Ascension of The Unholy Immortal

Chapter 92: Huge Price

Although he had anticipated the price, hearing it nearly broke his heart.

Even though he possessed elemental crystals acquired from the various sects he had vanquished, as well as personally refined void crystals, he found himself still lacking.

Perhaps he could offer some of his techniques as payment, but that would be perilous, considering that most of them were tied to his bloodline, and the rest had been obtained from the Saturas Hall. Comprehending those techniques would require the corresponding jade slips.

The only technique he possessed that held any value was the Nine Heavenly Spirits Refining Manual.

Just as he was about to make his decision, the young woman's voice interrupted.

"Sir, by the way, are you a blacksmith?" she asked.

Liang pondered for a moment before nodding.

The young woman's eyes brightened. "If I may be so bold, could you show me a weapon you have crafted?"

A thought flashed through Liang's mind, and a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"Why not?" he replied.

With a swift wave of his hand, the crimson serpent sword materialized.

The young woman's eyes widened even more as she examined the sword.

"It's truly rare to encounter a blacksmith who is also a Void cultivator below the Void Transformation Realm," the young woman remarked, her delicate fingers brushing against the sword blade.

Liang's eyes narrowed upon hearing her words, and his expression darkened. "What do you mean by that?"

The young woman chuckled. "Mister Liang, you need not worry. We have no ill intentions."

"In fact," she continued, "we were actually about to look for you, But who would have thought that you would be the one to come looking for us?" She finished her sentence with a hand covering her mouth.

Soon, realization dawned on him, Although he had been keeping a low profile since he joined the Legion. However, news like this would probably not remain hidden from the other factions.

If any of these powerful cultivators had done some research, finding information about his background and abilities wouldn't be too difficult.

It was highly likely that the other factions would soon be searching for him as well.

The ability to control the void is extremely rare, as confirmed by his encounter with Yun Wei.

While cultivators in the void transformation realm can control the void to some extent, their abilities are limited to traveling through it and not much else.

As for why "The All Things Chamber" is looking for him, it's highly probable that they want him to open a rift or refine void-related materials which can only be refined by void Dao cultivators.

"Since you already know all that, what do you want?" Liang asked calmly.

"No need to reach out, Mr. Liang. Please come with me. There's someone who wants to meet you," she said, extending her hand.

Liang's eyes flashed thoughtfully before nodding. "Lead the way."

"Please call me Xia," the young woman said with a sly smile as she moved towards the stairs, with Liang following behind her.

After passing several floors, Liang found himself in front of a wooden door.

Xia opened the door and said politely, "Please, enter."

Upon crossing the door, Liang found himself in a lavishly decorated room adorned with delicate tapestries and intricate carvings. The air was filled with an intoxicating, floral scent, adding an aura of tranquility to the space. Soft, warm light bathed the room, casting a gentle glow on its elegant furnishings.

The room featured exquisite furniture crafted from rare woods, with intricate designs and delicate embroidery. Silken curtains billowed gently in the breeze, revealing a breathtaking view of a serene garden filled with blooming flowers and cascading waterfalls. The atmosphere exuded both sophistication and serenity.

Standing alone in the center of the room was a middle-aged woman. She possessed an ethereal beauty, with cascading silver-tinged hair that fell in graceful waves to her waist. Her porcelain complexion was flawless, radiating a serene glow that matched her tranquil essence. Every movement she made seemed effortless and graceful as if she were a celestial spirit descending to the mortal realm.

Her figure was slender and statuesque, accentuated by the elegant white gown she wore. The flowing fabric clung to her curves at the right places, enhancing her allure without revealing too much. A delicate silver necklace adorned her neck, its pendant shimmering with an otherworldly glow.

As Liang entered the room, the middle-aged woman turned towards him, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

The middle-aged woman's voice resonated with melodic power as she spoke, "Greetings, Mr. Liang. I am Lady Xue, the head of 'The All Things Chamber' branch."

Surprise flickered in Liang's eyes as he didn't expect the person he was about to meet to be the branch head.

"It's a great honor to meet you. Miss Xia mentioned that there is something that requires my assistance here," Liang replied politely.

Lady Xue's lips curled into a small smile. "Indeed, there is."

"May I ask what it is?" Liang inquired.

"We need your assistance in fixing a very ancient teleportation formation," Lady Xue explained.

Liang's eyes narrowed slightly as he asked, "This teleportation formation you speak of, where is it located?"

"You've probably heard of the three forbidden grounds, right?" Lady Xue asked.

Liang nodded, acknowledging his familiarity with the forbidden grounds.

Lady Xue's smile widened. "The formation is located in one of the three forbidden grounds, the Hanging Cloud Abyss."

Astonishment flashed in Liang's eyes. The Hanging Cloud Abyss had a notorious reputation even among Dao Integration cultivators. Rumors claimed that no living being had ever ventured to the depths of the Abyss and returned.

"Lady Xue, you are overestimating my abilities. I will not be able to help you with this," Liang shook his head, ready to turn back.

"Please wait, Mister Liang. The formation isn't located in the depths of the Abyss but rather close to the surface," Lady Xue said anxiously.

Seeing Liang hesitate, Lady Xue smiled bitterly. "Mister Liang, if you assist us with this, the All Things Chamber will be extremely grateful to you."

Liang's steps halted. "How so?"

Lady Xue's mouth twitched upon hearing this, realizing that Liang Yifei was trying to extort them.

She let out a soft sigh, composing herself before answering, "We can offer you one hundred thousand Elemental Crystals."

Liang shook his head, determined to get a better deal. "Two hundred thousand Elemental Crystals."

Lady Xue's eyebrows furrowed as she replied with a hint of annoyance, "One hundred and twenty thousand is our limit."

Liang stood his ground, unwilling to budge. "One hundred and seventy thousand."

Lady Xue's irritation grew, but she maintained her composure. "One hundred and fifty thousand Elemental Crystals and that is our final offer."
