Chapter 139 Meeting Up.

....
The dense forest was eerily silent, the usual hum of wildlife replaced by an oppressive stillness. Derrick crouched low, his hand hovering above the ground as his team formed a defensive perimeter around him. His blue eyes scanned the area, his expression stern.
A sudden ripple of energy coursed through his mind, the silvery-blue threads weaving gently but insistently into his consciousness. Derrick stilled, letting the connection settle before rising to his full height. The bond grounded him, a familiar presence that brought clarity.
"Stay alert," he said quietly, his voice calm but firm, though the bond was the only reassurance he truly needed.
...
The underground chamber was dimly lit, the faint glow of bioluminescent fungi casting an otherworldly light over the jagged walls. Timothy moved with quiet precision, examining ancient markings etched into the stone as his team organized supplies behind him.
The link pulsed through his mind suddenly, its silvery-blue threads threading into his consciousness with an ease that felt natural. Timothy straightened as the connection anchored him. His purple eyes glimmered with recognition, a small smile curving his lips.
"Interesting timing," he said to Godfred with a composed expression who also had a similar expression on his face.
"It's about time he contacted us," Godfred said with a soft grunt.
...
The forest stretched endlessly before Zara, the dense canopy casting dappled shadows across the soft, mossy ground. She stood at the edge of a clearing, her silver cloak draped loosely over her shoulders, shielding her from the cool breeze that rustled the leaves, her armor shining slightly in the moonlight. Her team moved in calculated silence behind her, their steps light and deliberate as they scanned their surroundings.
The bond pulsed to life, the silvery-blue threads weaving into her consciousness like the gentle touch of sunlight breaking through the foliage. Zara's breath slowed, her yellow eyes glimmering faintly as the connection settled. She adjusted her cloak, her expression softening with a hint of nostalgia.
"Always at the right moment," she mused silently, her gaze shifting to the path ahead as she led her team deeper into the forest's embrace.
...
The grasslands spread out like an endless emerald sea, the tall blades swaying gently under the caress of the breeze. Andrew knelt near a small stream, his calloused hands rinsing the blood and grime from a finely crafted dagger. His team worked around him, tending to their supplies and maintaining their weapons with practiced efficiency.
The pulse of the link stirred in his thoughts, silvery-blue threads threading into his consciousness with an almost tangible warmth. Andrew paused, tilting his head slightly as the connection solidified.
"Right on cue," he muttered with a faint grin, shaking off the droplets from the blade before standing. The bond brought a steady presence, grounding him as he turned to face his team. The faint glimmer in his steely blue eyes hinted at renewed determination as they prepared to move forward.
...
"How are you guys doing?" Ethan asked in his mind as he lay his head back on Harley's lap.
"Yo, bro! What's up? I thought you'd be dead by now." Trevor's voice resounded in his mind, laced with a mocking tone.
"This fucking dickhead..."
"Hello, boss." Reginald's voice came next, barely suppressing a chuckle.
"Took you long enough to contact us. It's past midnight already." Godfred grunted.
"""Baby!""" Clara, Lisa, and Andriel exclaimed, their sweet voices filling the telepathic platform with warmth and a strong dose of jealousy.
"Ethan? Are you building a harem? Cousin didn't tell me about this." Derrick said.
"*cough* Guys, please."
"Hi there honey." Emily's voice suddenly rang out, causing the platform to become silent.
"Emily too?" Zara asked.
"Hi there babe. Missed me?" Trevor's voice sounded with barely contained love and longing.
"Guys! I'm pushing myself now to establish this. Let's all be a bit serious. " Ethan's voice resounded with authority and no room for arguments.
""" Okay!"""
"Good. Sorry for not contacting you earlier. Some things happened and I teleported into the Blackstone Academy area. Thankfully, it wasn't very far from Harley's place. I'm now with my team.
I don't know where you guys are now but I'm going to try something very powerful. I want you all to find a safe place first, then you rest. By morning, I should have finished with it. You will find silvery blue colored arrows pointing towards where I am. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too far.
I will tell you the rest afterward." Ethan said to the group.
"Okay. But how..." Timothy asked in confusion.
"That doesn't matter. Just secure safe camping sites for the night. I will handle the rest." Explore stories at My Virtual Library Empire
"""""Got you!"""""
"Trevor."
"Sup?"
"You've seen it right?"
"Yeah."
"Good."
"See you guys later."
...
The lines of telepathy slowly faded away, leaving Clara smiling radiantly, it was almost too bright.
Standing up, she brushed a strand of hair from her face and turned towards her team.
"Listen up guys! Ethan just contacted me. Prepare to move out in the morning. Rest well, because there will be no stops until we meet up with the others."
"""Yes!"""
...
All around, Ethan's subordinates did as instruct. Those yet to find campsites doubled their efforts and those who already found some, made preparations for the morning.
...
'System?'
*What's up?! *
'Is there a way to exchange shop points for mana points or...'
*Nope! *
'Tch! At least wait for me to finish what I'm saying!'
*Okay. Finish up. *
'Fuck you!'
*But there's another way. *
'Please do tell.'
*This method is simple yet dangerous, if care is not taken. It is your Crimson Vampire form. *
'Aren't I already in that form?'
*...*
'Don't... what the fuck is with you and sealing?!'
*It's fun? *
'Bitch!'
*Anyway, fully unsealing your Crimson Vampire will push you to the peak of the Advanced level but mind you, this will be your very first step into being a Primogenitor. Your hunger and blood intake will increase, your regeneration will be almost instant, and your...*
'Blah blah blah. Just do it.'
*Don't say I didn't warn you. *
'One question. '
*What is it? *
'Will there be pain?'
*... hehe!(⌒‐⌒) *
'Wa...'
...
"Huh?"

