Many wounds appeared on its body. Like the explosions, they weren’t lethal but made it feel that they were dangerous.

The difference was that it felt like it was in danger, and might die.

The last burst of energy before death allowed it to use a surge of energy. It jumped out from the trap and looked back at the horizon.
