Chapter 151: Chapter 151 Uncle Came to Find You
Soon, Yu Cheng heard his grandfather’s voice, “You finally decided to call home?”
Although the old man’s sternness was as unwavering as ever, Yu Cheng knew that his grandfather always cared for him and he bowed his head voluntarily and asked, “Grandfather, how is your health?”
The old man replied robustly, “I’m very well, don’t worry, I haven’t let your running away from home upset me.”
Yu Cheng felt relieved and after a silence of two seconds, he suddenly admitted his fault, “Grandfather, running away from home was my mistake, I apologize to you.”
Upon hearing this, the old man, without hesitation, asked, “What happened? Have you run into some trouble?”
The old man knew his grandson the best. He wouldn’t think leaving home was a mistake, and admitting to it out of the ordinary meant he surely needed something.
Yu Cheng’s grip on the phone tightened and he steadies his voice, “I found uncle, his leg is injured, and I would like to ask you to have him transferred back to Capital Military Hospital for treatment. Once I’m back, whatever punishment or penalty you impose, I’ll accept it. Is that acceptable?”
It took a while before the other side coolly replied, “It can be done.”
Then, the authoritative tone softened with concern, “How about you? Are you alright there?”
“I’m fine, don’t worry about me, Grandfather…”
Yu Cheng simply recounted everything that had happened during this time to his grandfather.
Even though his father had always ignored him and his stepmother and half-brother were always giving him trouble, his grandfather had always been good to him. Having been away from home for so long, he found himself worrying about his grandfather as well.
The two chatted for a good while longer before ending the call.
By making this call home, his stepmother and biological father naturally learned of his whereabouts, and his stepmother immediately made a call to a distant relative on her side of the family.

In the afternoon, as there was not much to do in the fields during the deep winter, the Jiang family members were all resting in their own houses.
Zhang Guihua had just woken up when she heard someone outside calling loudly for her, “Guihua, come out quick, you have guests!”
“Coming, coming,” Zhang Guihua mumbled as she walked outside, wondering which relatives might be visiting.
But upon stepping out, she was stunned, “Why are there so many people?”
The man at the forefront looked to be in his thirties, with slicked-back hair, dressed in a suit and leather shoes, radiating an aura of leadership.
He was pushing a bicycle with high-end gift boxes of various sizes hanging from the handlebar.
Behind him followed a dozen or so villagers. The sight left her somewhat baffled, “Comrade, who are you looking for?”
“I’m looking for Yu Cheng,” the man scanned her with a glance, his attitude quite haughty.
Hearing that he was looking for Yu Cheng and seeing the many items he held, Zhang Guihua’s eyes lit up.
Could it be this was Yu Cheng’s uncle, coming to thank her family for saving Yu Cheng’s life?
With this thought, Zhang Guihua suddenly became enthusiastic, “Oh, you must be Yu Cheng’s uncle, right?”
“That’s right,” he replied.
However, the man was rather aloof, and asked with a condescending tone, “Is Yu Cheng here?”
In reality, he was just a distant cousin of Yu Cheng’s stepmother, but he could pass as an “uncle” to Yu Cheng, even though he didn’t particularly like this nephew who vied for inheritance with his cousin’s son.
His visit today was on direct orders from his cousin, to “properly” thank Yu Cheng’s life-saver.
“Yes, he’s here, I’ll call him out for you,” she said, nodding like pounding garlic, and turning her head towards the house she shouted, “Yu Cheng, your uncle is here looking for you.”
Inside the house, Jiang Mianmian turned instinctively towards Yu Cheng when she heard this; wasn’t his uncle supposed to have a lame leg?
What do you think?
