After leaving the team, the adventurer ladies regretted it deeply

Chapter 525: Monster Slo 395

Chapter 525: Monster Slo 395

The Battle Axe glowed with stripe after stripe of crimson, and as Slo swung the axe, a strong wind pressure was generated. Isa’s long hair flew backward, and the wind was so powerful that she could barely open her eyes.

Before the attack even reached her, her body was already covered in goosebumps.

Facing this strike head-on would definitely have dire consequences!

Isa’s heart pounded violently as she quickly swung her slender sword, drawing an arc in front of her.

The Ice Fighting Spirit produced dense white frost, which condensed into ice.

In a blink of an eye, an Ice Shield formed in front of Isa.

...

“Shatter for me!”

Slo exerted three times more strength in his hands. The Battle Axe blazed with raging flames, transforming into the phantom of a fierce tiger, and chopped heavily against the Ice Shield.

Boom!

In an instant, the Ice Shield shattered into fluttering ice crystals.

The massive sound brought a moment of silence to the entire battlefield.

Everyone saw a slender silver figure, like a torn piece of fabric, flying away.

Isa fell to the ground, feeling as if her bones were shattered.

The rampant Fire Fighting Qi wreaked havoc inside her body, and a metallic taste spread from her throat.

She instinctively touched the corner of her mouth, her fingertip stained with crimson blood.

Defense was Isa’s weakest link. Even though she used the Ice Shield in the nick of time to mitigate some of Slo’s Battle Qi, she was still seriously injured.

Discipline from her father, a Knight, compelled Isa to grit her teeth and stand up. She took a deep breath, her gaze gradually calmed, and her slender sword took the stance to thrust.

A cruel smile surfaced on Slo’s face, like a hunter toying with a rabbit. He held his Battle Axe and strode forward.

“Captain, be careful!”

Two warriors from Ice Flower dashed forward to assist rapidly. Slo, however, disdainfully curled his lip, swiping his Battle Axe left and right like a giant fan against the two Ice Flower members.

Their levels averaged only 32, and facing Slo, at level 36 and an Eight-Star Adventurer, the gap was simply too vast. They were struck by the Battle Axe and sent flying on the spot, dropping their long swords to the ground.

“Too weak. You call yourselves an Iron Level adventure team? More like a Mud Adventure Team.”

Slo snorted and was about to launch another attack,

when suddenly, a whooshing sound.

A figure, like a shooting star, shot forth!

“Flame Waltz!”

It was Snow Goose’s leader, Lia—an adventurer rated Eight Stars just like Slo!

Lia abandoned her original opponent to aid Isa without hesitation.

Though Lia verbally spared no courtesy to Isa, she had long regarded her as a friend in her heart. Seeing Isa injured ignited a fierce rage within her, and she swung her Great Sword towards Slo’s head in a sweeping cut!

“Now that’s more like it. What was with those other two waste of space.”

Slo nodded in satisfaction, spreading his arms wide open like a giant black bear standing on its hind legs. He then stepped forward, causing the ground to buzz and tremble. Slo’s Battle Axe smashed down hard in front of him, forgoing defense in preparation for a trade of blows.

Lia’s skin tingled painfully from the overbearing presence. A strong sense of crisis rose in her heart, and her expression darkened as she forcefully turned her Great Sword upward, clashing it against Slo’s Battle Axe.

Bang!

Both wielded Fire Series Battle Qi. When their blades collided, a hot airstream erupted between them.

The impact wave, visible to the naked eye, swept outwards.

A Star Rank from White Dove City was locked in combat with an opponent, both at level 31, exchanging blows. Suddenly, the impact wave hit them, and both grunted as if struck by an invisible heavy fist, staggering back more than a dozen steps.

Their faces were deathly pale, their breathing erratic, and they lost their fighting capacity for a time.

This was merely being hit by the aftermath of the battle; if they had been at the center of the fighting… Both of them felt their throats go dry and couldn’t help but swallow. They thought simultaneously, does their city really have such formidable people?

