After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain

Chapter 118: Are You Going to Keep Me?

In the past, Bo Jingmo had indeed considered joining a team.

Just like Yu Li said, there were more resources and players in a team. It allowed faster access to information about the instance world, which was nothing but beneficial for Bo Jingmo.

But… his girlfriend was an NPC.

Once he joined a team, it would mean he had to consider the presence of teammates in the instance. Sometimes, he’d even have to ensure their safety for various reasons.

Bo Jingmo knew Yu Li was helping him, and she had said herself that she couldn’t break character. Yet she still risked exposure to help him again and again.

If she had to suffer just because of these “teammates”…

Bo Jingmo would be the first to take care of them himself.

So, to avoid unnecessary trouble, he had scrapped that idea early on.

And besides, he wasn’t alone now—Yu Li was his teammate.

“I don’t want to join their teams.” Bo Jingmo said his thoughts out loud, “Just being in a team with you is enough.”

Hearing that, the woman’s brows and eyes curved, and she closed her eyes, leaning against the man’s chest with a faint smile in her voice: “Then we won’t join. Just the two of us is plenty.”

She respected everything her little boyfriend thought. After all, even high-level players were bound by absolute rules in the instance.

And as an NPC, she was the rule itself.

——

The next morning, Yu Li opened her eyes. She was momentarily confused when she saw the unfamiliar room, then remembered this was Bo Jingmo’s place.

The spot next to her was already empty. The bedsheet was cold—looked like Bo Jingmo had been up for a while.

They had gone pretty late last night, and now she finally felt a bit sore all over.

Ah, to be young… boys in their prime really had endless energy.

Yu Li rubbed her waist and sighed internally.

Of course, that wasn’t to say she disliked the previous version of Bo Jingmo—it’s just that different ages came with different perks.

She lifted the blanket and got out of bed. Though her body was a little weak, Bo Jingmo must’ve given her a massage later in the night, because she didn’t feel too uncomfortable.

She went to the bathroom to freshen up. Just as she opened the door, she heard voices downstairs.

She recognized Bo Jingmo’s voice, but… was that a child’s voice too?

Yu Li froze mid-step, thinking maybe she misheard.

She walked lightly to the railing on the second floor, leaned over the banister and looked down—only to realize she hadn’t misheard at all. There was a child in the house.

The little boy looked about eight or nine years old. His cheeks were soft and fair, eyes black and clear, and his hair was soft too. Though he hadn’t fully grown into his features, he already looked like a handsome little prince from a distance.

Only, this little prince was currently rather indignant: “Uncle, you were the one who said I could move in today. How can you just send me back now?”

The man at the door was dressed in loungewear, exuding a lazy aura, yet his tone was completely cold. He crossed his arms and expressionlessly said, “I’ve changed my mind. Tell your mom to come pick you up.”

“She can’t! Mom and Dad already went on vacation!” Mu Hehe retorted righteously, “Uncle, you said I could stay at your place. If you kick me out now, I’ll end up on the streets! And didn’t you say you got me a tutor? I’m already ready for class!”

When his mom got the call, she had been totally shocked—especially when she heard that her brother had arranged a tutor for him. Her jaw practically dropped.

After all, this uncle never contacted them on his own. Whether it was holidays or family gatherings, he never returned to Grandpa’s house. He’d been living alone for a long time.

According to his mom, it was because Uncle didn’t like Grandpa, which is why he hardly ever came back.

Mu Hehe totally understood his uncle! Because he didn’t like Grandpa either—Grandpa always gave him a weird, uncomfortable feeling.

Even though Uncle was cold and distant, he used to buy him gifts and help out around the house. It’s just that lately he stopped coming, and his relationship with Mom had gotten more distant.

Mom wanted to use this opportunity to mend things, and had even told him to behave and help Uncle feel some warmth.

Mu Hehe was a very sensible kid. He knew this was a rare chance, so he was fully prepared! Determined to let Uncle feel the warmth of family.

But now things were going south. Forget warming his uncle’s heart—he couldn’t even get into the house!

Uncle, an adult, was actually trying to go back on his word!!

Mu Hehe raged with indignation: “Uncle, our teacher said that when you promise something, you have to follow through! People can’t go back on their word, or they’ll lose others’ trust!!”

Bo Jingmo was currently arranging the perfume he bought yesterday. He looked up at his one and only nephew, his tone still indifferent: “I don’t need your trust. I’ll have someone send your luggage back later, and you can go too. If no one’s home, get the housekeeper.”

Now that he was with Yu Li, he didn’t need to use this kid as a cover anymore.

He had forgotten to call them last night, and this brat showed up knocking at his door first thing this morning.

If he woke Lili up, it’d be hard to kick him out.

Just as he was thinking that, the next second, he heard his nephew’s surprised and excited voice: “Uncle! Who’s that pretty lady?!”

Bo Jingmo: “........”

He turned his head and saw Mu Hehe looking up at the second floor—right where Yu Li was leaning over the railing.

The woman leaned casually against the banister, wearing the same style of pajamas as Bo Jingmo. Her aura was lazy with a hint of sensuality. That beautiful face wore a laid-back smile, sunlight spilling in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, casting golden light over her slightly curled, waterfall-like hair—like a scene from a painting.

Big eyes stared at little eyes. Mu Hehe’s eyes sparkled with excitement and awe.

So this was the beauty his uncle was hiding at home!! No wonder he wanted him gone!

He was just about to greet the pretty lady when she suddenly smiled at him, eyes curving as she spoke gently: “Hello there. Maybe… I’m the tutor you were talking about.”

Mu Hehe’s eyes widened, thrilled: “Really?!”

Bo Jingmo’s face darkened even more.

Should’ve just thrown him out earlier.

Yu Li had always known there weren’t any kids in Bo Jingmo’s house, but she hadn’t expected this man to “borrow” his nephew on the fly.

When she came out dressed, the kid was already sitting at the table eating breakfast, waving at her cheerfully: “Good morning, Teacher.”

Yu Li smiled at him and replied, “Morning.”

She walked into the kitchen, and the moment she entered, the man pressed her into a corner and kissed her cheek. His low voice sounded next to her ear: “No need for class. I’ll have someone send him home soon.”

Yu Li looked at him with a smile, her voice dropping: “Senior, if you do that, I’ll lose my job.”

Her fingertips brushed the man’s shoulder, tone teasing: “Or are you planning to keep me?”

Bo Jingmo glanced out at the little brat who was eating happily, his brow twitching. Then he lowered his head and gently kissed the woman: “Yes, I’m keeping you.”

Either way, that kid had to go.

Yu Li laughed softly and slipped out of Bo Jingmo’s arms: “Alright, don’t scare him. The little one seems pretty well-behaved.”

Besides, she wanted to see if she could get some info about Bo Jingmo’s family out of him.
