Chapter 1053: Disqualification of Ji Qingwei’s Exam Status, White Moonlight, First Place! (1)
Ji Qingwei had always known she was different.
When she solved problems, all she needed was to glance at the question, and the steps to the solution would automatically form in her mind, as if she had access to someone else’s brain.
At first, she found this incredibly convenient and believed that her godfather had not deceived her. After all, she had inherited the fortune of the Lady of Luck, naturally replacing her and becoming Heaven’s favored child.
But it wasn’t until Si Fuqing reclaimed that luck, rendering her unable even to embroider, that Ji Qingwei was terrified to realize that everything she had possessed over the years was merely an illusion, something that had never truly belonged to her.
What she didn’t expect was for it to disappear so completely!
Seeing blood still seeping from the corners of Ji Qingwei’s mouth, the invigilator panicked. “Hold on, stay with me! Do you have any medicine?”
Ji Qingwei remained in a daze, not uttering a single word.
At the invigilator’s urgent call, the medical staff arrived as quickly as possible, swiftly placing the still-shocked Ji Qingwei onto a stretcher and into an ambulance. Only then did the invigilator breathe a sigh of relief.
However, the student seated in front of Ji Qingwei was deeply disturbed, his concentration shattered.
Furious, he decided to submit his paper early and filed a complaint against Ji Qingwei to the invigilator.
The rules of the international joint examination were clear: candidates were not allowed to disrupt others during the exam, or they would face disqualification.
Although Ji Qingwei was unwell, she had indeed disturbed the student in front of her.
The invigilator made a brief note and reported the incident to the International Joint Examination Committee.
At 6:30 PM, the exam finally ended, and the students felt as though they had been through multiple rounds of torment.
“Finally, it’s over. This year’s questions were insanely difficult.”
Meanwhile, Ji Longtai and Mrs. Ji had rushed to the hospital.
This was the best hospital in the Muston Dukedom, but to the astonishment of the chief physician, they couldn’t diagnose what illness Ji Qingwei had.
Despite having coughed up blood, her heart functioned perfectly fine.
The doctors were baffled but refrained from asking further questions, quietly leaving the room.
“Mom…” Ji Qingwei’s face was as pale as a sheet. “I felt really unwell while answering the questions today, and I even vomited blood.”
However, Mrs. Ji didn’t respond with her usual concern. Instead, she frowned. “So you didn’t finish answering the questions?”
Ji Qingwei meekly replied, “I-I only completed half.”
When the steps to solving the problems no longer appeared in her mind, she was completely at a loss.
Mrs. Ji closed her eyes, her voice turning cold for the first time. “Your father and I have spent so many years nurturing you, investing all our efforts, just so you could shine in this year’s international joint examination. And this is how you repay us?”
Ji Qingwei was shocked to hear such harsh words from her mother for the first time. “Mom? It wasn’t what I wanted—it’s because of Si—”
Mrs. Ji interrupted, “If you really knew how to solve the problems, how could you have been distracted by someone else? Could she really take away something that was truly yours just by reclaiming her fortune?”
This one sentence perfectly hit Ji Qingwei’s sore spot, making her face turn even paler.
“Enough, stop talking,” Ji Longtai interjected, though he was equally displeased. He looked directly at Ji Qingwei. “Have you thought of a solution?”
Ji Qingwei dug her nails into her palms, gritting her teeth. “As long as the luck returns to me, everything will be fine.”
Although she said this, she knew it was impossible.
Unless the godfather reappeared and used his miraculous abilities to help her regain the Lady of Luck’s luck.
But it had been over ten years since she last saw him, almost as if he had never existed.
Hearing this, Ji Longtai’s thoughts began to stir.@@novelbin@@
He had previously dismissed such things as nonsense, but now the evidence was undeniable.
“Don’t worry, dad will find a way,” Ji Longtai reassured her with a smile. “There are many extraordinary people in this world. We’ll surely find someone who can help us.”
Ji Qingwei lowered her eyelashes, clenching her fingers tightly.
She had only one path left: to become a chip designer for Above the Cloud.
Her work had already been shortlisted, and it was only a matter of waiting for the CEO of Above the Cloudto make the final selection. No matter what, Si Fuqing would not be able to stop her this time.

Meanwhile, Si Fuqing found a quiet, lesser-known restaurant and booked a private room.
As they sat down, Si Fuqing asked Old Madam In, “Grandma, did the rest of the In family follow you?”
“No,” Old Madam In shook her head. “They’re busy dealing with some matters with the Evolved Being Alliance. There seems to be some sort of transaction involved. I’m not in charge, so I don’t know the details.”
Si Fuqing nodded.
She didn’t care much about these things, even though Odile often kept her informed.
What do you think?
