Chapter 436: 339. Strengthening, Full Body Star Rank Equipment, Random Encounter with Noble Little Mossy Girl_2

Lin Da was so generous that he made Manager Omei beam with joy, almost enough to make gooey strands of happiness.

If it weren’t for Lulu’s cold gaze on Omei, perhaps the elf would have clung to Lin Da’s arm.

“Gold coins can make the beautiful elves take off that mysterious leaf,” the saying proved true indeed.

With about 10 million Gold Coins left, Lin Da stopped Omei, who still wanted to take him to the Orange Equipment area.

“What’s wrong, Lord Lin Da?” Omei asked with utmost respect.

Lin Da said, “Let’s go to the Epic Equipment area.”

“Sure… Of course! I’ll take you there right away!”

Omei’s eyes widened, so overwhelmed with happiness that she nearly passed out.

The Epic-level Equipment of Star Rank could cost millions of Gold Coins each.

Lin Da, this big client, would bring her a commission of at least a thousand Gold Coins.

She could go relax at the [Wild Orcs] bar again!

Omei enthusiastically led Lin Da through a heavy iron door and after passing through three Magic Circles for checks, they finally entered a small room.

Inside the room, there were twelve cylindrical crystal display cabinets, with the deep purple light from the equipment making one’s heart flutter.

The surrounding Magic Power was so dense that it made Lin Da and her feel almost suffocated.

Arriving here, Omei’s expression became much more serious as she said,

“Lord Lin Da, these are all the Epic-level Equipment of Star Rank currently available in our business.

If you need Epic Equipment of Moon Rank, you would have to notify us a month in advance so we can transfer it from the big cities here.”

“Moon Rank, we’ll talk about that in a few days,” Lin Da said calmly.

Omei’s polite words were just that, but Lin Da’s reply made her eyelids twitch.

Did she hear it right – that ascending to Moon Rank was just a matter of time for the captain of the Phoenix Tail Flower Team?

If Lin Da could ascend this year, he would be the youngest Moon Rank adventurer in the history of White Dove City.

Omei swallowed, feeling as if the room was too hot, she pulled at her collar.

Too bad, Lin Da was not at all interested in this self-deluded elf.

His mind was only on the equipment, his eager gaze fixed on those cylindrical cabinets.

He wanted every piece of Epic-level Equipment and stood in front of them for a long time.

But with only 10 million in his pocket, he could buy at most two.

After some internal struggle and decision-making, Lin Da chose these two:

[Item: Green Dragon’s Cavity Tooth]

[Quality: Epic Two-Star]

[Level: 32]

[Type: Jewelry]

[Attributes: Magic Power +1000, Dragon Series Skill Power +30%]

[Score: 2555.

The proud Green Dragon Warrior Saphatis, overly fond of orange gummies, suffered from a toothache.

One noon, it tied a hemp rope around its decaying tooth, tying the other end to a raging rhinoceros, which pulled and snapped the dragon’s tooth off, turning it into an Epic-level Equipment.

“My dear friend, if you have orange gummies, it’s best you give them to me to deal with,” said the Green Dragon Warrior Saphatis.

It resides somewhere in the 20th level of the Great Mystery Continent, waiting for adventurers to feed it.]

This seemed to be a sort of Easter Egg equipment.

Lin Da quietly remembered the name of the Green Dragon Warrior Saphatis, linked its cavity tooth to his own Magic Circuit, and then placed it into his Space Ring.

The greatest feature of this equipment was to enhance the power of Dragon Series Skills, which worked very well with Forest Dragon’s Rage Fang.

The second piece of equipment he purchased was called [Heavy Earth Dragon Longsword].

Also Epic Two-Star, its attribute was the unadorned addition of 1700 points to Magic Attack.

Outfitted with full Star Rank Equipment, when Lin Da no longer restrained his aura, allowing Magic Power to radiate outward, deep purple particles of Magic Power actually formed around him.

It was somewhat like in online games when equipment is enhanced to a certain level, it begins to glow.

Lin Da felt a surging of Magic Power within him, feeling as if he could knock down a normal state Hulus with a single punch.

His Ability reached an astonishing degree, leading in Hit Points and Defense Value among those of the same level, and he could almost compete with a level 39 Heavy Armored Warrior.

He couldn’t compare to those adventurers from the Great Nobility wearing top-notch Epic gear, but here in a small place like White Dove City, his Attributes and Equipment were indeed “spectacular.”

His current Attribute Points were:

Name: Lin Da

Level: 33

Profession: Chosen Healing Hero

Hit Points: 16500

Magic Power: 4710

Strength: 4710

Defense: 649

Magic Defense: 762

Agility: 520

Extra Bonus: Dragon-type Skill Damage +30%

Resistance: Poison Resistance Reduction 30%,

Experience Points: 24098/300000

Remaining Skill Points: 6

Lin Da’s health points increased by more than 3000, and his magic power exceeded 1000.

