As the weather had been quite good recently and Qiao Mei had some free time, she hired some people to rebuild the rooms on the left side of the house. She had two additional floors constructed and also had a big covered balcony built out of glass. All her precious plants were kept in the glass room.
Qiao Mei did not allow anyone to enter the room. Each plant that was kept here was worth a lot of money and was priceless. Even Xia Zhe had to discuss it with Qiao Mei before he could enter the glass room.
It was not because she was worried that Xia Zhe would damage those expensive plants, but because most of the plants were poisonous and had even developed some form of intelligence. Some of the older plants even saw her as their owner and she was scared that these plants would cause harm to Xia Zhe. @@novelbin@@
