Chapter 435 174. I Hate Atlantic City (A 10,000-Word Mega Chapter, Paying Off Debt~)_2

After finishing his words, John was ready to leave—but then he saw the unpleased-looking Harry Sinclair and asked unhappily, "Hey, what are you doing here? Don't you know the pub opens at two in the afternoon?"

Harry Sinclair, seeing the rude John, was not in a good mood and didn't bother to engage with him, instead snorting coldly and continuing to stand there.

Finch, seeing this, hurriedly said, "This gentleman is Mr. Harry Sinclair of the Sinclair Oil Corporation, and he's also here to see the boss!"

"What?"

John's eyes suddenly sparkled. He came to see Donnie today, essentially to inquire about the Sinclair Oil Corporation, because this involved stocks, commercial warfare—things Donnie thought too sophisticated for John to understand, so he hadn't informed John.

In fact, this proved Donnie's judgment correct as the short-selling battle had been going on for three days by the time John heard about it on the radio.

Thinking about how a mere Harry Sinclair dared to mess with his brother, John was planning to ask Donnie whether they should teach Harry Sinclair a lesson, only to run into Harry Sinclair at the Block Tavern.

"You're Harry Sinclair?"

John stood next to Harry Sinclair, sizing him up and down.

The unabashed scrutiny made Harry Sinclair uncomfortable, who said coldly, "What's the matter?"

John laughed heartily, "No problem, no problem at all. Just wait!"

Having said this, he left the Block Tavern with his men.

Watching John's rude departure, Harry Sinclair shook his head again, expressing his disdain.

After John had left, Finch called Nate over and informed him of Harry Sinclair's identity.

Upon learning of Harry Sinclair's identity, Nate smiled and said, "Respected Mr. Sinclair, our boss won't be here until this afternoon. If it's urgent, I can take down where you're staying, and when our boss arrives, I'll inform him that you have been here today!"

Although also rejected, the way Nate spoke left Harry Sinclair fairly satisfied. He nodded and said, "Alright, tell Donnie I'm staying in room 404 at the Ritz Hotel, and ask him to call me in the afternoon!"

"Sure thing!"

Harry Sinclair turned and left.

After walking out of Block Tavern with his men, John didn't head for Donnie's place; instead, he led the two men sneakily to the lodging apartments next to Block Tavern. When the manager of the apartments came to inquire which girl John was looking for, John rudely dismissed him.@@novelbin@@

The manager of the lodging apartments recognized John and, knowing he couldn't offend him, could only leave with a sycophantic smile.

Then John, through the doors and windows, pointed at the entrance of Block Tavern and said to his two men. Find your next read at My Virtual Library Empire

"Did you see the guy that just came out of there?"

John's two men were named Tyrone Capello and Joachim Lang.

Both were from Elwood Village, one 24 and the other 25. Tyrone Capello was tall and skinny, like a beanpole, while Joachim Lang was short and round, like a ball.

Tyrone Capello was taciturn and didn't like talking much.

Joachim Lang was vivacious and very chatty.

At John's question, Joachim Lang immediately said disdainfully, "Of course we did. He was so arrogant, like one of those girls in the lodging apartments who hadn't been paid!"

John immediately nodded, "Exactly, that bastard! The Sinclair Oil Company we just heard about on the radio—that's his, and he's the one who has been causing trouble for Donnie lately!"

"Fuck!" Joachim Lang blurted out loudly, "That son of a bitch is too arrogant, daring to mess with Donnie. He's asking for it! Just say the word, John, and I'll take care of that bastard right now!"

"Don't do anything rash!" Tyrone Capello interjected, "This man isn't simple; don't create problems for Donnie!"

John looked at Tyrone Capello in surprise, "Ah, even though I'm so clever, I only found out today that the guy is somewhat significant. How did you know?"

Tyrone Capello said, "Anyone who can cause trouble for Donnie obviously isn't simple!"

Only then did John nod in realization, "That's right!"

Joachim Lang asked, "If he's so important, what the heck are we still doing here? Weren't we supposed to find Donnie?"

John chuckled slyly, "Just because he's important, doesn't mean we can't do something. That bastard dared to provoke Donnie, and if we don't teach him a lesson, others will think we from Elwood Village are pushovers!"

Joachim Lang looked puzzled at John, while Tyrone Capello seemed worried.

"John, what are you planning to do?" Joachim Lang asked with a mix of confusion and excitement.

As one of John's protectors, he knew John very well; seeing John's current expression, he knew John must be up to something!

With a look of pride, John said, "We can't attack him openly, but we can ambush him. Joachim, go get a burlap sack from the manager here, and when the jerk comes out, we'll do it like this, this, this..."

Listening to John's plan made Tyrone Capello worried, "Won't there be a problem if we do this?"

John continued with a confident laugh, "Don't worry, once the sack goes over his head, how would he know who did it?"
