Chapter 95: Chapter 95 He’s Like a Beast
If someone was helping out, there’s no need to guess—it must be Gu Wei.
…
When they met again, Su Meixi asked him, “Was it you who got someone to take care of Aunt Ma’s predicament?”
“Aunt Ma? What’s her situation now?” Gu Wei feigned complete ignorance.
“It’s like she was made an example of, but the hospital is offering free treatment for them, and they are leaving tomorrow.”
Gu Wei couldn’t help expressing his surprise, “That lucky?”
“Was it really not you?” Su Meixi looked into his eyes.
Gu Wei pulled her into his embrace but did not answer her question. Instead, he asked, “I’m a bit worried, though. If Dr. Ma isn’t in town anymore, what will happen to your clinic? Can you handle it alone?”
“It’s okay, as long as there are no emergencies. Normally, there aren’t that many patients,” Su Meixi said. “However, Dr. Ma has already applied for the county health bureau to send another doctor over, but we don’t know when they will arrive.”
“As long as you can handle it,” Gu Wei said.
He was now in the clinic’s courtyard, watching Su Meixi cook porridge.
Zhou Yuan had left the pot behind, which made cooking porridge quite convenient. Su Meixi had added red dates and peanuts to the porridge, and now it was wafting a delightful aroma.
“Want a bowl?” asked Su Meixi.
Gu Wei nodded, “Yeah, I’m finally getting to eat something made by my wife.”
She laughed, “It’s just too light, you may not be used to it.”
“What’s there to be unused to? Anything you make is delicious.”
“You’ve been getting sweeter by the day,” she said, her cheeks turning red.
Not only had she cooked porridge, but she had also fried two eggs with a pan, and made walnut juice with a blender.
Gu Wei couldn’t help but laugh, “You have quite a few Divine Artifacts here.”
“They were gifts from Zhou Yuan.”
At the mention of Zhou Yuan, Gu Wei couldn’t help but smile.
He had gained many secrets about Su Meixi from Gu Cheng, all provided covertly by Zhou Yuan.
While handing an egg to Gu Wei, Su Meixi said, “You probably don’t know yet? Zhou Yuan wants to be our sister-in-law.”
“Pfft!” Gu Wei almost spewed out a mouthful of porridge.
“Zhou Yuan said that? She is into my brother?” He was quite surprised.
“Yeah, she said it was love at first sight on the first day of the New Year, but since your brother ignored her, she came to me. Said it was to treat her heartbreak.”
“No wonder she traveled all this way,” Gu Wei said with a resigned smile. “But my brother is a tough nut to crack; I’m afraid he’s doomed to be alone.”
“Why? Does he not like women, or is he just against marriage?”
“He once loved a woman, but it left a deep wound, and since then, he’s been immune to women. Plus, Zhou Yuan is rather young; my brother wouldn’t be interested, he prefers the mature and sexy type.”
“Zhou Yuan is pretty sexy, too,” said Su Meixi.
Zhou Yuan was busty. If she dressed in a seductive manner, she certainly would be considered sexy.
Gu Wei smiled; the kind of sexy he understood was different from what Su Meixi considered sexy.
He thought Su Meixi was very sexy, especially her voice.
Remembering her scent and the places he had touched on her body, his blood couldn’t help but boil.
“Why aren’t you eating?” Su Meixi stopped to ask when she noticed he’d paused.
Gu Wei stared at her intensely for a few seconds, his gaze lingering on her chest, which caused her face to flush.
“Are you going back tonight?” she asked him proactively.
“I have to be on duty,” Gu Wei said.
“Then… after we finish eating, you should go.”
However, Gu Wei added, “No rush, we still have two hours.”
A blush spread across her face, and a tightness gripped her lower abdomen, “Two hours to do what?”
“Whatever you’re thinking, that’s it.”
After eating, Su Meixi went to clean up the Divine Artifacts.
Although the dinner was simple, the bowls for eating, the pot for porridge, the electric griddle, the egg pan, as well as the Divine Artifact for cracking walnuts, and the one for pitting dates, all had to be washed.
Looking at the time, more than half an hour had passed.
Gu Wei was already checking his watch.
No rush, there was still an hour and a half. That should be enough, right?
Although he had never slept with a woman before, he heard that an average session lasted an hour, an hour and a half would be outstanding, with very few needing two hours.
But he had also heard from the troops that some bragged about being able to go three or four times in a night, and some even claimed seven times, though it was unclear if those were true.
Su Meixi finished cleaning the various Divine Artifacts and then entered the house.
When she was busy, she hadn’t had time to check the clock, but now upon entering and glancing at the clock, she saw that half an hour had indeed slipped by.
That should be enough time, right?
Since the last scare on the grassland by the cow, she had been preoccupied with the matter, even sneakily searching for some videos to see how other people did it.
But the internet was strict now, the original versions were nowhere to be found.
She only found a movie called “Lust, Caution.”
It made her frown.
That traitor was really clueless on how to cherish a lady at the beginning, too rough, like a wild beast.
But it was explosive.
As she was pondering this, Gu Wei had gently enveloped her from behind.
He kissed her softly, and then the kisses grew more passionate.
When passion peaked, he pushed her toward the bed, and although he didn’t use much force, she still felt like he was a wild beast about to devour her.
She lay on the bed, eyes closed, waiting for the storm to come.
However, perhaps due to too much enthusiasm, the wooden bed, which usually felt very stable when Su Meixi lay on it, now with the addition of Gu Wei, “creaked” and suddenly two planks split!
Su Meixi’s body sank down, almost falling through to the bottom of the bed.
Fortunately, Gu Wei was quick to react and pulled her back up in time.
This was awkward.
Their panting eventually steadied, then they silently gazed at the cracked bed.
Not only was the mission unaccomplished, but even her sleep had become an issue for the evening.
Gu Wei wrapped his arms around her, offering comfort, then fetched a toolkit and began to fix the bed.
After an hour of mending, it was time for him to return to duty.
“Wife, I’m leaving,” Gu Wei said, kissing her softly on the cheek.
Su Meixi watched him leave, feeling helpless.
If she had known, she would have consummated the marriage sooner back in Feng City, rather than dealing with such difficult circumstances now.
…
Today, Su Meixi received a call from the City Health Bureau, saying that a new doctor was coming in the afternoon to offer support and she should receive him and help the newcomer get acquainted with the environment.
Su Meixi was delighted.
Sometimes the workload at the sanatorium was overwhelming, and being short-staffed really wasn’t convenient.
In the afternoon, Su Meixi had to rush to an emergency call.
Concerned about the arrival of the new doctor and noting the time, she could not make it back and had to call the clinic to ask nurse Sarah, “Sister Sarah, has the new doctor arrived yet?”
“He’s here, he’s here, a really handsome guy,” Sarah’s tone was joyful, even more so than when Meixi arrived.
Attraction between the sexes, normal.
“He hasn’t been scared off by our local conditions, has he?” Meixi inquired.
“Not at all, I’ve already got him settled in Dr. Ma’s old room, right next to you.”
“Could you take him to buy a quilt or something when you’re free?”
“No need,” Sarah replied, “he said using the ones you’ve discarded is fine. He doesn’t mind the surroundings.”
What do you think?
