't this a little too dramatic? However, judging by how easily Wang Taixi had managed to control the remains and suppress its undulations of power, it was likely true.

The Cloud Heavenly Emperor then heaved a sigh of relief. Wang Taixi having suppressed the destructive energies meant that Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e would be safe. Otherwise, they might be wiped out of existence.

Meanwhile, the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor's expression was gloomy. Things were going well for it, but situation had been flipped on its head, which was truly infuriating.

To everyone's utter shock, Jiang Qing'e and Li Luo had been swept into the depths of the Celestial Mirror Pagoda by the pulling force of the Divine Fruit crystal resonance. Wang Taixi's gigantic Heavenly Emperor remains slowly filled their vision.

It was akin to a gigantic continent floating in the void. Although the destructive waves pulsing from it had been suppressed by Wang Taixi, the terrifying pressure still caused the two to feel as though they were treading on thin ice.

"Is this what a Heavenly Emperor is like? This is simply too frightening. Even though he died a long time ago, his mere corpse is capable of easily ending our lives." Li Luo's forehead beaded with cold sweat. He and Jiang Qing'e had been forced to come here, and it had frightened him to death. After all, being wiped out by a corpse would be a rather miserable end.

"This entire situation is outside of our realm." Li Luo smiled bitterly towards Jiang Qing'e. Who would have expected that this training activity for juniors would lead to Heavenly Emperors being lured out of their lairs? They had no right to participate in this entire conflict. Just the slightest touch of the collateral energy waves would kill them many times over.

"There's no need to underestimate yourself. You'll reach a similar realm one day," Jiang Qing'e consoled.

Hearing her consoling words caused Li Luo to grin. "Alright, when we get to that point, we'll capture the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor and beat him like a caged chicken!"

Wasn't it just about seeing who could act more arrogantly? Who didn't know how to say empty words?

Li Luo's wild declaration made Jiang Qing'e roll her eyes. After joking around with Jiang Qing'e, Li Luo recomposed himself. After which, he looked at the Divine Fruit crystal resonance that was floating towards him with a wary look in his eyes. As it approached, he could finally see it clearly. It was a huge and perfect-looking crystal. It was gilded in all sorts of colors and was engraved with primordial runes Li Luo had never seen before. As it quietly floated in the void, it was like a precious treasure condensed from the gathering of all of the energy in the world. One could see frozen rays of light intertwining inside the crystal, forming the outline of a golden fruit.

"A supreme ninth-grade crystal resonance that has produced a Divine Fruit..." Li Luo gulped. If he were to speak without exaggerating, this was the most precious treasure he had ever set his eyes upon. Generally speaking, even Dukes may not have qualified to be in its presence, even if they were Dukes on the Path of Ascension.

After all, this crystal resonance was something that even Heavenly Emperors coveted.

"Huh?" When Li Luo examined himself more closely, he could see that a layer of crystals was forming on his skin. The crystals had emerged from his flesh and blood and were actually absorbing his energy!

"Watch out, Li Luo!" Jiang Qing'e hurriedly exclaimed as small crystals began to appear on her skin.

Li Luo's Absolute Resonance Halo then roared and fused his resonant powers together, swiftly cleansing his body of the crystals.

Meanwhile, Jiang Qing'e activated her three middle ninth-grade light resonances and used their purificative powers to rid her of this ordeal.

"The crystal resonance is scary... just being in its presence affected us negatively," Li Luo said in horror. If it were any other Duke in their place, they might have unknowingly been infected by the crystal resonance's power and turned into crystal statues!

"Its sheer power is just too strong. This is not an opportunity meant for us." Jiang Qing'e's expression was solemn.

"Since we're here, we have to give it a try." Li Luo wasn't one to give up easily. This sort of opportunity was simply too rare, and the Divine Fruit crystal resonance was the only one in the world. Even if they couldn't absorb it completely, just a small bite would benefit them greatly. Furthermore, ever since he had arrived atop the Heavenly Emperor's remains, the Absolute Resonance Halo was becoming increasingly agitated.

A look of decisiveness flashed through Li Luo's eyes. If he wanted to pursue greater strength, he'd have to forge forward bravely. If his heart was always filled with fear and reservations, how could he overcome the trials ahead and ascend to the peak?

Looking at Li Luo's expression, Jiang Qing'e knew his decision. However, she didn't dissuade him and chose to support him instead.

"I'll give you a hand."

Li Luo smiled. "You're my fiancee, of course you have to help me."

He formed a seal with both hands, and a ray of golden light shot into the skies above him. It then condensed into a massive golden wheel.

It was the Absolute Resonance Halo!

This was also the first time that Li Luo had summoned it out of his body.

The Absolute Resonance Halo rotated in the air. His four resonant palaces were reflected on it, each occupying a section. However, the fourth resonant palace was empty and there was no particular radiance.

In the center was the fire cauldron, and a platinum-colored flame seed began to spurt out flames. The flame surged and soon shrouded the entire Absolute Resonance Halo.

It now resembled a platinum wheel of flames floating and slowly turning in the void.

It then targeted the Divine Fruit crystal resonance and a mysterious force emanated from it, attempting to capture and absorb its power.

The crystal resonance also began to shake. The numerous ancient runes on it began to light up and emit their own energy, turning restless.

Wisps of crystal-like light floated off the Divine Fruit crystal resonance as it floated towards the Absolute Resonance Halo.

As the colorful rays of light streaked across the void, crystals manifested into being, an extraordinarily magnificent sight.

When Li Luo saw this, his eyes blazed with excitement and his heart almost jumped out of his chest.

As the beautiful streams of energy entered his Absolute Resonance Halo, he could sense crystalline light growing within his fourth resonant palace.

It was the undulations given off by a resonance!
