Ascending the Demon Realm

"This is the legendary Donghuang Bell used by Demon Emperor Donghuang Taiyi..." Xiao Fen began explaining.

"I know. I've seen it online," interrupted a voice filled with familiarity.

"Pfft. Donghuang Bell's a joke~" A nasal tone suddenly cut in, causing me to freeze. Who could this be? Why wasn't Yu Tu reacting?

Glancing over, Yu Tu had already moved on, muttering, "This is..." The unexpected interruption hung in the air.

The voice continued with a rap:  

"Yo, yo~ Demons these days ain't worth squat, watchin' these weaklings makes my temper hot."

Yu Tu finally noticed my tension. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Ancestral demons could make gods kneel, now these maggots can't even peel..." The voice echoed mockingly.

Following the sound, I crept toward a branching path guarded by pulsing crimson runes and a solitary dimensional gate.

The words throbbed violently, flaring crimson.

"The sword's residual energy harms lesser demons," Yu Tu griped my arm anxiously as the rapper taunted:  

"These modern worms ain't fit to sweep my floor..."

Too savage. Other demons fled, sensing danger I couldn’t perceive. Yu Tu confirmed the sealed sword leaked lethal aura.

"Ancestral demons shook the cosmos, now they cower outside my door..." The voice mocked, growing unbearable.

Enough. I stepped through the barrier into an empty hall with a waist-high pedestal. At its center, surrounded by rippling seals, stood a... nail file? Tiny, crystalline, slightly curved.

Yu Tu tensed as we approached.  

"Yo! A human?" The nail file-sized blade suddenly shrilled. "You DARE mock my size?!"

Yu Tu yanked me back as the hall quaked. The "nail file" expanded, glowing with emerald runes as containment seals whirled frantically.

"INSOLENT MORTAL! I'LL CARVE YOUR BONES!" It bellowed with primordial fury.

The structure vibrated, and Yu Tu dragged me toward the exit.  

"It's breaking free!"

"Why display something this dangerous?" I asked.

"Because no one can move it!" Yu Tu replied.

I gaped. This was the demon realm's most hazardous squatter—probably related to the Golden Cudgel!
