Chapter 60: Chapter 060 You Like Him_1
Jiang Nanfei rushed on her way home, worrying about whether her parents had returned from the provincial capital. She’d been out since the early morning, and in the course of a day, so much had happened. Yet, none of them were as shocking as being kissed by Huo Beijiang.
“Jiang Nanfei, why are your cheeks red?”
The confused voice of Xie Fei pulled Jiang Nanfei back from her chaotic thoughts. She pursed her lips and replied, “It must be too hot.”
“Maybe you should slow down a bit! There’s no rush.”
“You may not be in a hurry, but I am.” She suddenly stopped, “If you have nothing to say, stop following me!”
“Don’t you know when you’re well off?” Xie Fei’s eyes widened in anger, “Speak to me politely.”
“Ha…ha…I can’t.”
“What do you mean?” Xie Fei was frustrated, he clearly wanted to have a proper conversation with Jiang Nanfei, but he couldn’t suppress his anger. Also, she used to avoid offending him, always keeping her distance whenever she saw him. Why was she so bold today?
“Being polite to you… that’s hard for me.” Right now, she really wasn’t in the mood to go back and forth with Xie Fei. She had just been reborn not long ago, and to her, Xie Fei was like an old classmate she hadn’t seen in over a decade.
And they had a particularly bad relationship.
Xie Fei gritted his teeth before huffily saying: “I want to warn you to stay away from Qiao Jingxuan.”
Jiang Nanfei was startled, her clear and bright eyes filled with a faint smile. But if you really looked, you could see that her smile was just a surface layer. Deep down, she was filled with pent-up resentment.
Qiao Jingxuan! She muttered this name slowly in her mouth, and it seemed to carry a bloody taste every time she did.
The manipulator of emotions, the deceiver of trust, and the culprit behind the car accident that killed her. All these were related to Qiao Jingxuan. God knows how hard she had tried to not show her extreme disgust.
“Did you hear what I said?” Xie Fei yelled.
Jiang Nanfei blinked, and her faint smile finally covered her bloody taste and disgust. She pursed her perfect lips into a shallow smile, her clear eyes full of sincerity. “What, do you have a crush on Qiao Jingxuan? So you’re into Qiao Jingxuan!”
Xie Fei’s cheeks flushed, and he jumped up in anger, “What nonsense are you talking about? How could I possibly like him? Jiang Nanfei, are you disgusting?”
“If you like him, there’s no need to be embarrassed, I understand you.”
“I’m talking about you, not me.” Xie Fei was so angry his head was spinning, “He is a villain, you liking him just shows that you’re a fool.”
“Thank you! You’re absolutely right!” Jiang Nanfei replied earnestly.
“What am I right about?”
“Qiao Jingxuan is a villain. I am a fool. Both are correct.” She finished speaking, waving casually at Xie Fei with her back turned. “I’m off now! Goodbye.” Then she turned and chose a small path leading back to the village.
Her slender figure disappeared among the boundless green rice fields.
Xie Fei stared at her receding back for a moment, stunned. By the time he recovered, he was startled by Gongxi Yunqi who quietly stood behind.
“Do you have a sixth sense? Why do you always like to stand behind people and scare them?”
“No!”
“What do you mean by ‘no’?” Xie Fei ruffled his hair in frustration, feeling his IQ dropping today, as everyone seemed to be speaking in riddles. “I’m asking why are you standing behind me to scare me?”
Gongxi Yunqi’s handsome face showed a hint of confusion, then he asked curiously, “So you like Qiao Jingxuan? Is that why you always have a beef with Jiang Nanfei?”
Xie Fei blew his top.
“Damn it! Damn it…You’re the one who likes Qiao Jingxuan, your whole family likes Qiao Jingxuan, all eighteen generations of your ancestors must be in love with Qiao Jingxuan!”
Gongxi Yunqi: “…”
What do you think?
