Chapter 685: Chapter 344: Alliance of the Illuminati, Freemasonry, and Ansa Group_2
“Indeed, what Bogwana said also echoes my thoughts,” Joshua followed up. “Of course, there’s something else I’d like to add. Due to the Bitcoin incident last time, the Illuminati were left in disarray by David, so we could also bring them into the fold. As long as we can get the Angsa people, the Illuminati, and ourselves to stand on the same front, then even if we do kill David, we can keep the situation under control!”
Joshua added.
At this point, not to mention the others, even Bennett, who had always raised objections, was starting to be swayed.
Firstly, the Ansa Group had the guns, while they, the Freemasonry, had the money, and as for the Illuminati, they had significant influence.
Once David was killed, even if the Internal Revenue Service was furious, it would probably be unlikely to wage war against all three of The Big Three Groups at once for the greater good.
Therefore, this seemed to be a viable plan.
Once David was dead, this so-called tax investigation by the Tax Bureau would naturally come to an end, and all the challenges they faced could be easily resolved!
The thought struck everyone, and collectively all eyes turned to Henrietta to see what the group leader would decide.
After about five seconds of silence, Henrietta nodded and spoke, “We could give it a try. Inform the Ansa Group and the Illuminati to come to the island in two days to discuss this matter in detail.”
…
Two days passed quickly.
In those two days, there was no significant activity from the Bay Area Branch, and the tech giants of Silicon Valley seemed to have received some directives as well, remaining uncharacteristically low profile, as if the situation was calm.
But everyone knew that the tech giants had not yet made a public statement, so this was merely the calm before the storm.
That noon, Senado Island welcomed two helicopters.
The cabin doors opened, and several men stepped out.
If David had been there, he would have recognized these men as old acquaintances: Reze from the Adams Family, Cyril from the Roosevelt Family, Jeff from the Bush Family, and Archbishop Augustine of the Illuminati.
“Is this Freemasonry’s Senado Island?”
The men, whose factions did not have harmonious relations with Freemasonry, were visiting this legendary island for the first time, observing it with curiosity.
“Gentlemen, Henrietta, Joshua, Prescott, and others are already waiting for you, please come with me,” said a receptionist, guiding them toward the direction of the manor.
Upon the reminder, the four men remembered that today was not a day for sightseeing but for serious discussions, and they quickly followed the reception staff towards the manor.
In the manor’s conference room, to avoid confusion from too many voices, only representatives from The Seven Great Families were present, aside from Henrietta.
A few minutes later, Reze and his party of four were led in.
Two days prior, Freemasonry had notified them that there was an extremely important matter to discuss, but they had not disclosed the details.
But now, seeing Henrietta and the representatives of The Seven Great Families that controlled the Federal Reserve, the four men realized that the matter at hand must be of great importance; otherwise, such a grand assembly would not have been called.
What could it be?
The four men couldn’t help but speculate in their minds.
“Reze, Cyril, Jeff, Archbishop Augustine, thank you for coming today,” began Henrietta.
“Mr. Henrietta, my father sends you his regards,” said one.
“Mr. Henrietta, my brother also sends you his regards,” added another.
“Mr. Henrietta, my uncle likewise sends you his regards,” said the third.
Although the Ansa Group and Freemasonry were in opposition, they still had to show courtesy when facing a leader like Henrietta.
“Thank you very much, and please send my regards to your fathers, brothers, uncles as well,” Henrietta responded.
“Definitely.”
“Alright, everyone please take a seat. I will explain in detail the reason for inviting all of you here today.”
The four of them didn’t hold back and directly sat down, adopting a listening stance.
“I believe you all are familiar with the name David, aren’t you?”
Hearing this, a flicker of interest crossed the faces of the few, after which Rege spoke, “David, the renowned Chief Inspector of the Internal Revenue Service – now, who in America doesn’t know of him?”
“What are your opinions on this man?”
Rege Cyril Jep exchanged glances, but none showed any intention of making a statement. As for Archbishop Augustine from the Illuminati, he displayed a hint of intrigue.
“Archbishop Augustine, I heard that this man brought a carrier fleet right to your doorstep, is that correct?”
“Mr. Henrietta, if you have invited me here today just to mock the Illuminati, then I think there’s no need to continue this conversation.”
They said you shouldn’t kick someone when they’re down; for the Illuminati, being confronted with a carrier fleet was indeed a humiliation, and now they were being mocked by Henrietta, their rival. Naturally, Augustine showed some anger.
“Don’t misunderstand, Archbishop Augustine, I had no intention to mock you. In fact, our Freemasonry has been dealt an even worse hand…”
Henrietta quickly explained, realizing the misunderstanding.
“Since we’re all here by invitation, there’s no need for beating around the bush. Just say what you need to.”
“Well then, I’ll get straight to the point. The Illuminati was heavily impacted by David, and so was our Freemasonry. How about we join forces this time and deal with him together?”
“Haven’t we already joined forces? Or perhaps you have some other strategy in mind?”
After the carrier fleet incident, the Illuminati had already reached out for negotiations with the Freemasons, intending to use them to eliminate David. However, the plan unfortunately did not yield much success.
“After discussing internally within our group, the best way to rid ourselves of future trouble is… to take him out directly!”
At these words, even Archbishop Augustine, who had seen countless daunting scenes as a Cardinal, was taken aback.
The three men beside him, Rege Cyril Jep, though silent, tightened their expressions, clearly unsettled by the turn of the discussion.
“You’re not joking, are you, Henrietta? This young man is a high-level official of the Internal Revenue Service, and he also holds considerable esteem throughout America. To openly take him out, even with the great influence of both your Freemasonry and my Illuminati, I’m afraid it would be too much for us to handle.”
This wasn’t Augustine dampening the spirits of others to belittle his own authority.
In truth, the last time David brought the carrier fleet to their doorstep, the Illuminati was left with an indelible impression.
If David were taken out and the Internal Revenue Service in fury sent the carrier fleet to raze their Illuminati Island, what then?
It should be noted that their Illuminati Island doesn’t fall within America’s territorial waters like the Freemasonry’s Senado Island.
So, if they truly angered the Internal Revenue Service, it would have no reservations in retaliating.
“Eradicating him might be too much for both our Illuminati and your Freemasonry, but what if we add the Ansa Group, which backs these three gentlemen?”
Henrietta shifted his gaze to Rege Cyril Jep.
The three men frowned, and then Rege was the first to speak, “Mr. Henrietta, I think you need to understand something. First off, we don’t have any significant conflicts of interest with the Internal Revenue Service or David. Second, the risk involved in this matter is not small, and we see no reason to get involved.”
Although they were quite displeased when David refused their offer to join them, truth be told, most of their group actually enjoyed watching David give the Freemasonry trouble.
Besides, as he said, the risk was indeed substantial.
After all, the Internal Revenue Service has its own private armed forces, which could arguably be considered the most elite in all of America. Unless absolutely necessary, they did not wish to recklessly take such a risk.
What do you think?
