Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent

Chapter 309 The Three Requests for the Angels

Alex didn't feel like eating.

And much like the other angels around the table, whom were Volks' family, he didn't touch the food.

It wasn't poisoned, he was sure of it since his [Cursed Eyes of Truth] confirmed that, but he simply wasn't hungry.

How could he be after experiencing everything he did during these last few hours.

Even the sight of the [God of the Abyss]' true form would have been terrifying enough to kill many, or knock them out.

So the fact he actually held his ground while being blind in Varyn's own domain was already a miracle.

Alex wasn't planning on speeding too much time in [Angel City] either, so without wasting time, he spoke.

"First request."

His tone was calm, but the weight of his words immediately tensed the air.

"No matter what happens from here, you won't betray humanity. And if I ask you to, you'll order your army to eliminate another race or city if needed."

The entire room fell silent, their eyes widened in shock.

This wasn't a simple request.

In fact, it was one of the worst possible things Alex could have asked for, second only to demanding they all take their own lives or become slaves to him.

They knew they couldn't refuse him.

He had killed Varyn, the God of the Abyss, something that had seemed impossible.

He was the strongest person here, stronger even than the Angel King whose eight wings showed he had much experience and skills.

But even then…

To fight alongside humanity was one thing.

But to wage war against other races?

That was another level entirely.

As one of the strongest races, the angels had confidence in their power.

But if Alex forced them to go up against the [Fallen Angels] or the [Dragons], they wouldn't stand a chance.

These were the only two races that could surpass them in pure strength.

The dragons were powerful and mostly had the [Primordial Dragons].

While the [Fallen Angels] were few in number, but each one of them was enough to destroy everything.

Alex noticed their hesitation.

"Don't worry," he said, his voice steady. "It won't be the dragons or fallen angels. It'll be races weaker than you. And honestly, you might not even need to fight, I'll take care of most of them myself."

The angels exchanged glances.

Alex wasn't expecting them to go up against the gods, the Hatred Sect, the Evil Grand Mages, or any race that could pose a real challenge.

He didn't believe in them, in fact, he didn't believe in anyone but himself to get the job done.

That was why he wanted to be so strong, to get enough power to handle everything by himself.

But even then, there were plenty of weaker races that needed to be eliminated.

The [Dark Elves], the [Minotaurs], the [Orcs], the [Demons], they were all obstacles in his way.

If the angels helped wipe them out, it would save him time and effort.

More importantly, having the angels as allies instead of enemies was already a victory in itself.

Alex closed his eyes, mentally reviewing his [Elimination List].

[Alex's Elimination List]

[The Angels (Completed – Now under his command.)]

[The Dark Elves.]

[The entire Demon Race.]

[The Gods (18 remain).]

[The Hatred Sect and Hatred Demon.]

[Evil Grand Mages.]

[Lich, The Necromancer]

[Primordial Dragons. (New target.)]

[All races that oppose him. (New target.)]

The first one was done.

Now, only eight remained.

And with the angels on his side, one of them, maybe two, could be taken care of much sooner as well.

Volks, the Angel King, let out a slow breath.

"Very well," he said at last. "We will fight alongside you. But I won't force my people to risk their lives for no reason."

"I'll make sure they won't have to," Alex reassured him. "I'll give you easy battles, against enemies you can defeat without struggle."

Volks studied Alex carefully.

For some reason, he knew Alex was telling the truth.

It wasn't just his words, it was the divine aura around him.

It was overwhelming.

This human wasn't ordinary.

He was something far more dangerous.

All of them could see that.

But Alex quickly moved on without hesitation.

"Second request."

Volks braced himself.

"I want the [Annihilation Crucifix]."

This time, the tension in the room shifted.

This request was far easier than the first, but for Alex, it was the most important. Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

The [Annihilation Crucifix] was what he needed to help him fight the [Undead Lord] and have a chance against Lich, the necromancer

It was also the key to lifting the curse on Arcelia and waking her up after all these months.

The only problem?

Alex didn't know exactly where it was, only that it was in a place "both holy and cursed."

Volks didn't hesitate.

"Very well," he said. "We'll retrieve it from the [Cursed Cathedral] and give it to you."

That was easier than expected.

"It should be ready by tomorrow."

Alex nodded, "Good."

Two down.

Now for the third.

He smirked.

This one was going to be interesting.

"And my last request…"

The angels tensed, waiting.

Alex leaned back in his chair slightly, a confident grin on his face.

"I respect the angel race," he said. "So I want to become one of you."

Volks blinked.

The others froze.

"Killing a god should prove my strength, right?"

Volks barely needed a moment to think.

"True," he said without hesitation. "That should be the easiest request of them all."

He smiled.

"I'll set up the ceremony soon. No need for the trial."

Alex grinned.

"Nice."

That had gone smoother than expected.

"You can stay in the [Golden Palace] tonight," Volks offered. "We'll prepare a room for you."

Alex shook his head.

"No need. I have other things to do. I'll be back tomorrow, just have everything ready by then."

"Understood."

Alex knew the angels only respected him because of his power.

If he wasn't strong, they wouldn't hesitate to turn on him.

But as long as he kept his position, as long as he held absolute strength, they wouldn't dare betray him.

And if every other race could be forced to follow him the same way, it would make things ten times easier.

Unfortunately, he knew that wouldn't be possible.

There were still too many threats left.

The [Chosen Games] were approaching fast.

He had to visit the [Garden of Destiny] and talk to [Kaelios] about what was coming.

But before all that…

He had one more stop to make.

Alex stood up.

"I'm leaving," he said simply. "See you tomorrow, Angel King."

Before Volks could reply, Alex activated his [World Map], saving the [Golden Palace] as a teleportation point.

Then, with a single tap, he vanished.

...

A flash of light filled the air.

And Alex reappeared instantly, standing at the top of the [Mage Tower].

More specifically, inside [Arceus' Chamber].

The familiar scent of old books filled the air.

Scrolls, magical artifacts, and stacks of papers were scattered around the Grand Mage's desk.

Sitting at that desk, flipping through a tome, was Arceus himself.

It had been months since Alex had last seen him.

But nothing had changed.

Arceus was still as focused as ever, completely immersed in his studies.

Alex smirked.

'Ahhh.'

He had been through a lot since the last time he was here.

But still...

'This place feels nice.' he thought.

Even though Arceus definitely didn't want him here.
