After Ten Millennia in Hell

Epilogue Chapter 8 - Wedding Anniversary (6)

Epilogue Chapter 8 - Wedding Anniversary (6)

Sunlight entered between the curtains. Oh Kang-Woo woke up from his slumber on the king-size bed.

‘I think it’s been about three hours.’

The day was far calmer than his wedding anniversary with Han Seol-Ah where they had been at it without rest.

‘No, I wouldn’t use calm to describe it.’

The bed sheets were a mess and balls of tissues surrounded them. Kang-Woo smirked as he noticed the cat ears and tail that allowed their night to be as hot as it had been. Although it was calmer than his wedding anniversary with Seol-Ah, that was only when comparing it to Seol-Ah. His night with Cha Yeon-Joo was as wild as one could imagine.

“Mmm... Kang-Woo... No more...”

Yeon-Joo, still in the land of dreams, hugged Kang-Woo as she talked in her sleep. He couldn’t be happier as her soft, warm skin met his. He gently stroked her head and recalled his memories of last night.

‘She was adorable.’

Yeon-Joo had been reluctant to act like a cat girl in the beginning out of embarrassment but as she grew even more bold as the night grew hotter.

- Do me harder... nya.

Those who knew the usual Yeon-Joo could never imagine such a side to her. Kang-Woo smiled at the thought of being the only man who could see this side of his wife.

‘Should we go with a dog girl next time? Nah, Yeon-Joo doesn’t suit the image of a dog.’

Kang-Woo spent the time thinking happy thoughts as he stroked the head of Yeon-Joo using his chest as a pillow.

Yawn~ what time is it?” asked Yeon-Joo as she slowly opened her eyes.

“Good morning. It’s only 8 AM.”

“Mmm... What time are you meeting up with Lilith unnie?”

“11 AM, like with you.”

“Then I guess we still have some time.”

Yeon-Joo was about to get up but lay back down on the bed. She wrapped her arms and legs as slender as those of a supermodel around Kang-Woo to feel more of his warmth. She then looked around the motel room which had become a mess.

“Umm... Y-You’d better keep what happened last night... a secret from Seol-Ah and Lilith unnie, got it?”

The things she had said from the heat of the moment were boiling back up into her head. Yeon-Joo threateningly pinched Kang-Woo’s flank.

“Of course, I won’t tell them anything.”

“You say that, but you always do!”

“Ouch!” A sharp pain shot from Kang-Woo’s flank. “For real this time!”

“Huuu. Fine, I’ll trust you one last time.”

“I swear on my mother’s life.”

“You don’t have a mother.”

Gasp. Y-Yeon-Joo, you...! How could you say something so cruel...?!”

“Enough fucking around.”

Yeon-Joo smiled and teasingly pinched Kang-Woo’s cheek. They chatted for a bit longer as they lay in bed, and Kang-Woo slowly got up.

“Shall we leave?”

Yeon-Joo grumblingly shook her head. “No, let’s stay for a little longer.” She pulled Kang-Woo back down by his shoulders and puckered her lips. “Hubby, gimme a kiss.”

“...”

Kang-Woo’s breaths became heated as Yeon-Joo showed her cutesy mode which turned on whenever they were alone. Kang-Woo turned his head to check the time and kissed her as he hugged her tightly.

“Hmm. How strange. I only asked for a kiss.”

“Does it bother you?”

“Of course, not.”

Yeon-Joo smiled widely and pulled Kang-Woo in by his neck.

“Hnghhh! I feel refreshed now!”

The streets at 10 AM, a little late to call morning, were as inactive as they would be past midnight.

“You’re going to meet Lilith unnie now, right?”

“Yeah.”

“Sheesh, you scumbag. Three wedding anniversaries in a row, huh?”

“You’re bringing that up now...?”

Criticizing Kang-Woo after ten years was a little unfair but he couldn’t help but feel bad because he was practically telling his wife whom he had spent a hot night with last night that he was off to meet another woman.

“Pfft. You don’t have to get so down. I can see that you feel bad at least.”

“Shaddup.”

“You're so innocent in the weirdest of ways despite being a former Demon King.” Yeon-Joo giggled after managing to get Kang-Woo good. “Anyway, take good care of unnie.”

“I naturally will, but... why all of a sudden?”

“I mean, you know. She’s kind of... out of place, you know?”

‘Out of place? Why would Lilith feel out of place in our family?’

“She doesn’t show it when she’s with you, but... how should I describe it? She’s a little cautious... or keeps her distance.”