Judging by the panel alone, except for agility, he completely surpassed Lulu, a warrior-class character.

Capable of both attacking and defending, he also had a terrifying recovery amount.

Lin Da’s Dark Shadow account at the same level was only twice as high.

But that was with a set of luxurious equipment.

Only twice as high, that’s all.

From this, it was evident that Lin Da’s Healing Hero profession was a number aberration, a “bucket-type” monstrosity.

He thought to himself that the gains from the Forest Dragon this time were all used on himself. Next time they conquered the World Tree, the spoils of battle would be used to equip his teammates.

In the higher levels of the World Tree, one could not advance alone.

Lin Da had also promised to take them to the top, and this time, he would not break his word.

The group walked out of the small room in single file and returned to the brightly lit hall.

“Now we can rest a bit easier…” Lulu, sensing the strong aura emanating from Lin Da, let out a sigh of relief.

Actually, Lin Da’s plan was very reckless.

He alone entered the Teleportation Array, heading to who knows where—the lair of Heretics…

Even though Bailuo would adjust the Wave Detection Instrument here, no one could guarantee how many Heretics were on the other side of the Teleportation Array, or if Lin Da could hold out until reinforcements arrived.

Now that Lin Da had changed into a set of Star Rank Equipment, Lulu’s heart was somewhat steadier.

“I will definitely come back safely, don’t worry.”

Lin Da reassured everyone with a smile.

“Eh, are you the Eye of True Knowledge? You’re even more handsome than the pictures in the newspapers.”

Just then, three young girls wearing velvet long dresses adorned with many gemstone accessories, giggling, stopped Lin Da.

They all had blonde hair, slightly curled, with pupils of an orthodox emerald green.

The three girls were not of a high level, yet they looked Lin Da up and down with an attitude akin to scrutinizing merchandise, giggling all the while.

Lin Da and his party all frowned.

If they were common adventurers, treating a Star Rank adventurer with such an attitude would be greatly disrespectful.

Lin Da could have scared them to the point of wetting themselves with his [Momentum], and they would have deserved it.

But Lin Da didn’t do so, instead he spoke indifferently, “Good evening, young ladies.”

From the color of their eyes, their style of dress, and the family crest on their chests…one could deduce their identity.@@novelbin@@

Nobility.

Lin Da had encountered many powerful adventurers and officials, but very few nobles.

Nobles were a group of adventurers from the beginnings of the World Tree.

They were the first to grasp power and build up huge families.

Nobles comprised less than one ten-thousandth of the total population, yet controlled nearly half of the continent’s wealth—a veritable upper crust of society.

“Adventurers below Moon Rank are but working ants in the eyes of the Great Nobility.” This proverb sounded absolute, but it did reflect the arrogance of the nobility to some extent.

Lords and Barons are small nobility and don’t really count as true nobility; at least a Viscount is required.

If Lin Da’s guess was correct, these three blonde, emerald-eyed young ladies were daughters of Viscounts.

“You’re free this evening, right? Take us around White Dove City for some fun?”

The speaking girl had golden wavy hair, an innocent and cute face, and a prominent chest.

Her name was Milis, and pointing at Lin Da excitedly, she said to her companions, “I saw him in the Adventurer’s Weekly. Lin Da, able to subdue Epic Demon Creatures, and quite good!”

The three girls chattered noisily about Lin Da’s… looks.

As adventurers, being primarily judged by appearance was undoubtedly a form of veiled disrespect.

Seeing that the other party did not seem fully grown-up, Lin Da did not take it to heart.

“I’m sorry, young ladies, but I have important matters to attend to and cannot accompany you.”

Lin Da said.

Milis and her two companions were a little unhappy, and the plump girl on the left with freckles on her face said:

“Why didn’t you bow when you saw us?”

“I am an honored adventurer and need not bow to the nobility below a Marquis.”

“Then you could bow in your personal capacity, right? Aside from being an honored adventurer, you’re also Lin Da, aren’t you? If you were a gentleman, you would naturally bow to ladies.”

Lin Da’s forehead throbbed at this unreasonable talk.

With his teammates captured by the Heretics, where would he find the mood to entertain these nobility young ladies? He took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to slap the arrogance out of them, and his voice grew much colder:

“I’m afraid I’m just a crude adventurer who can only subdue magical creatures, unworthy of the title of gentleman.

Now, ladies, please don’t block my way.

Otherwise, this uncouth person will have to let you taste what it’s like to be hit by a fist as big as a casserole dish.”

Lin Da, along with his teammates whose expressions also looked rather unpleasant, briskly passed by Milis and the other two.
