The members of the White Raven division trudged toward the makeshift camp, their bodies battered, limbs sore, and many of their prides bruised.
Aurora was at the forefront, leading the group with a serious gaze. Her mind replayed the battle she had just fought, thinking of ways to better herself before the next session.
Just behind her, Nate limped dramatically, arms flailing as he continued his one-man campaign of self-glorification.
"I almost had it," he said. "If they had given me just a little more time, I would have destroyed that damn thing."
Several recruits threw him dirty glances, more so from the Ravenstein youths.
"You couldn't even react to any of its movements," Lucas muttered, rubbing his sore arms.
Nate scoffed. "How would you know? You were too busy getting your ass beat to notice!"
A chorus of snickers followed as Lucas turned to glare daggers at Nate.
