The day before joining the set, Sang Jiao learned that L would be coming over for surgery with his scalpel today, and Brother Shen was going to meet him at the airport, which left her feeling a state of panic.
She clutched her suitcase, at a loss for what to do.
“Jiaojiao, don’t you know L? How about I pick you up after shooting tonight, and we go see him together?” Sang Shen asked deliberately.
“Wouldn’t it be too much trouble to travel back and forth? Brother Shen, you should go on your own.”
Jiaojiao’s face displayed a forced smile, her arms trembling slightly. How could such coincidences happen?
If Brother Shen met L, wouldn’t her cover be blown?
“Going alone doesn’t seem convincing enough. How about I take you and Sang Qiao with me tonight for a confrontation? What do you think?”
Sang Shen felt a twinge of disappointment. Even at this critical moment, Jiaojiao still wasn’t willing to come clean?
He had someone check those chat records; they were fabricated.
“I…I definitely don’t have a problem with it, but would Qiaoqiao be willing?” Jiaojiao’s tone of speech involuntarily quivered.
“I’ll talk to her about it. Let’s go, I’ll drop you off at the set.” Sang Shen walked ahead, showing no intention of carrying her suitcase for her.
“Brother Shen, could you help me with it?” Jiaojiao pleaded weakly, intentionally revealing her reddened palm.
“Alright.” Sang Shen stepped back to carry her suitcase, his mood differing from the past.
In his mind, he involuntarily recalled the many times he had seen Sang Qiao, always carrying her own suitcase, never asking him for help.
But Jiaojiao was different; he would offer to carry it for her, or she would ask him coquettishly if he didn’t. @@novelbin@@
Thinking of this, Sang Shen felt an aching bitterness in his heart. Perhaps Sang Qiao had been disappointed in him from that time, feeling that even if she asked, he wouldn’t help.
During the car ride, Jiaojiao really wanted to find an opportunity to talk to Brother Shen, but he kept his eyes closed to rest, leaving her with no chance at all.
It wasn’t until they reached the film set that Sang Shen stepped out of the car empty-handed, standing ahead.
“Carry it yourself; I’ve never carried Sang Qiao’s luggage for her either. I must treat everyone equally.”
Hearing those words, Jiaojiao’s expression turned sour, yet she still put on an understanding front, “Okay, I understand, Brother Shen.”
The two walked in one after the other, and everyone was surprised to see the Sang Emperor.
Seeing Jiaojiao struggling with her luggage, they were even more taken aback.
Had the sky fallen? The sister-obsessed Sang Emperor didn’t even offer to carry Jiaojiao’s luggage?
“Sang Qiao hasn’t arrived yet?” Sang Shen acted as if he didn’t notice the stares around him.
“Not yet; she’s always punctual. Sang Emperor, do you need something from Qiaoqiao?” Meng Wange remembered the hotel incident that had caused a stir.
Could it be that the Sang Emperor, having paid a hefty sum, was dissatisfied and came to make trouble?
That shouldn’t be; with so many cameras around, would the Sang Emperor want to ruin his own future?
“No, I just haven’t seen her for a while and I miss her,” Sang Shen said with a gentle smile.
His words and expression made everyone feel as if they’d seen a ghost. When did they miss noticing something between the Sang Emperor and Sang Qiao?
“Careful what you say, Sang Emperor; the cameras are rolling,” the director wiped the sweat from his forehead, feeling a tingle in his scalp.
“What’s wrong with missing my own sister?” Sang Shen admitted he was doing it on purpose. He wanted to acknowledge Qiaoqiao’s identity; if Jiaojiao could leech off his popularity, so could Qiaoqiao.
Everyone: “!!!”
[What the hell? Sang Qiao is also the Sang Emperor’s sister? And they blamed her before?]
“Hiss, why did she have to come today of all days? When they met in the past, they seemed like archenemies. Did something happen?”
“I can’t help feeling it’s because the Sang Emperor doesn’t want to pay compensation, so he is acknowledging their sibling relationship.”
“Stop guessing already, okay? Brother Shen is not that kind of person. It’s clear that Sang Qiao not only wants the money but also wants to mooch off his fame! Forcing Brother Shen to acknowledge her.”
“Exactly, exactly, Sang Qiao is really cunning, wanting money and fame, truly disgusting.”
Just as the situation became deadlocked, Sang Qiao appeared slowly dragging her suitcase. She felt everyone’s gaze on her and slowly typed out a: ?
“Am I late?”
“No,” Meng Wange shook her head like a tambourine.
“Qiaoqiao, I…” Sang Shen moved closer, wanting to say something, but before he could approach, Sang Qiao went around him and entered the yard with her suitcase.
Everyone was even more stunned.
As if oblivious to the awkwardness, Sang Shen explained, “She’s still mad at me, so she doesn’t want to deal with me.”
Everyone nodded their understanding.
Sang Jiao watched as her brother diligently followed Sang Qiao, looking incredibly awkward, as if the special treatment that was supposed to be hers had been stolen.
Without even knowing the truth about ‘L’, her brother was already behaving like this; not to mention what would happen if he knew. No, she absolutely couldn’t let Brother Shen meet ‘L’.
Otherwise, what place would she have in the Sang Family in the future?

Sang Qiao was organizing her suitcase, aware of someone approaching from behind, she didn’t turn her head.
“Qiaoqiao, you and Jiaojiao will come with me to meet ‘L’ tonight, shall we confront him face to face?” Sang Shen spoke as if he couldn’t sense her coldness.
“Not interested, believe what you want,” Sang Qiao continued tidying up.
“I believe you. Don’t you want to expose Jiaojiao? She’s been replacing you for so long.”
Sang Shen knew that after this incident there would be no reason for them to contact each other; finding Sang Qiao in the future would probably be difficult.
“Are you inviting me to watch your dear sister’s embarrassment? Is this how you treat your sister?” Sang Qiao lifted her eyelid slightly, a smile touching her lips.
“I wouldn’t do that to you. I just want to take this opportunity to cheer you up by letting you get some revenge,” Sang Shen suddenly became a little flustered, not wanting to see Jiaojiao’s humiliation, but rather to allow Sang Qiao to vent her anger since Jiaojiao was at fault in the first place.
“Oh, but I don’t believe that. If you don’t leave now, I don’t mind throwing you out.”
Sang Qiao’s expression was cold as she stopped organizing her things and glanced at him.
“So, will you go tonight?”
“Get lost.”
“I’ll come back to see you later,” Sang Shen, reluctant to leave, was well aware that Sang Qiao meant what she said, that she would really throw him out.
He wasn’t afraid of being thrown out, but afraid that she would be angry.
Only when Sang Qiao heard the footsteps getting further away did she continue packing her suitcase. Once she finished, she went out to gather and saw Sang Shen lined up.
“Cough, cough, cough, our Sang Emperor and Liang Mengyun couldn’t participate in this episode due to personal reasons, but since they have now resolved their private matters, they are rejoining the team,” the director said.
As soon as the director’s words fell, it was hard not to suspect that the Sang Emperor was here for Sang Qiao.
Liang Mengyun, who was notified at the last minute to come, was both shocked and delighted. She thought that the Sang Emperor’s refusal to participate in the second season was a rejection of her, and she had given up.
But to her surprise, she received notice last night that the Sang Emperor would continue to participate, asking her if she was willing to come back as his girlfriend.
Of course, she was willing.
What do you think?
