Chapter 1102: Heavenly Doctor Ghosthand! (1)
In the world of evolved beings, conflict was an everyday occurrence.
The law of the jungle dictated that only the strong survived.
If one lacked combat prowess or the protection of a powerful family, injuries or death were inevitable.
In terms of fighting, In Yunxi was only marginally better than an average person.
However, thanks to her unparalleled healing abilities, the entire Evolved Beings Alliance protected her.
Even families with enmity towards the In family wouldn’t dare harm In Yunxi.
...
This was why the only thing her guards worried about was the potential danger posed by the Vengeance Organization. Thus, when they saw those machines designed specifically to target evolved beings, they were on high alert.
“You’re wise, Miss,” the head guard said, trailing behind her. “Saving him might just bring us trouble down the road.”
Given the In family’s current situation, it was best to avoid unnecessary complications.
In Yunxi gave a soft hum of agreement. “Investigate his identity later. See which family he’s had a conflict with.”
The head guard nodded and ordered a few men to take photos of Xie Yu.
From start to finish, they paid no attention to Xie Yu, leaving him behind as they walked away.
His injuries were too severe, and the energy inside him continued to rage uncontrollably. Eventually, Xie Yu couldn’t hold on any longer. He collapsed to the ground, slipping into unconsciousness as his awareness faded away.

Meanwhile, in the Great Xia Empire, at the Supernatural Management Bureau.
In the monitoring room, the department oversaw all unstable energy levels within the empire. Should any of the evolved beings experience a surge in their powers, the inspection team would be dispatched immediately.
Suddenly, a shrill alarm blared through the room.
It came from the central monitoring screen.
The head inspector took one look and his expression changed drastically. He exclaimed in shock, “This is bad! The young master is in trouble!”
Xie Yu was equipped with a bracelet from Xie Yanqiu, which monitored his condition.
The data now being sent back showed that Xie Yu was experiencing a violent energy surge, and he was seriously injured.
Panicking, the head inspector tried to contact Xie Yanqiu.
Unfortunately, Xie Yanqiu was preoccupied with handling an “A”-level emergency, a crisis that threatened the lives of tens of thousands in a city.
The call didn’t go through.
With trembling hands, the head inspector steadied himself and called Yun Fengzhi instead.
This time, the phone was answered almost immediately. The inspector spoke urgently, “Sir, the young master is in grave danger! Have you already arrived at the Western Continent?”
Yun Fengzhi had been sent to pick up Xie Yu from Glenn at Xie Yanqiu’s request.
He had just landed when he received the call from the Supernatural Management Bureau. His expression darkened as he responded, “Send me his location immediately.”
Upon receiving the coordinates, Yun Fengzhi ordered the security team to take him there at top speed.
It was just past 4 a.m.
The sky was beginning to lighten, and the metallic scent of blood lingered faintly in the air, though much of it had dissipated. Yun Fengzhi could still detect it as he made his way through the underbrush.
After a brief search, he found Xie Yu slumped against a tree.
The young man’s face was ghostly pale, his breathing so shallow it was almost imperceptible.
His body was covered in wounds, with the most severe being a gaping injury on the right side of his chest.
Even though the wound had been bandaged, it was clear that a sharp weapon had pierced straight through.
Some of the blood had dried, but fresh blood still seeped from several of his injuries.
Though evolved beings typically healed faster than regular humans, Xie Yu’s wounds were too severe.
Yun Fengzhi shut his eyes briefly, unable to bear the sight.
He and Xie Yanqiu carried the heavy responsibility of safeguarding the Great Xia Empire and managing supernatural crises, leaving them little time to watch over Xie Yu. Yet, whenever they could, they made time for him.
Xie Yu had wanted to enter the entertainment industry. Although they pretended to be indifferent, they had quietly supported his ambitions from behind the scenes.
Yun Fengzhi also knew how prideful Xie Yu was, that he would never complain even if he was wronged.
But how could someone be this strong-willed?
With Xie Yu’s combat abilities, he should have been able to escape from even the most powerful evolved beings. What had he encountered to end up like this?
For a brief moment, Yun Fengzhi’s mind went blank, unable to process what had happened.
The guards lifting Xie Yu had tears in their eyes as they carefully handled his body, ensuring not to worsen his injuries.
They rushed him to the hospital as quickly as possible.
The medical staff had never seen injuries this severe before.
What shocked them even more was that despite his condition, Xie Yu still had a heartbeat.
Yun Fengzhi stood before the tightly sealed ICU doors, taking several long moments to regain his voice. “Where are the doctors from the Evolved Beings Alliance?”
The physical wounds could be healed, but to stop the energy surging inside Xie Yu’s body, they would need someone of higher rank.
What do you think?
