Chapter 88: 054 General Social Etiquette

She was extorted.
Emilia Moon was now absolutely certain that she had been extorted by this man named Yang Ming!
He even siphoned off the equivalent of one million Federation Coins from her private vault in Wind Coins!
Moreover, Princess Emilia now had to endure this shameless man’s flirtation with her maid, while she could only sit squeezed between the guards and the living officer, wearing sunglasses, resting her chin on her hand, and remaining silent.
What a dreadful adventure outside the palace.
The floating car headed toward the center of Ilando City.
The scene of the incident was already in chaos.
The attack ship hadn’t attacked the other two bulletproof cars.
After Yang Ming picked up Emilia and the other three, he had Lyu use an anonymous information channel to send the news of the Fourth Princess being with the fake Talisha to Gudun Mah.
Gudun Mah immediately ordered the small attack ship to stop, forced the other two bulletproof cars to a halt, and captured eight Royal Guards from them. Through interrogation, they confirmed the accuracy of this anonymous message.
This terrified Gudun Mah and the other two military bigshots, causing them to break out in a cold sweat.
They had nearly ignited a civil war in this nation!
A new problem followed.
Where had the Fourth Princess gone?
The military found the empty bulletproof car in the emergency lane of the tunnel, with the Fourth Princess and her accompanying maid (the fake Talisha), living officer, and female guard all gone.
Gudun Mah stared at the videos transmitted from the scene, lost in thought.
Was this Yang Ming’s purpose for coming?
Did the New Federation intend to gradually seize the entire Luofeng Empire by manipulating the Fourth Princess?
Or was it that the New Federation didn’t want to see the Luofeng Empire fall into civil war and so sent Yang Ming to prevent this foolish act?
Gudun Mah analyzed it in a meticulous and methodical manner.
He was somewhat bewildered by the New Federation’s intentions.
In the past decade or so, the New Federation had always wanted to instigate a revolution in the Luofeng Empire, overthrow or marginalize the Wind royal family, using the slogan of freedom as cover to turn the place into their actual colony, simultaneously striking at the Sherman Empire’s peripheral forces.
Gudun Mah couldn’t help but suspect that his mentor, the wise and deeply strategic old fox, had deliberately refrained from verifying who was on the floating car and instead had issued the attack order directly.
If that were the case, what plans should he make for himself?
Gudun Mah kept pondering.
“Sir!”
A captain’s avatar appeared in the corner of the projection screen, reporting quickly,
“The Royal Household has sent a reply, requesting us not to disclose the Fourth Princess’s outing. The Fourth Princess merely went out for some fun, to see the grandeur of the Empire. The military attack ship’s mistake in locking onto the Fourth Princess’s car has been conveyed to the Emperor. Also, the Royal Guards have gone out to look for the Fourth Princess, and military operations on the surface should cease immediately.”
Gudun Mah nodded, “Follow their directive. Reply that the defense corps on the Head Star await the Emperor’s command.”
“Yes!”
The captain’s avatar disappeared.
Gudun Mah leaned back in his seat, letting out a gentle sigh, feeling it necessary to seek an audience with the Emperor soon.
‘Yang Ming, what do you really want?’
…
“Mr. Yang Ming, may I ask you a question?”
Inside the slowly moving floating car.
Yang Ming, who was humming a tune, was interrupted by the inquiring voice from the back.
The young Princess Emilia had already pushed her sunglasses up to her forehead, gazing at Yang Ming with her bright eyes.
Taking money in exchange for eliminating troubles.
Yang Ming replied with a smile, “Of course, my employer.”
Emilia asked softly, “Why didn’t they scan our floating car?”
“I used a little technical trick,” Yang Ming said warmly, “Over the years, with the continuous development of high technology, people have increasingly relied on machines, believing the results they see through them. However, when you have a technological advantage, machines are even easier to deceive than humans.”
Emilia blinked, “So, do you possess such a technological advantage?”
“Of course,” Yang Ming laughed, “I’m a businessman; what businessmen love most is exploiting opportunities, going on adventures, developing some new technologies.”
“Ordinary businessmen would not have the means to remotely control my vehicle.”
Emilia’s gaze became incredibly sharp, showing a maturity beyond her years.
She continued speaking:
“You were monitoring us, weren’t you?
“When we left the hotel, you knew I was in the car and then followed us, trying to do something—is that right?”
Yang Ming frowned secretly.
Was this young girl so hard to fool?
However, she was ultimately just a girl maturing too fast under royal pressure.
“Well, since you want to know, it’s not some unmentionable past. I only recently became a businessman.”
Yang Ming recalled his past when he played “Abyss.”
That was the time he remembered as the most carefree days.
Yang Ming spoke leisurely,
“Before being persuaded by Uncle Haton to help manage the business, I had a passionate sailing period.
“I sailed my ship with a few like-minded friends, exploring the hidden corners of the Milky Way, searching for legendary civilization relics, dealing with space pirates, buying supplies on the black market, and battling fiercely with powerful mechanical life and genetically modified lifeforms.
“Occasionally, we would join battles between legions as mercenaries, taking small flyboats that would shatter upon contact with a main cannon, swarming like locusts into their tails, then drawing our Light Swords and simple Mechas, engaging the Protection Shield, fighting the enemies head-on.
