Zhuo Li then directed his attention towards Gu Hong and Jiang Yan. "Junior brother Gu and Junior sister Jiang," he addressed them, "the Legion has entrusted you with the mission of leading the three new members to the Sacred Records Sanctum."

Curiosity sparked within Liang Yifei as he inquired about the unfamiliar term, "The Sacred Records Sanctum?"

Zhuo Li promptly provided an explanation, "It can be considered like a repository for the Legion's extensive collection of books and knowledge. Every member has the privilege to enter it once upon joining."

Han Zhi, always polite and inquisitive, interjected, "And what if we wish to enter it again?"

Zhuo Li's laughter filled the room as he replied, "Certainly, you can enter again, but it will require corresponding contribution points."

Liang Yifei smiled, he truly admired Zhuo Li's ability to balance seriousness with a lighthearted chuckle.

"Now, let us focus on the crux of the matter," Zhuo Li resumed. "Typically, new members are granted a minimum of six months with the sanctum. However, considering that you have all recently joined and have been assigned a mission which is uncommon for new members, we have decided to grant you an additional six months."

Witnessing the perplexity in Liang Yifei and Han Zhi's gaze, Jiang Yan spoke in a gentle tone, "Allow me to clarify, there is a customary regulation within our legion, stating that newly enlisted members are exempt from mission assignments for the initial millennium."

A gasp of surprise escaped Xue Ren's lips as he processed the generous offer. "So, we will have a whole year in the sanctum?" he questioned, a mixture of excitement and curiosity evident in his voice.

Zhuo Li's eyes twinkled with delight as he confirmed, "Indeed. You will have a full year to explore the depths of the sanctum."

Unable to contain his eagerness, Xue Ren inquired, "When do we set off ?"

Zhuo Li chuckled warmly, his laughter resonating throughout the room. "Today,"

Liang Yifei's eyes widened in surprise, his heart skipping a beat, as Zhuo Li's words sank in, He didn't expect that they will set of so soon.

The atmosphere in the room immediately transformed, charged with an electric sense of urgency and anticipation. Every person in the room held their breath in anticipation of what would come next.

Sinking into his chair, Liang fixated his gaze upon the low lacquered table before him. Its polished surface gleamed under the warm lighting of the room, captivating his thoughts.

"I will take the lead and make the necessary preparations," he declared. "Gu Hong, Jiang Yan, please accompany Liang Yifei and the others to the astral gate. Gu Hong and Jiang Yan nodded in understanding. Giving them one last glance, Zhuo Li strode purposefully towards the exit, disappearing into the corridor.

As the remaining four members observed Zhuo Li's departure, excitement bubbled within Xue Ren. He couldn't help but feel a growing sense of anticipation. The Sacred Records Sanctum had always enticed him, unlike any other place.

With Zhuo Li gone, Gu Hong gestured for Liang, Xue Ren, and Han Zhi to follow him. The trio rose from their seats and fell into step behind Gu Hong, traversing the antechamber and heading back to the spiral staircase.

Jiang Yan lingered briefly, her gaze sweeping across the room before she gracefully stood up. Casting one last glance at the Gu board, she elegantly joined her comrades.

Upon reaching the base of the staircase once more, they found themselves in the grand hall of the first floor. They passed through the hall and made their way towards the exit.

Exiting the pagoda, they strolled along a stone path that led them away from the central area.

While walking, Liang's curiosity surged within him. He turned to Xue Ren and inquired, "Brother Xue, is the sanctum located in another world as well?"

Xue Ren nodded, his expression pensive. "Indeed, it is. And I've heard it's quite distant. Even with the astral gate, the journey will take no less than six months."

Pausing briefly to gather his thoughts, Xue Ren continued, "From what I've gathered, the sanctum is a world of its own, teeming with ancient knowledge and concealed secrets. The library within the Sanctum is said to be unparalleled, housing books and records from countless worlds and eras."

After reaching the astral gate, Gu Hong took out his badge and directed it towards the astral gate. Suddenly, without warning, a circular stone tablet emerged from the ground, its surface adorned with intricate carvings.

As the others watched in awe, Gu Hong placed his hand on the engraved surface of the tablet. The moment his hand made contact, a soft vibration resonated through the air, and the tablet came alive with a soft, pulsating glow.

Xue Ren leaned in, his voice barely above a whisper, "It's the Coordinates board."