“But she’s the one who usually thinks of the events we can all do together... like the bunny girl play, for example.”

“Th-That’s different, you fucking pervert!” Yeon-Joo pinched Kang-Woo’s flank with a reddened expression. “Anyway! I’m a little worried about her because she sometimes seems afraid of something.”

“Afraid, huh...?”

Kang-Woo had no proof but could more or less tell what it was.

“Leave it to me.”

He had recently come to a great decision after much thought over a long time.

“What are you gonna do?” Yeon-Joo asked.

“That’s a secret.”

“What? Why?! Tell me, you cheapskate!”

“Hmm. Then why don’t I spill the beans along with our little secret from last night?”

Gasp...!” Yeon-Joo furiously shook her head. “Y-Y-Y-Y–You! I’m gonna kill you for real if you talk about that!!”

“I wonder what I’ll do~?”

“Y-You motherfucker!”

Yeon-Joo gritted her teeth and swung her fists but Kang-Woo easily dodged them as he cackled and grabbed her wrists.

He remarked, “I won’t tell a soul about it, so let me keep my secret with Lilith too.”

“Ngh. Alright, fine.” Yeon-Joo sighed and nodded. “I don’t know what you’re planning on doing to unnie, but I’ll beat the shit out of you if you make her cry.”

“Oh? Looks like you’ve gotten rather close to Lilith.”

Seol-Ah and Lilith had been close since long ago but Yeon-Joo and Lilith seemed to have been having difficulty getting close as if there was an invisible wall between them.

“We’ve been living together for a decade, man. That’s ten years. Even enemies would become close after that long of a time together. Although she’s the kind of person I have a hard time getting along with, how can I not after the amount of time we spend together?”

“That’s true.”

Yeon-Joo gave birth a year before his other two wives but the three of them went through childbirth and raising the children together; there was no way they wouldn’t become close.

“And don’t make unnie do... you know, that weird c-cat girl roleplay or anything like that, you hear?”

“Lilith would be thrilled to do something like that.”

“That’s... mmm.” Yeon-Joo sighed deeply as she thought about the different events Lilith had thought up, and shook her head. “Anyway, have as wonderful of a time with her as you did with me— no, a little less wonderful time.”

“No promises.”

“What’d you say, bitch?”

“Pfft. Alright, fine.” Kang-Woo nodded at Yeon-Joo’s jealousy. “Are you heading home?”

“Nope.”

“Then where? Don’t tell me... the PC room again?”

“What the hell do you think of me? I’m going to work, obviously! Do you have any idea how busy being a guildmaster is?” Yeon-Joo shouted as she stuffed the gaming laptop Kang-Woo gave her as a gift, into her backpack.

“Why do you need that when you’re going to work?”

Yeon-Joo flinched and looked away. “Huh? I-I’m not taking it with me to use it! I’m just... you know, bringing it because it’s my dear husband’s gift for me!”

“Oh, is that so?”

“Yeah! Obviously!”

“Then I can let Hyun-Woo know you’re coming in today, right?”

Gasp. Th-That’s...” Yeon-Joo slurred, pale-faced.

Kang-Woo smiled and put his arm around Yeon-Joo’s shoulders.

“What’s wrong? It’s not like you’re gonna be stuck in some random PC room playing games after lying that you’re going to work, right? I can tell him, right?”

“Y-You sure can. Y-Yeah. It’s... okay.”

“Haha. That’s my wife. Brimming with responsibility.”

Based on how Yeon-Joo was reluctantly answering with her head down, Kang-Woo was sure she had been planning on gaming all day on her new gaming laptop in some random PC room.

‘Kang-Hyun will scold her if she does that.’

Kang-Woo did not want to see his wife being scolded by her nine-year-old son.

“Hubby...”

“Hm?”

“Why do people have to go to work?”

“I don’t think your guild members would see you in a good light if they see you saying that as you clock in past 10:30 in the morning.”

“Come on, I’m the guildmaster! In company terms, I’m the CEO! It’s fine if I’m a little late.”

“...”

‘Maybe I should’ve just let her be scolded...’

“Well, anyway. You’d better go to work if you don’t want Kang-Hyun to scold you again.”

“Urgh, fine.”

“It’s time for me to go now, so I’m off,” said Kang-Woo as he waved and turned around.

“Oh, right. Come to think of it, where are you meeting Lilith unnie?”

“We decided to meet...”

The final wedding anniversary was to be held at a place he was most familiar with.

“In Hell.”

It had been a while since the Demon King had returned to the Nine Hells.
