Chapter 812: 407, internal response_2
Alicia Linder heard this, lifted her head, and glared fiercely at Oscar, her look as if it could devour him. She scolded, “Shut up! I don’t need your guidance to do my job!” Though she spoke toughly, Alicia Linder knew in her heart that if she couldn’t find the key, just studying these locks would be a hopeless endeavor to open them.
Thinking of this, Alicia Linder released the iron ring she was holding, as if she had touched something dirty, and shook off the hand that had touched Oscar’s body, as if she was trying to shed bad luck. Then, she took a deep breath and turned to start rummaging through the room.
Jack stood aside, watching Alicia Linder, who was busy and constantly bending to search in the room through the semi-transparent light screen, and gently shook his head. He asked, “Oscar has killed countless people, have you really decided to save this bastard?”
Alicia Linder didn’t lift her head, replying resolutely, “I’m a police officer. Whether it’s saving people or catching them, it’s my duty.” As she spoke, she found a key under the chair she had just sat on. She picked it up happily and examined it closely, only to find that the bottom of the cylindrical key was completely flat and didn’t match the indentations of the five locks. In an instant, her hope was dashed, and a hint of disappointment flashed across her eyes.
At this moment, Jack’s voice sounded again: “There are a total of thirty keys in this room, and twenty-five of them are fake. You better think it over. Continuing to search might just be a waste of effort.” Alicia Linder seemed not to hear him, still concentrating on searching every corner of the room.
What do you think?