After landing, Lia rolled to dissipate the force, slightly bent her knees, clenched the Phoenix Feather Sword tightly, and stared at Slo as if facing a formidable enemy.

This man was much stronger than any adventurer she had faced from Red Heart City!

In Red Heart City, apart from the Bloody Baron Augutuo and the members of the Red Heart Adventure Group, this Slo was undoubtedly the strongest.

“Not bad strength, but still a bit lacking compared to this big boss,” commented Slo casually with a click of his tongue.

Having said that, his figure moved and he charged again.

Lia even had the illusion that she was facing a ferocious beast. Slo’s large body covered her entire field of vision, and the mighty Battle Axe brought an intense sense of oppression. In front of Slo, she felt like a newborn.

The Battle Axe came slashing down vertically, its head nearly as big as her!

Lia’s eyelids twitched uncontrollably, and she instinctively chose to defend.

The Great Sword positioned in front of her, a dull clang resonated, and Lia was blown away like a little white rabbit struck by a Giant Dragon, retreating straight back ten meters.

Lia clenched her teeth tightly, her fingers gripping the hilt of the Great Sword one by one.

In her eyes, the orange-red Flames suddenly lit up.

She was one step behind Slo in both defense and offense, her only chance was to rely on “Energy Charging” combined with the ultimate burst of “Flaming Slash” to decide the outcome in one fell swoop!

At this moment, the viewing building was steeped in silence.

The crowd incredulously watched Slo, like a giant, seriously injure Isa with one hit, and force Lia back with two… Both women were not ordinary Star Ranks, having achieved Seven Stars and Eight Stars respectively in the potential ratings of Adventurer’s Weekly.

Yet, when compared to Slo, there was still such a huge gap.

“Damn it, if it weren’t for Slo’s sneak attack, Isa definitely wouldn’t have been hit! Lia too, was worn down by the adventurers from Red Heart City! It’s not fair!”

“At this rate, I’m afraid…”

“Why is Slo so strong, is he really only at the level of an Eight-Star Adventurer?”

In the hall, some people felt injustice for Lia and the others, while others questioned Slo’s true strength.

Slo’s demonstrated combat ability was clearly stronger than that of Lia, who also had an Eight-Star Rating.

“Humph, a bunch of fools. The rating in Adventurer’s Weekly measures overall strength,” coldly said Wez, the only Nine Star Adventurer present. “That Lia is not inferior to Slo, but her strength lies in team combat. In monster subjugation, she can safely hide behind the Heavy Armored Warrior and accumulate power.

But Slo’s strength is his individual prowess.

With one move, he shattered the Ice Shield and severely wounded that silver-haired Swordsman.

He had the confidence to trade blows with Lia and gain the upper hand.

It all shows that he has great confidence in his defensive ability.

Slo’s Eight-Star Rating comes entirely from his individual battle power, and even among Nine Stars, he would not be considered weak.”

Hearing these words, the faces of the crowd changed one by one. Although White Dove City had a Nine-Star Level adventurer, Lin Da was good at support and command, with his high healing and shielding capabilities, he could shine in monster subjugation, but in head-on combat power, he wasn’t as strong as Slo.

Currently, Red Heart City still had over twenty Star Ranked individuals, while White Dove City was down to just over ten. Whether in terms of numbers or top combat strength, there was a huge gap.

“Damn it, if I wasn’t injured…” Abner clenched his fists in self-reproach.

If he hadn’t been injured in the battle on the 19th floor, that Slo could have been left to him to handle. Slo was strong in both attack and defense, but Abner was confident he could dodge all of Slo’s attacks.

If the White Dove Adventure Group had joined the fight, the situation would have been at least fifty-fifty, or even slightly in their favor.

But then, the Scarlet Adventure Group would have joined too… Abner rubbed his temples with a headache, realizing that White Dove City was still too naive.
