Chapter 56: 038 Empire's Lecture [Vote and Favorite please!]_2

F{h*F5.+ Vz38 Empire’s Lecture [Vote and Favorite please!]_2

The battle in outer space ended within just over ten minutes.

The silver-white battleship slowly retracted its gun barrels, its elegant curved armor coming back into view again, but the robust main cannons on the underbelly did not retract with them.

“What are they trying to do?”

Yang Ming asked softly, his gaze fixed on the observation perspective provided by Kolev’s drones.

Kolev slumped in the co-pilot’s seat as if all his dreams had been drained from him, muttering over and over, “I really should retire. I could buy a manor, invest a bit in real estate. Collecting rent wouldn’t be so bad.”

On the projection screen, two landing craft enveloped in flames rapidly descended to the planet’s surface, gathering information around the fissures of magma on the ground.

...

Ten minutes later, these landing crafts returned to the battleship. Before they could dock into the rear hangar, a bright blue beam descended from the skies, striking the city ruins below.

The attack’s landing spot was precisely where the biorobots had vaporized.

Then, a barrage of beams rained down densely, the battleship unleashing its firepower upon the city ruins below, swiftly creating vast rain clouds in the sky.

Battleship autopsy?

Yang Ming’s facial muscles twitched slightly, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

This meant that as far as the Guel Alliance was concerned, he was now entirely dead. Next, he just needed to change his appearance back to his own and change his name from Hanton back to Yang Ming to gain true freedom!

It’s just, the old man by his side had sustained some heavy losses.

“Kolev, our plan was successful,” Yang Ming spoke in a warm voice, “We’re out of danger now, and there’s no need to worry about our safety. All the information has been buried by this battleship, and no one will doubt that we faked our death.”

“Yes,” Kolev sighed, “So I just unilaterally lost nearly a hundred million Federation Coins.”

“I still owe you a million, which should be enough for your retirement,” Yang Ming watched the sky drawing nearer, “As long as a person is alive, anything is possible. Don’t lose hope, my wise first mate.”

Beep, beep.

A red dot suddenly appeared on the projection screen in front of Yang Ming.

“Captain,” the cold synthetic voice of Molly No. 2 resounded, “A gravitational anomaly has been detected.”

“What kind of gravitational anomaly?”

Kolev frowned and looked over, scrutinizing the instrument panel carefully.

His face rapidly changed and, with a low growl, he said:

“A large ship is jumping, a large ship! We’re near the end of the other side’s jump corridor! They’re about to jump directly near the planet! Insane!”

“Jumping? A jump near a planet?”

Yang Ming gently furrowed his brow, the knowledge he had learned over the past months quickly coming to mind.

Typically, the start and end points of a jump need to ensure stable gravitational conditions.

But certain large ships, incorporating technologies from powerful nations, do not adhere to these ‘typical’ rules.

Yang Ming’s decision was swift and resolute.

He pushed the helm down forcefully, and the stealth boat, which had silently glided to high altitude, plunged straight toward the surface like a diving predator.

Gravitational ripples that were impossible to observe surfaced in space.

That enormous object suddenly ‘appeared’ at the planet’s geosynchronous orbit.

Kolev’s pupils dilated violently, his breath held tight, almost beyond himself.

Yang Ming had already leveled the stealth boat swiftly, turning off both the forward and reverse engines, maintaining only the outer coating’s power supply, and stared in shock deep into the sky.

The surface here was already night, the edge of the heavens tinged with a faint white light.

The battleship, shaped like a ‘memory stick,’ now sprawled deep in the sky, blocking the Guel Alliance’s Dawn-level light battlecruiser.

The two ships, now at the same altitude above the planet’s surface.

This battleship was three to four times longer than the Dawn-level battleship!

More so, the front half of its body was a main cannon so immense and exaggerated, taking up half the length of the ship, its gun barrel lighting up sequentially!

A Dreadnought!

The Empire’s Dreadnought Level heavy battleship!

With an exaggerated length of three thousand six hundred meters, a hybrid energy cannon capable of shattering a closely placed fleet, it was known as the flagship killer—the Dreadnought Level heavy battleship!

The actively-glowing emblem of the Sherman Empire on the end of the ship now stretched Yang Ming’s nerves to the breaking point!

Kolev swore loudly, mouth dry as he trembled, taking out a cubic glass-like networking terminal, bringing up an interface similar to a radio and adjusting it continually.

“They might be communicating over an open channel,” explained Kolev with a quivering voice.

Cold sweat kept breaking out on the forehead of this old pirate.

Interference-laced voices emerged from the networking terminal.

“…Your ship’s locking onto ours will be viewed as an invasion of the Guel Alliance Administrative Star.”

It was Lina’s voice!

Soon, a somewhat deep and aged voice reverberated, likely the captain of this Imperial behemoth.

“Does your ship have an agent from the Guel Alliance’s Central Intelligence Agency by the name of Lina? We have transmitted her biological information to your ship.”@@novelbin@@

Yang Ming’s brow twitched slightly.

“It’s me,” said Lina in a low voice.

“You’ve stolen Empire secrets,” the Imperial Captain spoke softly, “You seduced a loyal Imperial officer with your beauty, and you’ve also disguised this originally loyal officer as dead, correct?”

“That’s all nonsense,” objected Lina.

“Charge the main cannon,” ordered the Imperial Captain, “Release the gravitational interference.”

A male voice from Lina’s side spoke up, “Do you intend to start a direct war with our nation? We are ships of the Guel Alliance!”

The laugh of the Imperial Captain carried an undisguised tone of contempt:

“You may contact your superiors now and tell them your ship is locked by ours; ask them what you should do.”
