'If so, I wonder just what level the peak of the system is. 100?' Ryuk thought to himself before he shook off the thought and ordered,

"Oh, now I understand..." Ryuk mused to himself.

He had broken through to the Cataclysm stage recently, and from that, his physical prowess increased. So it made sense for new attribute points to be added to his stats to reflect the increase in his power.

"If so, then... let's balance it all then. Add 50 stat points to Strength, 50 stat points to Agility, 50 stat points to Endurance, and 50 stat points to Intelligence," Ryuk ordered, and then—

BAADUUUUUMMPPP

He suddenly felt two reverberations within him—one from his brain and one from his heart—as his body went rigid, his eyes shutting closed.

RIght after Ryuk felt the sensation.

The same bizarre feeling of warm and cold, with the warmth meandering through every single inch of his bones, awakening them, while the coldness went to his brain, freezing it up.

The warmth filled him with pain, like having ants walk on a living person's bones, but then there was the cold that went into the brain, momentarily offering peace—just enough to balance against the pain and render him into a state where he barely felt both.

The sensation was fleeting, soon disappearing a few seconds later, and when Ryuk opened his eyes, he could see his own hands flashing with runic tattoos that radiated a blue energy.

'Just like when I reached 200 stats, huh?' Ryuk thought as he watched the notification panel rapidly change.

'My Intelligence and Charisma might be lacking behind, but not too far away to create much of an imbalance. I'll settle them in my next level-up,' Ryuk thought, and now that he had resolved the system quests, he felt a lot freer, as his eyes soon flashed while he began thinking of his next move.

"The last time I was able to force my way through the Cataclysm stage with raw power, but now I can feel it."

"I've reached the peak of power with my Ice Apex Cultivation."

"I can tell that even if I gather Mana, it won't necessarily increase anymore."

"It's the same sensation as when I wanted to reach the Plane of Ascension but was lacking something."

"And that time, what I was lacking seemed to be comprehension—and it seems like the same thing is happening now."

"At the Cataclysm stage, one can no longer just absorb Mana and hope to increase their level. What one needs is comprehension of Apex Energy."

"I can sense runes in every Ice Apex energy around me."

"Runes that I couldn't see before, but can see now."

"If I hope to increase my level, I need to decipher what laws are hidden in those runes, not just plainly absorb them," Ryuk mused, his gaze furrowed as he pieced together all he had learned from his previous seclusion.

Right now, it was safe to say, he had arrived at a bottleneck at the Initial Stage of Cataclysm for his Ice Apex Energy, and the only way he could resolve that was by comprehending the tiny runes he saw on the snowflakes in the Ice Apex energy surrounding him.

He felt like they held the answer, but he was also aware that he would need some time to slowly comprehend them.

It wasn't something he could blitz through in a few days.

He would need to take his time, but now, Ryuk felt like he could let it wait instead.

It was already good enough to reach the Cataclysm stage with his Ice Apex energy.

Now, perhaps it was time to focus on his Void Energy that he hadn't even checked out at all, even though he had the cultivation manual.

"Aetheris Energy might be the dominant energy here, but there is still pure Apex Energy here too."

"It should be enough for the beginning stage at least, and this is better than when I started Ice Apex Cultivation."

"It will do just fine..." Ryuk mused to himself, as he stretched his hand outward, and two objects appeared in his hands.

One was the pitch-black grimoire with the runic words that Ryuk could easily read...

"Void Asura Grimoire."

And the second was a—

"MEOW?"

It was none other than Void, who hopped down from Ryuk's lap, quickly climbing up with his clothes and giving him a few licks on the face.

"Yeah. It's been a long time, Void," Ryuk replied, chuckling a bit.

But he soon watched with a curious expression as he hopped away from him, its tail raised up high, and it soon sat down properly opposite Ryuk, its claw waving at him.

"You want me to... watch?" Ryuk asked as Void nodded its tiny head, before it suddenly stood on all fours.

Under Ryuk's curious gaze, he watched as a runic tattoo made its way onto Void's head, and then—

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

The air around Void began flapping violently as an intense Void energy erupted from the tattoo on his head, wrapping all over his body and then—

Ryuk's jaw dropped to the ground as he watched the darkness that soon covered up his body, his head slowly being raised up with his jaw hanging down from shock.

"What the hell!!!?"
