Chapter 1075 Rushing for the College Entrance Exam (Ten Years Later)
Since completing her first mission successfully, Zhouzhou had felt as though she had unlocked a new level of power, continuing to uphold Ye Lingfeng's undefeated legacy.
For the past ten years, every mission she took on had been completed without a single failure, and her points in the Fourth Bureau were second only to Ye Lingfeng. The tasks Zhao Xinghua assigned her grew increasingly difficult, but both she and Ye Lingfeng had become the pillars of the entire Fourth Bureau. Their combined efforts had propelled the organization to an unprecedented height.
Meanwhile, those on the wanted list trembled in fear.
Once, many of the criminals who had ranked in the top 100 on the list had taken pride in their positions. Now, they were all nervous, wondering how things had changed. Four years ago, a little shorty had emerged, completely upending the world they knew. Experience more content on My Virtual Library Empire
Despite her small stature, she was ruthless, striking hard and fast. Anyone who caught her attention would never see the next sunrise. The people she targeted were mostly from the top 100 on the wanted list, and she had nearly wiped them all out. She had even taken out several of the top ten.@@novelbin@@
"Is she really that powerful? Probably just some exaggeration," one of the guards at a luxurious villa in the Golden Triangle area muttered, though his legs were trembling with fear.
His companion, hearing him, swallowed hard. "I don't want to believe it either, but look around. You've seen the evidence. And..." He lowered his voice and subtly pointed in the direction of the room. "Our boss believes it, or why else would he have called in so many people?"
This "little shorty" had a habit of starting her mission from the back of the list, working her way forward. She was now up to the fourth position on the list.
The former third-ranked August had been killed ten years ago, and no one knew who was responsible. Now, only three people remained in the top ten: number one, number three, and number four—Noah.
Noah was none other than their boss, and also one of the remaining survivors.
The guard thought for a moment before asking, "So, what's this little shorty's name? Who is she exactly?"
The other man shook his head. "I don't know much about her, but I've heard she once introduced herself as 'Fugui.'"
"Fugui?" The guard snickered, "What a weird name. Sounds so lame."
"Lame, huh?" A crisp voice suddenly rang in his ear, sounding sweet and pleasant.
"Yes, so lame," the guard responded reflexively.
The moment the words left his mouth, he froze, suddenly realizing something was wrong. His body stiffened as he turned to look, and there, standing before him, was a girl with delicate features.
She looked like a high school student, but her beauty was so striking, even more stunning than any celebrity he had ever seen. Her bright eyes sparkled with intelligence, and her cheeks were smooth and flawless. She had a high ponytail, and she tilted her head at him with an innocent, almost mischievous expression.
She seemed like an ordinary high schooler, but how could a high schooler approach them undetected? They hadn't heard a thing!
The thought hit him like a wave. Could she be...?
Before he could process his thoughts, the person beside him reacted quickly and immediately whispered, "It's Fugui!"
At that moment, the villa's lights flickered on, and the barrels of countless guns were pointed at the girl.
But she merely smiled faintly, still looking as innocent as ever. Then, in the blink of an eye, her figure vanished like a ghost. "Bang, bang!" The sounds of gunfire echoed, but it was their people who fell.
The guard's eyes widened in shock as his legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground in disbelief.
How could this be possible?
Her speed was beyond anything he had ever seen!
In that instant, he finally believed the rumors, but it was too late.
The girl's gun was aimed at him. "Bang!" The shot rang out, and he was gone, leaving only a stunned expression on his face.
Zhouzhou blew the smoke from the barrel and scoffed softly. "I'm not short," she muttered. "I'm 1.67 meters tall now!"
Though she was still far from her childhood goal, the label of "little shorty" no longer applied to her.
"Nice job, Boss, you're getting better and better," Skinny Monkey, who had been hiding in the bushes, walked out and gave her a thumbs up.
Zhouzhou, now seventeen years old, raised her chin proudly. "Of course."
"Let's go, we need to take care of Noah, I still have to rush back for the exam."
Tomorrow was the college entrance exam.
Dafu had taken the top spot in the exam a few years ago, earning a generous reward, and schools were fighting to recruit him with incredibly lucrative offers.
She couldn't let this opportunity slip by!
Skinny Monkey paused for a moment before he realized something.
He often forgot that despite Zhouzhou being so capable, she was still a minor.
What kind of child could make criminals tremble in fear? Only their Boss could manage that.
Cui Kun and the others had finished dealing with the other enemies, and seeing Skinny Monkey standing there, they gave him a quick nudge. "Hurry up, don't dawdle. Finish the job quickly, or the Boss will punish you. You don't want her to miss the exam, do you?"
There was a time when Zhouzhou had missed an important exam due to a mission, and she had been furious, causing Skinny Monkey to suffer for three days and nights in a one-sided beating.
Thinking of that moment, Skinny Monkey shuddered in fear.
It had been terrifying, beyond terrifying.
He didn't dare delay any longer and quickly rushed inside.
Noah, knowing they were coming, had already prepared an elaborate array of traps inside, designed by one of the world's top security teams.
But Zhouzhou merely sneered dismissively.
She had stopped playing with such childish tricks when she was eight.
These criminals, after all these years, had still learned nothing. Pathetic.
In the blink of an eye, she had bypassed all of Noah's elaborate traps and entered his room.
"How... How did you do it?" Noah stared at her in horror.
Zhouzhou didn't bother to answer. She pointed her gun at him and ended his life in an instant.
Dragging his body out, she casually spoke, "Sorry, I was in a rush, didn't have time to answer your question earlier."
She was a polite and honest person, after all. She always answered questions when asked.
"This is how I did it," she added with a smirk.
As she walked out of the room, not a single hair on her head was out of place.
Noah's soul, now separated from his body, watched her in disbelief. His eyes widened in shock.
But his attention quickly shifted to her earlier words, "What's the rush?"
"College entrance exam," Zhouzhou replied casually. "I need to score first place to get the money."
Upon hearing this, Noah was so furious that he almost spat out blood.
The person who had just killed him was a high school student?!
He had always assumed she was some ancient witch, a seasoned assassin.
But to think, she was just a teenager... A teenager had wiped out the top criminals in the world!
Zhouzhou checked the time and realized she was running out of time.
She handed Noah's body to Skinny Monkey. "Skinny Monkey, please help me exchange this for the bounty. I need to rush back for the exam."
Skinny Monkey's mouth twitched. "Quickly, go ahead."
At that moment, a helicopter landed above them.
It was Lan Tian coming to pick them up.
Zhouzhou quickly climbed up the rope, her movements quick and efficient. She changed into her school uniform with ease.
Noah's lingering soul floated in, just in time to see her changing. His anger nearly caused him to lose control.
The legendary Fugui... was really just a high school student?!
Such a high school student existed?!
What do you think?
