Chapter 280 A Shop Unlike Any Other
Lucius watched as Luna, Liora, and Loreia left to carry out their tasks.
Their new abilities will allow them to move with purpose and efficiency.
Now, it was his turn to handle an important matter.
He needed to create another beast like Lilia. A guardian beast dedicated to Luna's beast-selling business.
Lucius folded his arms as he was thinking. "But how should I do it?"
Lilia had been made from Draemor, the Spectral Knight.
But now that Draemor no longer existed, he had no base entity to hack. "I can't use the same method as before."
His gaze shifted toward Lilia, who was renovating the mansion with some of her silver golems.
Then, an idea struck him and Lucius' smirk returned. "Wait... could I actually do this?"
If what he was thinking was possible, then he wouldn't just be able to create one more guardian.
He could mass-produce them. The possibilities were endless.
But first, let's make Lilia's stat into full S-Rank as she was the main guardian.

Lilia soon felt that she had become stronger thanks to her newly enhanced S-Rank stats.
Though she felt the tremendous increase in power, Lucius ignored it entirely.
He had something more important to test. "Now, let's see if I can do this."
Lucius turned to his system, issuing a new hack. "System, clone Lilia. Name the new entity Liline."
"Her core structure should remain the same, but this time she would have a new purpose."
"Keep all the knowledge Lilia possesses, but inject additional expertise: commerce, beast caretaking, and beast shop design."
Lucius needed a true manager for the business, someone who understood not just the trade but how to properly care for and present the beasts they would sell.
He continued, "Make her my contracted beast, just like Lilia."
He then smirked as he thought about changing her form. Each guardian needed to be unique.
"Her appearance should be slightly different. Keep the silver hair, but tie it into a bun—a symbol of her caretaker role."
And of course, not only her appearance, her attire also needed to be unique.
"For her attire, give her a black and silver business suit with an elegant silver-black coat. A professional look befitting her role."
To conserve Hack Points, he added one last condition. "Match her stats to Lilia's, but leave her abilities blank."

Lucius watched closely as a single strand of Lilia's fallen hair began to twist and reform into a new being.
Within seconds, another silver-haired woman stood before him.
Her appearance was similar to Lilia, yet distinctly different.
Her hair tied into a neat bun, her posture poised and professional.
Her business attire also reflected the level of elegance fitting a shop manager.
Lucius smirked. "It worked. It really works."
Liline opened her eyes, immediately locking onto Lucius. Without hesitation, she bowed gracefully.
"Master. I am Liline. From now on, I shall oversee all matters concerning the beast shop."
Lilia, standing beside her, observed Liline curiously. "So, I have a sister now."
Liline smiled gently. "It appears so. I look forward to working alongside you, Lilia."
Lucius chuckled, pleased with the result. But then, his smirk faded slightly as he checked his remaining Hack Points.
"Tch. That cost way too much."
He crossed his arms. "At this rate, I won't be able to mass-produce them."
It was possible, but the price was steep—too steep to make an army of personalized caretakers and defenders.
Still, one was enough for now.
Lucius sighed but smirked again. "Well, no matter. Liline, welcome to the Luxoria Family."
Liline bowed once more. "It is an honor, Master. I shall ensure our business thrives."
Lucius grinned. The Luxoria Empire was beginning to take shape.
---
Luna and Loreia moved swiftly through the shadow as they rode atop Loxen, Luna's shadow beast.
Loreia let out a small sigh, adjusting her position. "Just where the hell is this place, Luna?"
Luna grinned. "Don't worry, big sis. It's not that far. With Loxen, we'll get there in no time."
Loreia nodded slowly, glancing at the dark landscape around them. "Yeah, I get that. But still… are you sure about this location?"
Luna tilted her head slightly. "Why? Having doubts?"
Loreia crossed her arms. She was uncertain. "You said it was dangerous, right? Won't that just scare away potential customers?"
Luna's smirk widened. "Oh, big sister, you're thinking too normally."
Loreia raised her eyebrow. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?"
Luna chuckled, flicking her fingers. "If we don't stand out, how will we dominate the market? In business, being unique is the key to success."
Loreia narrowed her eyes. "Unique? You mean reckless."
Luna laughed. "No, I mean genius. Listen—if we make it too easy, then anyone can buy our beasts. That's not what we want."
Luna clenched her fist. "We need to create an exclusive, high-tier image. Our beasts will be top-quality, and their price alone will filter out the weak."
Luna smirked, shaking her finger. "The difficulty of reaching our shop? That will only add to its legend."
Loreia exhaled, thinking it over. "And you're sure people will still come?"
Luna grinned confidently. "Of course. If we provide the best beasts in the world, people will find a way to reach us, no matter how dangerous the journey is."
Luna touched Loreia's chin. "That's how business works—the more exclusive something is, the more people want it."
She then gave Loreia a playful nudge. "Besides, with Master backing us, our beasts will be unrivaled. We'll build a reputation so strong that even kings will come crawling to us."
Loreia sighed, shaking her head. "Fine, fine. You sound too confident for me to argue."
Continue your journey at My Virtual Library Empire
Luna smirked. "That's because I'm always right."
Loreia rolled her eyes. "You're unbearable."
Luna grinned wider. "And yet, here you are, working with me."
Loreia exhaled sharply. "I regret it already."
Luna giggled. "Too late. We're already on our way."
What do you think?
