“Sigh, I said I didn’t want to perform, but they still pushed me into it. It’s tough being me,” Li Xuan grumbled, shaking his head like a defeated fish, clearly lacking any motivation.
Qin Luo smiled and said, “Come on, just go with it. Didn’t you love music back in middle and high school? Now you have the chance to perform on stage, but you’re getting cold feet?”
Li Xuan shrugged. “I did enjoy it back then, but now… I guess it’s just a hobby. It’s fun to play around with, but there’s no way I could make a living out of it. That’s why I don’t feel as passionate anymore.”
Han Yiqun patted him on the shoulder. “Your singing is pretty good. You’ll do fine. Just practice a few times before the performance, and you’ll be all set.”@@novelbin@@
Wang Chen joined in, teasing, “Aren’t you always worried about getting too nervous? How about you perform in front of us first? We’ll be your audience.”
Li Xuan thought about it and said, “Alright, sure.”
He grabbed a black guitar and, while tuning it, reminisced, “This guitar was a gift from my parents when I got accepted into college. They said it was their way of supporting my love for music.”
