After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain

Chapter 105: Ritual Preparation

Old Wei had been at home preparing materials when that group suddenly burst in, flustered and frantic, blurting out the first thing:

“That ghost is going to kill Ji Xun!!”

Upon hearing that, Old Wei’s movements froze. His gaze turned sharp as he snapped, “What??”

He quickly grabbed his things, and by the time he arrived at the house, just as expected, the door was tightly shut, with thick black mist seeping out from the cracks.

Beside him, Guangran looked anxious, panting as she explained, her voice openly panicked: “The ghost woman suddenly showed up. We managed to run out, but Ji Xun’s still inside.”

Her face had always looked sickly, and now, after the intense run, sweat beaded on her forehead, and her complexion was ghostly pale—at first glance, she genuinely looked like she’d been scared senseless.

Wei Caifan barely gave her a glance before looking away. He gritted his teeth, eyes filled with venom as he stared at the door.

That d*mn ghost. Think she’s all that just because she got Bo Jingmo? And now she dares to steal his offering?!

He pulled out a straw doll from his bag and jabbed it with a needle. The next second, the black mist in the room instantly receded by half.

The eyes of Guangran and the others behind him flickered. Could that thing in Old Wei’s hand be…?

Meanwhile, inside the room, Yu Li’s movements paused. A wave of pain spread from her chest, but her expression remained unchanged as she withdrew her hand, voice cold: “He’s here.”

Perhaps sensing the change in Yu Li, Bo Jingmo raised his eyes and looked toward the door, a flash of red gleaming with a hint of killing intent.

Seeing the mist clear, Old Wei immediately tried to open the door.

As soon as it opened, they saw Bo Jingmo standing by the bed.

The tall man was cloaked in thick black mist. His eyes glowed red like blood, filled with murderous madness. His slender, pale hand was wrapped around Ji Xun’s neck.

Ji Xun’s eyes were shut, his head slumped to the side, blood running from his ears down his neck. His body showed no signs of movement—he looked completely lifeless.

The moment they entered, Bo Jingmo glanced over. The corners of his lips lifted slightly, eyes brimming with bloodlust.

The black mist on his body suddenly condensed, ruthlessly piercing into Ji Xun’s heart, then yanked back out. A gaping, bloody hole was left behind.

He tossed the body to the ground and kicked Ji Xun’s corpse toward them.

Behind him, Guangran’s fingertips trembled slightly. She turned her head away, unable to look.

It was too disturbing. Seeing a former teammate so brutally killed left her feeling a sick mix of discomfort and fear.

Qi Mai froze momentarily at the sight too. He lowered his gaze, clenching his fists.

So this… is what Bo Jingmo does after losing awareness...

Among them, Old Wei had the darkest expression. Watching his offering get snatched away in front of his eyes almost made him explode.

And right at that moment, Yu Li stepped out from behind Bo Jingmo, gently using her sleeve to wipe the blood from his hand.

The man lowered his head, letting her do as she pleased, the killing aura gone. He leaned down and nuzzled her cheek, lids drooping, looking utterly docile—completely bewitched.

Yu Li stroked his face, tilted her head up and kissed him: “Good job.”

She gave Old Wei a sidelong glance, laughing lightly with mockery: “Wei Caifan, too bad—you’re late.”

Old Wei’s face turned black as coal. He crushed the straw doll in his hand, bits falling to the floor. His eyes burned with fury: “Yu Banxue, you’re completely beyond saving!!! I swear I’ll make sure your soul is annihilated!!”

The woman raised an eyebrow, gaze sweeping over the others behind him. She chuckled lowly, her laughter echoing in the room: “Oh really? I’ll be waiting.”

Just a second before Old Wei struck, Yu Li and Bo Jingmo vanished from the room entirely, leaving behind only Ji Xun’s corpse on the cold floor.

Guangran asked anxiously, “What do we do now?”

“What else?” Old Wei turned his head with a grim tone, his gaze sweeping coldly over the three of them. “Ji Xun is dead. We’ll have to pick another offering.”

Qi Mai stepped forward voluntarily: “I’ll do it.”

He looked at Ji Xun on the floor, eyes somber: “Either way, we’re dead. Better me than everyone else.”

“Qi-ge…” Guangran reached out and grabbed his arm, her worry not at all an act.

She didn’t trust the ghost woman completely. What if something went wrong...

That ghost had killed Ji Xun without hesitation—it showed how cold she truly was. If something else went sideways, they could easily be abandoned.

Qi Mai patted the back of her hand: “It’s fine.”

Old Wei gave Qi Mai a few extra looks. This one’s soul body should be quite strong. Maybe not as powerful as Bo Jingmo, but with proper refining, he could still be useful.

“Fine then.” He didn’t have time to argue. Waving them along, he said urgently, “There’s no time to waste. Come with me. The ritual starts tonight.”

That ghost already had Bo Jingmo—she was trouble enough. And now, Ji Xun too? She’d be even harder to deal with.

Their plan was in motion. The three exchanged looks, their eyes filled with emotions only they understood.

For now, they could only follow the ghost’s plan.

It wasn’t until now that Wei Caifan realized just how bad things had gotten.

He usually had the villagers help him prepare the ritual space. Just as he was about to tell Chen Daxie to go get people, he opened the bedroom door—only to find Chen Chang and Chen Daxie already dead.

Their bodies were ice-cold. They’d been dead for a while.

Wei Caifan’s eyes narrowed. A bad feeling surged in his chest, and he rushed to check the other villagers’ quarters.

But when he opened the door—

The floor was soaked in blood and littered with corpses. His feet froze instantly.

The stench of blood hit everyone’s noses. Corpses were strewn everywhere like the aftermath of a massacre. Each villager had the same expression—faces pale, eyes wide in terror, pupils constricted.

That ghost had already killed all the villagers… without anyone noticing.

How the hell did she do it??!

At this point, panic began to rise uncontrollably in Wei Caifan’s heart. His hand trembled as it clutched the doorframe.

Since when was Yu Banxue this strong? Or… had she been hiding it all along??

His breathing quickened. He turned to Guangran and Yi Xian: “You two, help me prepare!”

The two girls froze, then quickly lowered their heads: “Okay.”

Midnight was approaching, but none of them dared show a hint of fatigue.

Wei Caifan, now over seventy, obviously wasn’t as quick as the young ones. He had Qi Mai move a table into the courtyard, then had Yi Xian and Guangran fetch the bowls and incense. He carefully placed the divine statue from the altar onto the table.

He placed the straw doll and a bundle of cut black hair into a porcelain bowl, wrapped a string of bells around it, then took a red thread and tied up Qi Mai’s body.

Using red-colored liquid, he began drawing strange runes across Qi Mai’s skin.

He set the porcelain bowl on the table. Guangran glanced at the contents inside and asked casually, “Are these both related to the ghost?”

Old Wei, focused on the runes, answered offhandedly: “Yes. Once the ritual is complete, with my Immortal’s blessing, that ghost is as good as dead. Don’t touch anyth—”

He looked up mid-sentence—

Only to see Guangran already holding the bowl and lifting out its contents.

She even blinked innocently at him.

Old Wei: “........”
