Chaos. Lifeforms here fled in all directions and quickly noticed Cloud Peak’s squad.

The battle started in such a random way.

Many mutated lifeforms joined the fight around Cloud Peak.

If Yellow Ball or Yangos were here, they were mutated lifeforms so their king aura could scare the lifeforms away.

Humans were different. Mutated lifeforms and them fed on each other. Their scents were very attractive to the lifeforms here.

Under such a chaotic situation, many mutated animals and plants of different levels came to find a chance to see if they could kill a human to get a delicious feast.

These humans had high evolution levels and were of high quality.

As long as they ate one of them, they might be able to evolve immediately.

Cloud Peak was very strong. They formed up when they were attacked and easily dealt with these lifeforms. Their defense was air-tight. There might be many lifeforms but they died in front of the formation. None of them could get through.

At the start, a thick poison mist spread. Evolved could hold their breathing for some time. They also used the poison pill so they weren’t afraid. But in such an intense battle, not breathing sped up their stamina consumption.

The mutated plants attacked, too.

They attacked as a group.

All directions, from the sky and from the ground, which caught them off guard. Some were like lightning striking the humans, and some were slow and got close bit by bit. Some were proactive and directly attacked, some supported, making sounds to distract the humans.

There were plants all around the rainforest. The algae beneath them were all mutated plants. This caused the Cloud Peak formation to mess up slightly.

It wasn’t that they couldn’t defeat these fellows. Their attacks and appearance were too weird and unexpected.

After the high-level mutated plants and animals joined, the defensive formation was split open.

Ye Zhognming frowned and realised the problem.

If this continued and the warriors were forced to breathe, this would cause a huge disadvantage, and casualties would start to appear.

Ye Zhongming didn’t want to waste his precious close guards in such a place.

He observed the surroundings and made a decision.

With each team as a unit, they split up to break through and then gather in a specific location. Ye Zhongming would hold the rear for them.

Only Xia Bai was unhappy, and there was nothing she could do.

Cloud Peak’s team started to split in all directions. Ye Zhongming and Xia Bai attacked and tried to attract attention.

They were unafraid and just felt annoyed.

The plan was smooth. The female guards and Chameleon got free. Although some mutated lifeforms chased them, they fought and retreated successfully.

Ye Zhongming told Xia Bai to lead her team away. He would delay most of the mutated lifeforms himself.

Xia Bai told him to take care of himself before leaving. Only Ye Zhongming was left.

The Cloud Peak king felt it was about time and turned to leave.

At that moment, before he took a step, he felt that something had locked onto him.

At the same time, extreme danger forced him to stop.

If he continued walking, the lifeform that made him feel danger would chase those Cloud Peak teams.

This feeling was weird, but Ye Zhongming was sure he felt it correctly. That mysterious enemy was sending him such a message.

He had to think about the seven-star evolved that died here and his mission's final goal.

He took out his Staff of Nature and placed it beside him. This allowed him to search for that mysterious enemy.

Water Bottle Protection rose, causing the mutated lifeform attacks to stop. After noticing that the barrier had no attack strength, they continued to attack.

This pause was short, but it allowed Ye Zhongming to find where the lifeform was.

He deactivated the staff and charged in that direction. His blade slashed a few dozen times as he moved towards that direction.

There was no need to hold back against something that made him feel danger.

Blade light landed on the lifeforms in that direction and left an area without life. This cruel act terrified many lifeforms.

But Ye Zhongming wasn’t happy as he saw that the lifeform was gone.

He had clearly sensed it here, but it was gone.

Ye Zhongming’s battle experience made him leave his spot. He continued to move in that direction. At this point, he heard laughter from behind him.

This laughter sent a chill down his spine. Wind and Lightning slashed behind him, and he used the momentum to turn around.

But he felt his eyes black out, and the surroundings changed.
