Chapter 54
For the rest of the morning, Shi Yulu felt unusually distracted because of Qin Luo's song. The piano, which she usually enjoyed playing, felt dull and unappealing. Her playing was rough and uncoordinated, causing the vice president to sigh frequently before finally giving her the afternoon off, suggesting she return tomorrow.
After apologizing, Shi Yulu left the music club, still unsure why she was so affected by the song. Lost in thought, she wandered aimlessly until she found herself outside.
At some point, the clear sky had turned gray. It was as if a thin layer of ash had settled over the sky, with the white clouds tinted in soft shades of ink.
A flash of lightning streaked across the sky, followed by a loud rumble of thunder.
“Ah…”
Shi Yulu shivered and then felt a cold drop on the tip of her nose. She wiped her face and realized it had started to rain.
The thunder seemed to signal the downpour's start, as rain began to fall heavily, driving students to scatter in every direction.
Shi Yulu abandoned her plan to return to the dorms, as the rain was falling too quickly and heavily. She looked around for shelter and noticed the library nearby, so she quickly ran inside.@@novelbin@@
