Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Yao Hui: Mr. Si actually sent him milk tea?
Sang Qiao, up ahead, was totally oblivious to those secretly following her.
She quickly devoured the starch sausage in her hand, whereas the one in Chenli’s hand hadn’t been touched yet, making her feel a bit embarrassed as she remembered she hadn’t asked if he wanted to eat.
“Do you not like this?”
“Um, do you want to eat more?” Chenli responded indifferently, pushing the sausage in his hand toward her.
The young girl had eaten with such satisfaction, and he had seen it all.
“Eat! And if you see anything else you like later, let me know and I’ll buy it for you.” Sang Qiao took it without hesitation; thanks to the walk, the sausage wasn’t too hot but just the right temperature.
“Okay.” The man’s gaze fell on her small mouth, reddened from the spiciness, his Adam’s apple subtly moving.
Sang Qiao quickly finished her sausage and set her sights on the takoyaki ahead. She tugged at the man’s sleeve, “Do you eat that?”
“It’s all good.”
“Alright, then I’m going to buy.”
Without hesitation, Sang Qiao walked to the stall and ordered two servings. She picked one takoyaki with her stick, bit into it, and could feel the generous amount of octopus inside.
After finishing one, she suddenly remembered to take a photo, “Let’s take a picture, we need to send it to the director later.”
Chenli cooperated well, standing next to her with no smile on his face and a strangers-keep-away look. In contrast, Sang Qiao looked sweetly delighted.
There were only four takoyakis per serving, but Chenli only ate one from his serving, leaving the last three for Sang Qiao.
Throughout the walk that followed, it was pretty much the same; Sang Qiao’s stomach was like Doraemon’s magical pocket, filled with various snacks.
The cameraman was amazed, as it wasn’t apparent from Sang Qiao’s delicate frame and usual small appetite that she could eat so much at street vendors.
“These two just took one photo together, endlessly eating, truly perfunctory!”
“It really smells delicious watching Sister Qiao eat; I’ve already ordered takeout.”
“Damn! The takoyakis and starch sausages in our area have been wiped out, you crazy sisters!”
“Brother Li really dotes on Sister Qiao, don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he doesn’t touch what she loves to eat, leaving it all for her.”
“I think so too!”
By now, Sang Qiao felt full but then saw the enticing Grass Jelly Milk Tea ahead with lots of toppings. She turned her head to look at Chenli.
“Do you want this?”
“Buy.” The man answered without a second’s hesitation.
Sang Qiao briskly walked up and decisively bought two cups. This time, after two or three sips, she couldn’t eat anymore.
Looking at the two-thirds of milk tea left in her hand in silence, she swore she was really hungry when she saw the milk tea, but she hadn’t expected to get full so quickly.@@novelbin@@
She tried to spoon some Grass Jelly Milk Tea into her mouth, but she was unable to; she was full!
Naturally, these little movements of Sang Qiao were caught by the man next to her, and the camera captured everything clearly.
“Laughing to death, is the big-pocketed stomach finally full?”
“I see the despair on Sang Qiao’s face, she really can’t eat another bite, but feels it’s too wasteful to throw it away.”
“Just take it home to feed the chickens then, they wake them up every morning and should be ‘rewarded’ for that.”
“Can chickens eat Grass Jelly Milk Tea???”
“Chickens don’t eat that stuff!”
“Chicken: I suspect you guys want to murder me?”
“Full?” Si Chenli’s grass jelly milk tea was still unopened as he asked in a deep voice.
Sang Qiao nodded and didn’t hide it from him, “I’ll hold onto it for a while before eating.”
“Give it to me.” The man reached for her remaining milk tea, effortlessly used her already used new spoon to stir her bowl of milk tea.
Sang Qiao unconsciously held onto her spoon, “I’ve eaten from this!”
“I didn’t use your spoon.” Si Chenli didn’t even lift his eyelids, scooped a few more bites into his mouth, and quickly finished the small bowl of grass jelly milk tea.
Sang Qiao still felt something was off, “But…”
“You also ate my meatballs.”
“Alright.” Sang Qiao nodded, out of words, still feeling it wasn’t quite the same, as the octopus balls were separated individually, and the grass jelly milk tea was mixed together!
And her spoon, which had been in her mouth, had gone back into the milk tea, unlike the sticks used for octopus balls!
Before she could think any further, Si Chenli passed his unopened milk tea to the sneaky Yao Hui behind him, “Here.”
Yao Hui: “?” Weren’t he and Sang Emperor hiding perfectly? How had they been discovered?
Mr. Si was actually sending him milk tea?
However, his questions remained unanswered because Mr. Si and Sang Qiao had already left.
“…Tch, just throw it to you if it’s too much, Si Chenli really isn’t human.” Sang Shen voiced his slight disdain.
“But it’s still unopened, could it be possible that Mr. Si wanted to give it to me, not just throw it away? Otherwise why didn’t he give it to you?” Yao Hui tried to defend vigorously.
“Shut up, it’s just a cup of milk tea. Can’t I afford one myself? Do I still need him to give it to me?”
Sang Shen’s expression darkened, and he walked forward quickly; he had seen everything—this cup of milk tea was bought by Qiaoqiao, so rounding up, it was Qiaoqiao buying for Yao Hui.
Si Chenli had definitely done it on purpose, not giving him any!
“…This is different; milk tea from Mr. Si represents the utmost honor.”
Unaware of his darkened expression, Yao Hui continued to boast, then he realized something was wrong. Where’s the spoon? The straw?
How was he supposed to drink it? With his hands? How embarrassing! Pour it directly into his mouth? What if it spilled all over his face?
“Get lost.” Sang Shen said angrily, still closely following Sang Qiao and the others.
[Yao Hui is going to kill me laughing, such a fuss over throwaway leftovers, and he’s making it about some supreme honor?]
[LOL, and there’s Sang Emperor with a dark face, like he’s really upset about not getting the milk tea.]
[Please, someone buy Sang Shen a new cup to soothe him, he looks miserably pitiful.]
By the time they had spent all the money, Sang Qiao and Si Chenli at the front planned to head back to report, but it was only then that Sang Shen and Yao Hui realized they hadn’t taken any photos.
“Just take a random blurry one, we aren’t aiming for first place anyway,” Yao Hui clicked a photo with one hand holding his phone and the other holding the still sealed milk tea.
Sang Shen was sulking, looking like someone owed him millions.
Throughout the journey back holding the milk tea, Yao Hui pondered whether to worship this cup of milk tea; in the future, he could tell people it was given to him by Mr. Si.
His dad would surely be proud of him since this was the first time he received a gift from such a prestigious person, right?
Maybe he’d even feel he had prospects, being able to mingle with Mr. Si.
Yao Hui’s head was already filled with fantasies of his successful future, as powerful as Mr. Si, with his father crying tears of remorse for calling him useless in the past.
What do you think?
