Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Dacheng looked at the two women and placed the phone in his bag. This recording would come in handy when he exposed Bai Meiyue's pregnancy! Let's see how this woman would be able to refute it. He would make this woman regret looking down on him. Just wait! He would surely make this woman suffer the greatest humiliation that she deserves.

He sneered and turned on his feet to leave. On the first floor, everyone helped in collecting the medical supplies and placing them inside the truck and the three ambulances that were cleared up. Bai Meiyue and Shen Zhen arrived just in time for the last bit of instruments to clear up.

"Is that all?" She asked while looking at Doctor Cui, who pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and nodded. "There were a few instruments that were broken by the survivors when they were trying to escape when the doomsday broke all over the world. I will try to look for them in the next hunt with you."

He then turned to look at the few survivors who came with him and said to Bai Meiyue, "Don't worry, these people are not problematic like the others. They are all cancer patients, and I would like them to live a quiet life for as long as they can stay alive."

Bai Meiyue's eyes softened when she heard the words of the man. She turned to look at the survivors, who seemed sickly and thin. She said to them, "Are you hungry?"

Before even one of them could answer, Doctor Cui's stomach, who was standing next to her, rumbled so loudly that she was sure that everyone in the vicinity heard him.

Seeing this, the nurse who followed Doctor Cui couldn't help but say, "Didn't you say that you had enough, Doctor Cui? Don't tell me that you gave your share to someone else again?"

Doctor Cui didn't answer. Instead, it was a little child who clutched his shirt and looked up at Bai Meiyue and Doctor Cui. With his eyes wide with disbelief, the child looked at Doctor Cui and asked in horror, "Did I? Did I eat your share, Doctor Cui?"

"No, you didn't." Doctor Cui shook his head and spoke in a stern voice, "I ate my own share, and I am not hungry."

The second he finished speaking, his belly rumbled once again and the child who was speaking turned teary-eyed. It seemed like he was on the verge of crying at any second.

"Jeez, Doctor Cui. you always do this." Zhou Hongbei was helpless when he saw the pathetic situation Doctor Cui was in at that moment. He then turned to look at Shen Zhen and asked, "Do you have anything to eat?"

"No," Shen Zhen was also helpless. It wasn't that she didn't want to share her supplies with Doctor Cui; she truly didn't have anything to eat. She shared her share with the children as she thought that they would collect more in the future. Who would have thought that Doctor Cui even handed his own supplies to the kids?

Now, what were they supposed to do?

"You can share mine," Bai Meiyue said to Doctor Cui. She handed him the jerky and the few snacks that she had brought with her hand and handed them to him and the children. "If you are hungry, then you can eat more; you are still growing, so there is no need to hold back."

These kids were one day going to turn into quite powerful ability users; she could naturally not leave them alone.

"Is it okay?" Lu Yin walked over to where Lei Qian was standing and then said to him, "Brother Lei, is this really fine? You and the rest worked really hard to collect those supplies and she just shared them without asking you. Don't you think that she is too unkind to do this?"

Lei Qian was filled with envy when he saw Bai Meiyue taking care of Doctor Cui. He wished that the woman would look at him with such kindness and treat him with care just like that. Because he was not happy, his expression was not great either. He turned to look at Lu Yin, who had poked him on the back, and said to her,

"What do you mean, we collected it? The one who collected these supplies is none other than Bai Meiyue. She was the one who collected them and she was also the one who led us to collect these supplies. Who do you think you are to say such a thing?" Lei Qian said to Lu Yin in a loud voice. Because he was irritable, his voice was rather loud as he said to her, "Also, how many times do I have to tell you? Don't try to cling to me. I know that you like me but I have already rejected you, haven't I? Do I need to say something harsh for you to understand that I have no intention to get together with you?"

Lei Qian knew that he was being harsh, but he had already done everything that he could to make Lu Yin understand that he had no intention of getting close to her. However, Lu Yin seemed to be treating him as if he was just saying empty words, like he needed some fixing done.

"I.." Lu Yin's eyes turned red. She looked at Lei Qian in astonishment, as she could not believe that Lei Qian had humiliated her like this. Her face was thin to begin with and after getting scolded by the person whom she liked, Lu Yin couldn't hold on. She turned on her feet and ran away crying, feeling angry and frustrated. Why couldn't Lei Qian see her goodness!?