...
BOOM!
Ethan's aura exploded in a shower of blue fireworks as he instantly advanced to the peak of the Advanced level. Harley and the rest of his team were shocked at this development while the one involved just stared up into the sky, blankly but his inner thoughts were anything but blank.
'What the fuck is with the fireworks!'
*See you later! *
...
Ding!
Breakthrough Successful!
Congratulations Host.
...
Ethan could feel the mana coursing through him vividly. It was almost as powerful and dangerous as the time when he used Double Sync. He clenched his fists as he savored the newfound power, his expression of bliss.
"Now let's get to it!"
Ethan nodded to Harley and Jerry as he slowly took off into the sky. He stopped about 10 meters in the sky. He assumed a meditative stance in the sky, his figure covered in a blue glow. A third eye opened on his forehead as he closed his eyes.
Instantly, a huge pressure radiated from him. All those below felt naked as they gazed up at him. The Psyche-Eye glowed faintly and beautifully in the moonlight as Ethan's mana flared.
...
The world changed for Ethan. Instead of the normal bright colors and common environments, he was seeing just energy and mana in their purest forms. Most of the time, when he used the Psyche-Eye, he didn't open it fully and just used it to enhance his senses, but this time round, he opened it fully and what he was seeing was really phenomenal and cosmic.
Bright colors wisps, each radiating a different presence surrounded him. Around them were faint shimmery, translucent glows further amplifying their presence.
'The affinities and mana...' Ethan was amazed at this. This answered a lot of things for him but also brought a lot of questions.
Focusing, he tapped into his Psychic affinity, tracing the telepathic signals of his subordinates. Very soon, he saw all twelve of them and thankfully, they were all close by.
'System. Can you calculate the distance of these signals from me? Use me as the beacon.'
*Okay…*
A series of translucent grids formed in Ethan's mind, with him as the central node. Each signal representing his subordinates was marked with a glowing dot, their colors and intensities varying based on proximity and mana fluctuation.
Calculation complete! Here's the breakdown:
1. Clara – 4.2 kilometers southwest
2. Trevor – 6.7 kilometers southeast
3. Reginald – 5.9 kilometers north
4. Godfred – 7.5 kilometers northeast
5. Lisa – 3.8 kilometers west
6. Andriel – 3.5 kilometers west
7. Derrick – 6.1 kilometers south
8. Zara– 5.2 kilometers northwest
9. Emily – 8.3 kilometers east
10. Timothy – 6.0 kilometers east
11. Harley – Directly below
12. Sixtie – 1.2 kilometers north
Ethan scanned the positions, his mind calculating the best routes to guide them toward his location.
*Everyone is within 10 kilometers. Should I provide an optimized path for the arrows?* the system asked.
"Yes. Make sure the paths converge so they meet along the way. I want everyone grouped by noon."
*Acknowledged.*
Ethan's Psyche-Eye flared briefly as the system's mapping overlay synchronized with his vision. Faint silvery-blue arrows began materializing along the paths leading toward him. They shimmered brightly, pulsing with mana that Ethan infused into them, ensuring they would last through the night.
---
Below, Harley watched in awe as Ethan remained suspended mid-air, glowing like a star. The pressure radiating from him made her heart race, but there was also a strange sense of calm.
"Is this really the same Ethan I knew?" Jerry muttered, his voice trembling.
"He's always been like this," Harley replied, her eyes never leaving Ethan. "He just hasn't shown us the full extent of it… until now."
---
In the distance, Clara's group had already started seeing the arrows. Clara smirked, her radiant smile turning into a confident grin.
"See? I told you. Rest up, we move at 5am."

Meanwhile, Ethan focused on stabilizing the mana infusion. His Psyche-Eye strained as he kept track of every signal, ensuring the arrows adjusted dynamically based on the movements of his subordinates.
Warning: Mana reserves are depleting rapidly. This process consumes significant energy.
"I'm aware. Just maintain it," Ethan muttered through gritted teeth. His Crimson Vampire form enhanced his regeneration, keeping him from collapsing outright, but the strain was immense.
---
'System, can I tap into the surrounding ambient mana to support this?'
*Yes, but you'll need to use a mana siphon technique. I can guide you through it.*
"Do it."
The Psyche-Eye shifted its focus, highlighting nearby mana sources—mainly the environment itself. Ethan reached out, drawing the energy into himself like a vortex. Streams of light flowed toward him, replenishing his reserves.
---
Below, Harley noticed the glowing tendrils of light converging on Ethan.
"What is he doing now?" she whispered.
"Whatever it is, we better be ready for what comes next," Jerry replied, his tone a mix of amazement and unease.
---
Back in the sky, Ethan finally stabilized the arrows and confirmed their paths. With a deep breath, he closed his Psyche-Eye, his mana flaring once before dimming. Slowly, he descended to the ground, landing gracefully.
"It's done," Ethan said, his voice calm but heavy with exhaustion.
"Are you okay?" Harley asked, rushing to his side.
"Just a little tired," Ethan admitted. "Let's rest for now. They'll find us by noon."
Jerry stared at him, his respect for Ethan growing. "You really don't do things halfway, do you?"
What do you think?
